Hello guys, I’m here at Tsukishima station When you are Japanese, and you hear Tsukishima, then you can think of one food (Osaka = Okonomiyaki / Tokyo = Monjayaki!) Yeah~! It’s Monjayaki Today, I plan to stroll down Monjayaki Street and try out some popular Monjayaki restaurants.

If you come out of Tsukishima Station’s Exit 7, You’ll find a well-organized street like this. Nishinaka Dori! (A famous Japanese tourist attraction known as ‘Monja Street’) This is the Monjayaki street~ It feels a bit nostalgic as well. You can tell the atmosphere is nice right?

(There are about 80 Monjayaki restaurants on this Monjayaki street) Among the many Monjayaki restaurants, the place I’m planning to visit today is… “Monja Moheji”~! While there are various options like Monjayaki, Okonomiyaki, and Yakisoba, the food I ordered is Monjayaki with pollack roe, rice cakes, and added cheese topping!

It’s written here about the origin of Monjayaki like this. It is said that the origin of Monjayaki comes from the practice of writing characters with dough in the past like this.

*Origin of Monjayaki It originated from a game in the Edo era the practice of writing characters with dough, the Japanese word for characters, “moji,” underwent a transformation and became the name. Guys! Do you know the name of this spoon when you eat Monjayaki? It’s called ‘Hagasi’ ~

(Every area has a different name for cote! From my home, we call it Hena) And this big spoon! We call it cote. Cote is usually used when you mix it You use the Hagasi when you eat~ I can see ingredients I ordered for my Monjayaki I ordered

(Ingredients packed full) The ingredients come out like this, typically the staff will prepare them for you. For those who are not familiar with this dish and are trying it for the first time, it would be convenient if it is prepared for them like this, right?

There are many cabbages for making Monjayaki Chop the cabbage finely like this on the griddle and mix it well. Create a circle in the middle and mix the batter and other ingredients within that space! When you mix it at the end! Tada!

The visual looks like “This is all done? but yes that’s right. This is done! Before it starts to Hagasi, gently press it on the griddle like this; it will taste even better! The staff mentioned that it contains whipped cream,

And I think because of that, it tastes smoother and richer than what I usually eat. There’s Aonori and pepper, so you can sprinkle them like this and eat. You can add them according to your taste! Monjayaki has a porridge-like appearance,

and it tastes delicious when it’s slightly more cooked, especially this part! The second one I ordered was “Squid Ink Monjayaki.” This time, I’m planning to try making it myself. I’ve shown it once before, but doing it again after a long time makes me nervous again. Tada~ Don’t you think I’m pretty good? It’s more fun to do it myself When you visit here, please try! haha Since Tsukishima is close to the seafood market, they use fresh and high-quality seafood ingredients for Monjayaki. Compared to the first time I tried Pollack Roe Monjayaki,

“Squid Monjayaki” seems to have flavors that adults’ taste would enjoy. With the rich aroma of the ink and the addition of whipped cream, it had a smooth and flavorful taste. If you are looking for unique Monjayaki, then I recommend here I finished all food, I’m very full

I had really good meal today again~ How about trying Monjayaki in Tsukishima when you visit Tokyo for some fun? That’s it for today’s video! Wait a moment! There’s a cookie video! (Explaining the meaning of the Monjayaki shop name “Moheji.”) In Japan, it is said that if you draw these characters well、

‘へのへのもへじ’ (Heno Heno Moheji)、 it will resemble a human face. They say that if you arrange it like ‘へのへのもへじ’ (Heno Heno Moheji), it looks like a human face.

Monjayaki from hell.. 🖤
It’s a menu that I’m surprised by the visual
Unlike how it looked, it tasted good 😋
