After seeing Babymetal i was ordered to watch Karen Girls! So here’s my reaction to My Wings from Karen’s Girls!

    The wings of this song logo are used as the SU-METAL symbol of the BABYMETAL logo.
    MOAMETAL is the heart and YUIMETAL is the skull.

    That is correct, the wings in the BABYMETAL logo represent Su; the hearts in the logo represent Moa and the skull represents Yui.

    there is a video that shows the girls in SG doing a performance and in that video Yui and Moa had the symbols skull and heart on their shirts and some think this is where the heart and skull came from.

    Im a fan of karen girls and babymetal (I recognized Su when BM debuted)…funny thing is, I never bother listening to Sakura Gakuin until 2 months ago, and Im addicted to them…I feel kinda bad not give SG a try a decades ago when Su, Yui and Moa were still in the group 🥺

    Thank you for following my suggestion. Regarding the wings: I'm absolutely convinced, this logo has something to do with Suzuka's choice of her element in the BABYMETAL logo.

    I especially love this Karen Girls song, because all three have their own solo part. And obviously all of them are equally talented. I don't know, which career Yuika had chosen, but Ayami became a solo pop artist after graduation from Sakura Gakuin. She has two (I believe) albums out by now but has done a break from the entertainment industry to study abroad (in New Zealand IIRC).

    About the other girls. The first one who sang solo is Muto Ayami. She and Su were two of the founding members of Sakura Gakuin where Babymetal was born. You could argue that Moa and Yui also were founding members, but officially they started a few months later than the others. They started the rehearsal and so on at the same time as the other members. Ayami had a solo project after she graduated from Sakura Gakuin. She was apparently fairly successful as well. After a few years she announced she was taking a break to figure out what she want to do with her life. She had been working in the industry since she very young and kind of gone with the flow and never really stopped and evaluating. She left Japan and studied English in New Zealand for two(?) years but are now back. She has been posting a lot of music on her instagram since she came back to Japan and me personally is fairly sure she is working on a comeback. Her instagram activities is way to scheduled and well done to be just for fun. She has even talked to people behind the camera when she thought is was off. It looks like she's sitting in an office doing that thing.

    The third member is Yuika Shima. I don't know as much about her. She has been working in the entertainment industry ever since. The last few years mostly as an actress. She and Iida Raura (also a former Sakura Gakuin member) had an online show called Spika no yoro (Night of spika in english) You should check out when Ayami was their guest. She did the worlds best burikko (acting super cute as a child)

    Like 'Over the Future', 'MY WINGS' was written to be opening theme music for the anime 'Zettai Karen Children'.
    I've watched half a dozen episodes or so, and it's actually a pretty funny show.
    Starting with episode 27, the opening theme changed from 'Over the Future' to "MY WINGS".
    Karen Girl's also released a studio album, 'Fly to the Future', which included those two songs, plus five others.

    No subtitles, but it's only 4 and a half minutes long.

    As people have said the wings represent Su in the logo, and the hearts Moa, and the skulls Yui. The latter two come from a Sakura Gakuin project where Moa drew a heart and Yui a skull

    If I were to guess why wings for Su, when this song was performed on TV in short form as they do, Su is the only one who had a solo, so it is the first solo she had professionally. Might mean something to her,

    And in time I think you should see the Sakura Gakuin nendo tests, skits, and SUN episodes, where you get to see Su, Moa, and Yui act and show their personalities. There's so much more to see!

    You should watch the first public performance of Sakura Gakuin live. First is Doki Doki Morning by them and next "motteke sailor fuku sakura gakuin" where Su dances so strong and Yui and Moa so cute. Also Yui and Moa's t-shirts they designed became part of the Babymetal logo. Also one audience member is now "famous", haha.

    One of the other girls had a contract to be a solo singer (Ayami Muto) then retired now is back and does small live shows. The other is actress and singer (Yuika Shima) and was part of Spica no Yoru which had a soft techno sound in the chiptune genre.

    one of the other girl in Karens Girls, Ayami Muto, was also in Sakura Gakuin with Su and was in the sub-unit, Twinklestars, with Moa and Yui.

    you should be able to recognize ayumi, who was one of the founding members of Sakura GAkuin along with Su, the other girll, Yuki did not join SG
