JAPANESE HORROR STORY | Nightmare Resort (2023) Movie Recap | Based on an urban legend

hello everybody my name is Kish and welcome back to another recap video and this time we’re talking about a newly released movie nightmare Resort it’s based on an urban legend and the storyline was okay but the movie lacks a sincere creepy plot which is what makes Japanese horror movies great it had kind of comedic tonality but wasn’t a comedy horror it could be much more creepy but you’ll know what I’m talking about along the video so hit that subscribe button if you’re new to my channel and make sure to like this video cuz now I’m going to exploit the story of nightmare Resort so you can decide if you want to watch it or not and with that said let’s dive into the video so the movie begins with three college students and the names were Sakura Satoshi and nazomi the three were on a boat and were on their way towards an island actually you see Sakura was dealing with some stuff back in the city and she was kind of depressed her friends thought she needs a change of Vista so sat she ended up getting a job for all three of them at a resort on that island they were going to spend the vacation there and we can tell that sakur all like Satoshi after a while they reaches the island and there was a small town on it but most of the people have left it town for some reason and was the baron there the three meets with the guy who already works at the resort and his name was kot he takes the three towards the resort and on their way Sakura noticed many statues Kota told a story about a monk who came to live on this island from a place called amori and he was the one who civilized this place however when the monk died he left many orble Legends behind like the water on this island can heal disease and if people go missing by the ocean they can return home just by prayers Kota symbolizes the island rocks with gods and Sakura also sees a Sherman who was ringing Bells towards an island at a distance which is supposed to be a God’s house now everyone finally gets to the result and Sakura wasn’t feeling good about it they they meet with the ERS makiko and her husband kuk who had trouble walking and he was kind of creepy makik around the resort and told them that there’s still time for T season to begin so the three would have plenty of time to enjoy the island at night during dinner we find out that Satoshi doesn’t like Sashimi but anyways Sakira was happy in the moment and was glad that she came for this job however at night she woke up at about 2: a.m. and heard a woman’s footstep from outside that woman turned out to be the owner makiko and she was taking a plate of raw meat upstairs for now Sakura ignores the voice and from the next day their job begins they were little to know people so there wasn’t much to do they enjoyed their stay by playing games but on the second night once again Sakura wakes up by the noise of footsteps and this time she sees makiko’s Shadow Sakura goes to domesticate and she follows makiko for a while until she disappears from a hallway confused Sakira talks about what she saw at the breakfast table but while everyone tells her that it might be a bad dream Koda reveals something else Koda tells him that he to have seen makiko roaming around in the hallway at night she had food in her head and from a secret door in one of the hallway makiko goes to second floor which was off limits Kota tries to scare Everyone by his story but then nazu ret tolds Satoshi and Saki Ur to find that secret door and open it at night as a dare that night Kota and Mobi were outside the resort and meanwhile Sakura and Satoshi found the Secret Door from there Satoshi goes upstairs alone thinking all Sakura safety he goes and opens the door he sees something that affected him in some way as if being possessed by something he sits down and start to wunch on something which worried up Aura she ended up going upstairs with her flashlight but when she called satosi satosi she got startled after seeing his blue demon like eyes Satoshi then came back in a normal State as if he had forgotten what just happened to him and Sakura told him what she just saw in his eyes it was said that Sakura saw that satoshi’s mouth was covered with raw flesh and under his legs were filment of lots of human Nails which Satoshi felt repulsive to and ended up throwing up suly Mako came and a Secura what she was doing upstairs and she sounded a bit creepy luckily nazomi and Kota came just in time and freed their friends from that mass but the next day when Sakura crosses paths with makiko she gave her a really creepy smile which clarifies that there’s something bad in the resort at as well as makiko on the other hand Satoshi was at the front Des but he wasn’t feeling really great when a couple came to buar room at the resort Satoshi looked at the couple and booked one room for a mother father and their child upon which the couple frown cuz they didn’t have a child Satoshi points at the child but no one sees them except him which confuses everyone around Satoshi after a while Satoshi and Sakura went toing laundry work when Satoshi told Sakura to look at a weird little girl Sakura followed where Satoshi was pointing but she just saw a teenage boy and no girl but according to satosi the little girl is standing right there on the road he then ran towards the road but Sakura still didn’t see anything and soshi was convinced that he’s seeing people heing all that Sakura felt like something happened to Satoshi at the second floor and it might be the thing that’s causing all this for Satoshi Sakura asks for a day off from makiko but when she goes to meet with him Satoshi was kind of depressed satosi told Sakura to not open the windows and told her that he’s seeing demonic kids it was then that nazomi came with satoshi’s lunch but as the door opens Satoshi screamed in fear as if he was seeing something demonic which nobody else can see in the end soshi ended up jumping out the window and running away Sakira goes after him and she finds him on a boat she ask him what did he saw and in response he showed her his arm marked with a really long handprint with scale Sakura the the boot owner comes there and ask the two to leave Sakura was then worried about his friend so she decided to make a silly mistake by going upstairs and checking what was it that sh she saw she turned on the torch and goes upstairs but as she opens the door to her room room she was welcomed with a really bad smell of rotten flesh Sakura sees that the room was filled with rotten fluit and besides the room there was a hallway leading to another room which seemingly was sealed by holy incarations she nears towards that room when something started to Bang from the other side we couldn’t help but wonder if there was something behind the door that’s not supposed to come out but obviously Sakura ended up opening the door and henceforth released a forthcoming nightmare inside the room Sakura finds ritualistic things like an alar and inside a drawer she finds hundreds of human nails and one of the drawers were filled with human teeth the scared Sakura with suly she witnessed an 8 ft tall creepy entity outside the door she goes to investigate but found nothing afterward she came back downstairs but found that the area around her mouth was struck with multiple human teeth next day Sakura told her friend that she went upstairs and felt something evil something alien but was than that Satoshi gets scared after looking at some school students actually you see there were total of four students but satosi was saying five and when Sakura counts she too was seeing five students while nazomi was only seeing four one of the students then start to come to towards the friends and her eyes turned black the zie couldn’t see the girl which made it evident that whoever goes to the second floor gets some sort of curse scared Sakura and Satoshi ran to save their lives and the evil girl walks past in thei and bowns to her after running for a while sadosi and Sakura hides in a convenience store where the mistook normal humans for evil it was then that a teenage boy came there and he grabed Sakura’s hand his eyes turned black and Satoshi pushed that boy away however he gave the shop owner and one other guy the impression that Satoshi was stealing something from Sakura and they ended up capturing him the guys did not listen to what Sakura was saying so to save her friend she ended up using a Radice to knock one guy down the two then ran away but came across another student and thinking that she’s evil the two hides however the student was not evil but the two had no clue how to differentiate between evil and human then the teenage boy came back and they ran again and meanwhile nazomi takes Kota on the second floor to see what’s wrong there Kota opens the door but Sly someone grabbed his hand and that someone was kuk makiko’s husband meanwhile Sakira gets out of breath after running for so long and to protect her Satoshi ended up pushing p in her away and made the evil teenage boy follow him instead Satoshi led the evil away from zakura but after a while he cross paths with another evil girl he ran to the right but another one was there the evil kids cornered him from every side and in the end something tall something demonic came near him it was scary enough that satosi was speechless on the other hand Sakura was near the beach when kuki and others came there and kuki asked Sakura what she have done it was then that award attends satoshi’s scream and when they found him he was unconscious Sakira started crying and kuk told Kota to go back to rzad and check on makiko he then takes nazomi Sakura and unconscious satosi to his car and drives him somewhere on their way kir reveals what’s happening actually you see there’s an heral Legend on this island According to which if children goes missing by the ocean they can return home there’s a certain ritual for it that involves closing a room with incantations and sending forth to that particular room every night kuk revealed that 4 years ago his son and let’s just call him Alex have G missing by the ocean after that kuk and makiko did that ritual and since that day makiko was sending food upstairs every night but after a while kuki noticed that makiko was acting different as if she has gotten possessed after a while kuki discovered that they have called an evil entity into their house and that entity will not harm him if they continue to feed it every night so that’s what they did but when Sakura and Satoshi went upstairs they got themselves involved in that curse it was then that Sakura saw multiple kids by the shore watching her and she was then scared and worried about Satoshi kuk ended up taking the three to a shaman and when he checked Satoshi he revealed that the entity has stolen his soul and soon his body will deteriorate hearing that Sakura be for hell and when Shaman sees her he realizes that shu is in danger and if he didn’t do anything then the entity will come to take her soul as well shaan told Sakura that she had to spend the night in his Temple so next day they can exhaust Riz her safely Kota also came there and then everyone does what Shaman told him to do Kota in kuk take satoshi’s body to a safe place and Shaman user Sakura towards his Temple which was made under an Island’s Rock Shaman told Sakura that the entity will not enter the temple unless she opens the door for it so no matter what happens what the entity does at night Sakura mustn’t open the door Shaman did some things in the temple and and Adit up locking Sakura inside now at night Sakura was sitting inside the temple and Kota nazomi and Shaman were sitting on the stairs outside after a while Sakura attends some demonic voice she sees the long shadow of that entity outside the doors and then the entity decided to walk like a spider on the doors outside making an eerie sound which might be the most creepy element of this movie in the end the entity knocked on the door and Sakura was hella scared the entity talks to Sakura in the voice of nasomi and told her to open the door cuz everything finds now and Satoshi has woken up the entity then talks in the voice of Satoshi and he too made Sakura believes that is sp to open the door and obviously it’s a horror movie so Sakura ended up opening the door only to see and 8 ft tall woman standing right in front of her The Entity ended up stepping inside the temple and she was wearing a red cap her fingers were slender and extremely long and creepy and Sakura couldn’t move in fear the entity used her powers and sucked the soul of Sakura out her body and Sakura fell unconscious after a while Naomi kot shaan came there and found Sakura devoided of her soul sh reveal that Sakura’s Soul has been taken away and after that he takes the two at his house and reveals that Sakura and satoshi’s soul were stolen by not kids but something more evil and then he pulls out a book now there’s a story in that book and Shaman had no clue that the story is true until now it was about an entity named Hashi Shak Usama an entity who steals people’s soul and Target mostly teenagers she can change her voice and L her victims and some people have confused this entity for a God who can bring back lost children but the entity uses this misconception to Target more victims she’s 8 ft tall and wears a red hat and actually the kids sakur Satoshi was seeing were trying to ven about the entity meaning the kids were no harm to him and according to Shaman they only have one day to bring back Sakura and satoshi’s soul or else their bodies will deteriorate Shaman knew a ritual that can help in the situation but during their ritual there’s going to be a spirit swap the plan was to send Shaman and nazomi soul inside Sakura and satoshi’s body and then they had to take those course bodies near the ocean at the shore Shaman who will be then in Satan’s body will do a ritual and call upon the gods of a holy Island nearby and the gods can destroy hashak kusama and lift the curse from sakur and satoshi’s body after that shabam would do the ritual again and call the Lost Spirits back inside the C bodies Kota didn’t like the plan but nazumi was ready to help her friends so they all ended up doing the ritual the bodies of Sakura and satoshis were placed near The Altar and the shaman Stars sh the spell but while they were doing the ritual something happened and with a blast the spirit swap was done successfully but it didn’t go as planned it was revealed the shaan sprad have gone inside Sakura’s body and nazovi spr had gone inside satoshi’s body the ritual was done and shaan and naam’s body were then unconscious their souls were in the cursed bodies so they would be able to see hasiak Usama and now their next step was to go at the shore of the ocean from here I will address Sakura as Shaman and Satoshi as naobi so don’t get confused Shaman then slipped into his clothes and made a hole in the door from where nazumi looked and saw Hashi Shak Usama outside waiting for them to come out of the temple K couldn’t see her cuz he was not cursed and Shaman told him that Hashi shaku Sama will now come to claim the new Souls inside Sakura and satoshi’s body and that was why they need to escape her outside the temple the only way to do that is not to look at [ __ ] Shak Usama directly and that was why Shaman and nazomi closed their eyes and Kota became the one to hold their hands and led him outside the temple towards the car as they stepped out of the temple Hashi Shak Usama started following them but Kota ended up safely guiding them inside the car once in the car Kota drives towards the ocean when we see Hashi Shak Usama just outside the window on their way nazomi ended up opening her eyes cuz she become a man for the first time and she starts to check herself out in the mirror solely he sees hashish Shak Usama running behind the car however this might be the funniest horror scene cuz the way Hashi Shak Usama ran was just hilarious she then attached herself with the car and scared thei closed her eyes Kota pulled the liver and speed up the car but the entity ran as fast as she could in the end Kota left the entity behind but his back cramped and the car got into an accident Shaman and na me step out of the car and they needed to find the ocean as soon as possible but the entity caught up to him and Hashi shaku attacked on Shaman in the end Shaman pulled out a Talis Mo and pasted it on Hashi shaku sawa’s face it resulted with her face getting burned and she also fell off a cliff it couldn’t kill her but her face splits into two sides and she became much more creepy hashish Shak Kama was then Furious so she ran to attack him but Shaman and naabi ran towards the ocean they ran and ran and R and even used incantations to find the right path but in the end haish Shak Usama came and blocked their way the entity walks towards the two but luckily they were at the shore so they jumped off the railing and towards the ocean [ __ ] Shak Usama followed the two but Shaman pulled out a hidden staff and someone the holy powers of the island nearby The Entity attacked on him but just a second before that the shelman would use the holy powers and throw a beam at the entity which resulted in her blasting in the air [ __ ] shakas was then gone and Shaman and noomi instantly returns to the temple where Shaman did their ritual again and caused the Lost Spirit of Sakura and Satoshi back into their body and this is how he SA of The Day The Scene goes on the next day as sadosi and Sakura were happy to be back in a human body the two went to eat something and they ended up eating Sashimi together and naobi saw all that she frown cuz she knows that SOS she didn’t like Sashimi at all meanwhile makiko and kuk goes and apologize for their mistakes to Shaman and Shaman told him not to worry cuz the entity is gone and everything will be fine now however when the couple left Shaman pulls out a picture and when we see it we know something is still wrong actually you see shamad had a daughter Alice as she was friends with Alex both Alex and Alice disappeared together 4 years ago in the photo they were eating Sashimi match transition to Satoshi and Sakura who were now eating Sashimi in the same way so he goes without saying the shaman ended up calling his daughter and Alex into the bodies of Satoshi and Sakura now nazami says this in some way and meanwhile on the second floor of the resort we see the actual spirits of Sakura and Satoshi trapped in the N Land calling for help and this is where the movie ends so this was the recap video of the movie nightmare
