【正直レビュー】最新自動クラッチの真実を語る🔥【CB650R E-Clutch】

Tired of working the clutch all the time? Hey, it’s Yuki Yomichi. Today I’m at Honda Dream Kashiwa. Let me show you this: the CB650R E-Clutch, a naked sport bike with Honda’s new E-Clutch tech. You can start and stop without the clutch yet it still has a lever, so you can use it manually if you want. Super convenient, but still fun and sporty when you want it. I used to ride a CBR650F. Wish I could tell my younger self on Tokyo highways in the summer, feathering that clutch… So today, I’m showing off the CB650R with Honda’s latest E-Clutch tech stick around till the end! Quick trivia do you know what “CB” stands for? Found this on Honda’s website: C is for “motorCycle,” B is for “Clubman Racer.” Wait, “B” for Clubman Racer? That doesn’t start with B! Turns out “B” is just Honda’s internal code for their sport models. So that’s the story behind “CB.” Makes sense now. Now, let’s talk colors. The CB650R E-Clutch comes in two colors: Pearl Deep Mud Gray and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic. Today’s bike is Pearl Deep Mud Gray. Sleek, urban, and stylish. Next, the engine. The CB650R E-Clutch has a liquid-cooled, 4-stroke DOHC inline-4 engine.648cc, 95PS, 63Nm of torque. It runs on regular gas, with a 15L tank. Fuel economy is around 21.3 km/L in WLTC mode. Being a 4-cylinder, mileage drops if you rev it, but keeping it low should get you around 20 km/L in the city. The auto clutch also helps reduce unnecessary revs and slip, improving efficiency. So it’s not just easier to ride Honda tech makes it fuel-friendly too. Now, let’s check out the engine sound. By the way, that sound was very intentional Honda designed it that way. Look at this angle here. This exhaust angle really affects how the sound hits the rider. It’s angled more upward now, so the exhaust note reaches you better while riding. Yamaha, on the other hand, points it downward to reflect sound off the ground. Each brand adds its own personality through sound design. Pretty cool, right? Noticing these little things really changes how you enjoy the sound. Honda goes up, Yamaha down… I’d go sideways. Sideways so pedestrians and nearby riders get to hear the cool sound too. Sharing it for free! That’s what I’d do. Honda how about adding Yuki Yomichi to the dev team? Next, let’s check the seat height. It looks pretty tall especially with me on it so you might think it’s hard to flat-foot. Let’s try lifting it. Ready? Here we go! Oh! That was easy and I can touch the ground even in loafers. Feels like sneakers would be totally fine too. Seat height is 810mm. I’m 155cm tall, and I can support it with both feet just fine. Not bad at all. Honestly, I was nervous but it’s better than expected. One foot like this… both feet like this… on the pegs like this. Yeah, footing’s way better than I thought. If Honda offered a low seat option, that’d be even better. So… Honda? We’d love a genuine low seat! I really want one… Just a little lower would make city rides even smoother. Please, Honda… I’m begging you… Super desperate. It weighs 207kg, but with a higher riding position, it feels great for long touring. And honestly, 207kg doesn’t feel that heavy at all. Now, let’s take a look at the design. A stylish mix of retro café racer and aggressive streetfighter. This isn’t just any naked it’s Honda’s Neo Sports Café style. Chunky tank, sharp tail it’s not flashy, but it has a sleek, sexy vibe. Kinda like… Yuki Yomichi, right? Now, let’s check out some key features of the CB650R E-Clutch. First, this LED headlight. The round shape and the position light around it really stand out. It’s got a neo-classic look but with full LED visibility great for night rides. The unique design is also a huge plus. It’s got a 5-inch full-color TFT display. Click! Looks awesome. Super easy to read too. And it connects to your smartphone so messages and music info show up right on screen. Easy to read, tons of info, and smart features all in one. You can switch between black and white backgrounds great for night riding too. This system is called Honda RoadSync. It connects to your phone to show music, notifications, and even voice-guided navigation and it shows weather info for your destination too. Here’s how it looks. With the app, you get nav, calls, messages, and music all shown on your bike’s screen. See? It says “Apple” here. This is how it displays your info on screen. If you use intercoms like B+COM or Sena, the voice nav plays right in your ears perfect for touring. I’ve never owned a bike this high-tech. Even unfamiliar roads feel easy with this kind of setup. Oh! The navigation just popped up. You can listen to music and see the weather here too. I’m vibing to the music. *Not a weirdo. I’ve got my B+COM on music and nav voice come through clearly, and everything I used to check on my phone shows up on the meter. It’s smooth and way safer. No need to look down quick controls and info are right here. Super safe and smart system. Now for the star feature of the CB650R: the E-Clutch. Basically, you can start, stop, and shift without touching the clutch lever. But it’s not an automatic you still shift manually. It just helps with the clutch part. The lever is still there, so you can use it like normal anytime. Best of both worlds! In stop-and-go traffic, you don’t have to keep working your left hand. So relaxing. You know… beginner riders often stall on hills. That’s ranked #5 in newbie drop incidents. This system prevents stalling on hills makes it super beginner-friendly. Oh… that ranking? Totally from Yomichi research. If you’re the “real bikers use the clutch!” type don’t worry. Use it if you want, or don’t. Your choice. You’re not forced either way ride easy or keep the full manual feel. It’s not “no clutch allowed” it’s “no clutch *required*.” That’s the charm… or the chicken gizzard. ??? All set! Be careful out there! Whoa looks so cool! Yeah, it feels like a normal bike right now. I’m shifting manually now, but the staff at Honda Kashiwa suggested trying the E-Clutch on the way back. So I’ll test both ways manual going out, E-Clutch on the way back. It’s super smooth and comfy. I do have a big bike license, but liter-class bikes can be exhausting. This middleweight class is perfect for those who want something easier but still want to ride a big bike. Even with a full-face helmet, I can still clearly hear the engine sound. Yeah new tech really makes a difference. Man, this feels so good. A while back, I was in a Honda web CM where they told me, “Yomichi-san, talk about your bike life your first bike, current one, everything.” To be honest, my first bike wasn’t a Honda it was a KTM. I asked Honda PR if that was okay to mention, and they said, “Absolutely. Of course, we want more Honda riders, but our real goal is to grow the rider community in Japan.” They said, “Try different bikes, explore, and eventually you’ll find Honda. So talk about other brands too it’s all good.” I thought wow, what a passionate company. I once shared that story on Twitter (X), and it got tons of likes. It’s a memory I’ll never forget, and it really showed me how much people love Honda. What a great story. Alright, that was the ride out totally normal so far. But let’s see how it feels switching to E-Clutch. Will it be smooth or weird? Let’s find out on the way back. Now we’re in AT mode let’s shift into first without fear. Here we go… whoa, kinda scary. I *know* it won’t stall… but it’s still scary! Whoa! Just twisting the throttle gets it moving! Oh, this is nice. Downshifting in a turn can lead to tipping according to Yomichi research. Yeah, this is good. And shifting too? Whoa. Quickshifter is godly. I’ve tried many bikes with quickshifters, but the CB650R shifts smoother than any of them. Usually, I still feel like pulling the clutch just in case. Like, “Better hold the lever just to be safe.” But this shifts so cleanly I don’t feel like I’m damaging the gearbox. It feels gentle on the bike. I *know* it’s safe but it’s still nice to feel that way. Quickshifter wow, it’s fun. If you’re unsure about quickshifters, this one feels super trustworthy. Honestly, I was one of those people kinda analog, still not 100% sold. And now it’s in first, but I can stop without the clutch just use the brake. Still in first, don’t need the lever. To go, just twist and go. Kashiwa staff told me, “It might feel scary at first, but once you ride, you’ll get it.” They were right. I was scared before riding but once I started, it was fine. You can *see* on the display whether you’re in AT mode or not. That visual feedback is super reassuring. It really balances AT comfort with sporty riding fun. With big bikes, stalling is a real concern. Stalling → tipping over that risk is much lower with this system. If you’re small-framed or petite but still want to try a powerful big bike, this is perfect. People think I can handle any new tech bike since I’ve tested so many for magazines and news sites. Like, “Yomichi can ride anything, right?” But I’m actually kind of old-school. I was late to using quickshifters and cruise control too, honestly. I’d act like, “Quickshifter this, cruise control that ruins the fun of riding!” But deep down I was “Well… I *could* use it if I *wanted* to… I’m not scared or anything, okay?”like, That was me back then. Now? Totally used to it. Alright, we’re almost back. That was seriously fun. You guys should definitely go try it too. Welcome back. You were out for a while! I was having too much fun. We got worried it’s the most fun you’ve ever had, huh? Yeah, it was a whole new feeling. I’ve ridden tons of bikes, but this felt so fresh I didn’t want to stop. It looked pretty big with your frame how was it? Right? It does look big, huh? That size probably added to the cool factor when taking off. But once you start riding, it fits your body perfectly. Really? Yeah, since there’s less to operate than a normal bike, the size and weight don’t really matter. That’s so cool someone petite riding a big bike like that! Big bikes are just romantic, you know? And being able to handle one like a bicycle? That’s what made this bike amazing. Loved it. Nice work today. So today we took a look at the Honda CB650R E-Clutch. It’s a new kind of bike no clutch hassle, but still super sporty. Great for both beginners and experienced riders alike. Big thanks to Honda Dream Kashiwa for having me. If you’re curious about E-Clutch but nervous to try it alone, head over to Kashiwa they’re holding E-Clutch test ride events where staff will guide you. This event runs May 17 to June 1, but they host them regularly so be sure to check it out. Long tours? The CB650R E-Clutch is the way to go. Alright, go to bed already! This was Yuki Yomichi. See ya!
