    @evexxxxx I don't think it matters much–sure, if you get some asshole touching a girl in public it is an issue, and a serious one; it is just from my experience the Japanese adore youth.

    The manga depicting sex with 8 year-olds is sickening; this is nowhere near that, and I have seen women checking out the photo books of girls quite frequently. Trust me, it's another mindset.

    No offence–I just want to give a different perspective to this.

    @chuckiies88lover I have lived in Japan for 15 years, and believe me–in Asia in general, youth is revered. Youthful beauty, that is. You even see it in the boy-band pop groups, so it's not just girls.

    I personally find the girl to be very beautiful, and there is nothing wrong in that. She's lovely, the photo shoot isn't sexual in the least.

    Believe me, you have to live here to get it.

    You are now aware of the fact that I probably lived in Japan before you were even born. No need to tell me about different mindsets.
    This is really going to be my last post on this subject, and I can only repeat for the 100th time: NO, OF COURSE IT`S NOT 100% PERVERTS who look at this! But ESPECIALLY IN JAPAN, where people are oh so worried about what other people could think of them, this is a clear indicator that it`s not a biggie WHATSOEVER to look at underage kids as an adult!

    I agree. It was a recommended view, and I watch them all usually, even if it is something I'm not interested in generally. Anyway, the models are pretty, they look like they are having fun–so what! The same men who would go off to Thailand to have sex with an under-age girl are probably the loudest opponents to this sort of thing. There are some things we cannot force western morals upon, so I wish these guys would shut it.

    Most likely around 11 or 12. She's a member of a pop group. Young kids in pop groups are very common in Japan. Many actresses around today as adults started when they were quite young–Chiaki Kuriyama (Kill Bill), who began modelling when she was in her early teens (she was the subject of some controversy due to her partial nude images in a photo book when she was 13), is still active today.

    I'm just stating a few facts about the entertainment industry here in Japan. I think you misunderstood me. I in no way condone the sale of child porn or even much of the adult porn here; those are more serious concerns than a pop group of young girls. This is just an Asian thing, and I know it is taken too far too often. Don't lump me in with the sickos. I don't listen to their music by the way.

    By the way, Kishin Shinoyama, the photographer who produced Chiaki's photo book also took the iconic cover photo on Lennon's Double Fantasy album. He's renowned mainly for his nudes, but obviously works outside of the genre.

    @drazapatos Bravo! I've been trying to explain to this guy the very same idea, and he insists on branding me a paedophile. It's the typical knee-jerk reaction you get from self-righteous western men who see themselves as chivalrous, and ultimately they are the most sexist–Oh, we must protect these poor Asian girls! Right. It's all a means to get with them, basically. And, yes, Hitomi is beautiful–so are the other girls!

    She is in a pop group, for goodness sake! Get with the program. This is not pornography. And why shouldn't her parents be proud? She is pretty and talented–if this group becomes popular, tell me how different it is from Speed or Morning Musume. Those girls did very well for themselves, and nobody raised a fuss–and they were young too.

    @drazapatos It seems little chibaboy reckons himself some sort of chivalrous hero of old–which in fact makes him completely sexist, because chivalry assumes the poor girls are too weak to fend for themselves. Girls and women make choice exactly the same as boys and men do.

    There is nothing perverted about this clip, but chibaboy and his ilk want to make it perverted so as to show they are the cool 'gaijin' that girls should prefer. I've known those sick sorts far too long.

    Will somebody please tell me what is wrong with this?! She's a pop singer! People in popular entertainment are photographed all the time. Photographers go out of their way to bring out their subjects' positive features; I see nothing wrong with this.

    JonBenét Ramsey was only six when she died, and she was already parading around in a far more provocative style! These girls are being portrayed as cute, not sexy. Get over it, uptight (largely) American protesters.

    There is no way she's 7–probably about 12–but even 7-year-olds are beautiful. All children are. What kind of monster are you, disputing that? I have taught children in Japan for 15 years, and I can say that many are really beautiful. The real pervertedness is not being able to say they are.

    And just what actions are you alluding to? Non-existent ones perhaps? Furthermore, you've fallen into an intellectual deep end with me. I can tell you're a lightweight from your sloppy style.

    Today is summer of 2015, so this is 5 years ago.
    新井ひとみ becomes so good now, she is the best J-pop idol singer today. I am totally addicted to her voice. Hope that the 5 girls always stay together.
