Synopsis
“Meet The Spartans” is an 85-minute comedy film distributed by 20th Century Fox in the United States. It’s a parody of the film “300.”
The movie tells the story of King Leonidas of Sparta leading 300 Spartan warriors to defend the Thermopylae pass in central Greece against the army of the Persian King Xerxes. In 480 BC, King Xerxes marched with 500,000 soldiers towards Greece. After months of battle, Greece was already half-conquered. The brave and skilled King Leonidas was chosen by the city-states to command the defense. Against all odds, he led his 300 Spartan warriors to hold the Thermopylae pass.
As Xerxes’ army approached the pass, the battlefield was already tense. Suddenly, music filled the air, and to a strong HipHop beat, the 300 warriors engaged in a fierce dance-off with the enemy. They executed moves like spins, robots, and headstands with precision, leaving Xerxes furious. He summoned the giant penguin creature, Bobo, known as the “Happy Feet,” to launch a fierce attack. The fast-paced tapping proved difficult for the 300 warriors to defend against.
