Am I the only one who can’t tell the difference between the samples at Nishiki Market shops and the quality is so high? (lol). Let’s go for [Tempura] from the first one! I was a little confused, but let’s go before it gets crowded! [Dashimaki egg tempura].

It is novel that the [Dashimaki] is made into tempura! Is this normal in Kyoto? The salt sprinkled on the surface is effective. The eggs are fluffy and have a gentle taste. It’s not greasy at all, and I have a feeling it’s going to be dangerous (lol).

There are a variety of rice bowl dishes, so it is recommended for those who want to eat a lot. Oops. I was surprised to almost drop it! Let’s calm down (lol). After 11 o’clock, the shops started to open and the number of tourists started to increase.

Next is Notoyo, a restaurant specializing in rare river fish. [Salt-grilled sweetfish with roe] has a big, plump belly. Looks delicious! What is that? For some reason it doesn’t come up? Just when I thought about it, it stung. Phew, even though they served it piping hot, it ended up being slow (lol).

It is said to be domestically farmed sweetfish. It’s so delicious! That’s right, next time I’ll try this [sparrow]! I think it would be fine if it was made domestically (lol). I’ve been to most of the shops around here.

Takoyaki shops are always very popular. Next is Mikikeiran, a restaurant specializing in rolled eggs. I wanted to try this once. [Fukusa-yaki].

The top contains mitsuba leaves, and the inside contains onions, carrots, corn, etc. It’s full of vegetables, has a healthy flavor, and is delicious. Next is SNOOPY chaya, which is popular among people of all ages and genders. If it’s “winter only”, then this is a sweet that you can’t skip (lol). [Snoopy-yaki Matcha An].

Snoopy has a slightly greenish complexion, but he has a cute smile. The sweet matcha bean paste and buttery dough were delicious. I wish pickle shops had products that you could eat on the spot. I always think that. It’s empty, so I’ll go in for a bit.
