It was quite the nerve-wracking moment. Tatsuki Fujimoto-san was sitting right in front of me when I went to see the preview screening. So every time I finish creating a theme song, I can’t help but wonder if I did it justice. And when the author of the source material is watching right in front of you, well, that makes it all the more nerve-wracking. After watching the film, he said he was delighted with it. A funny thing he mentioned, “When the song came on, I got so excited that I almost turned around to shake your hand.” That was such a kind thing for him to say. Needless to say, I was highly relieved to hear that.
