Tokyo underground | Host clubs, danseuses et nuits blanches
Tokyo, he is. 10 p.m. On the Rainbow Bridge, the famous bridge that crosses the bay of the capital, Three Lamborghinis drive in close formation. Well above the speed limit. Yes, It’s dangerous. At the head of the trio, Shinichi Morochi, one of the figures of Tokyo Nights. For now, It’s good. Concentrate, phone in hand, He gives orders to other drivers, while monitoring the gaps between cars. When I drive like this, I have confidence in myself. And I like that feeling. Morohoshi is a sulphurous character. He admits to having had a turbulent youth and problems with the law. On which he prefers to remain discreet. But from this past, He has retained his taste for thrills. At the time, I was part of a biker gang. NOW, I feel like a Star Wars hero. Today, He is famous worldwide for his customized Lamborghinis, unique in the world. Racing cars. Illuminated like space shuttles that, launched at full speed among the buildings, suddenly give Tokyo the appearance of a huge video game. After two hours of racing, the cars separate. Morochi returns to his garage, a tiny place where he leers at his racing cars. he himself owns this Lamborghini, like this one. It’s a Lamborghini Aventador, Roadster. How much is she worth? I think I bought it. 400,000 euros. But there are very few copies. And today, It is a collector’s item worth 600,000 euros. Mooroshi customizes between 50 and 100 vehicles each year, only Lamborghinis, that it be given the most spectacular makeover possible. Like this other 2015 Aventador, completely covered with Christos Swarovski. It’s true, I like everything he sees. Like his Rolex, she too is quite bling-bling. A watch that he wanted to reflect his image. Did you customize it? Yes, It’s true, I customized it a little. But she was already pretty good. Flashy before. And how much is it worth? It was a little expensive. Around 150,000 euros. Eccentric and provocative, in contrast to traditional Japanese society, Mo Orochi has become in a few years an icon of Tokyo nights. It is the largest megalopolis in the world, Tokyo and its 40 million inhabitants. Hyperactive and frenetic during the day, the city transforms at night and offers a completely different face of Japanese society where its traditions are revealed, but also its flaws and its faults. In Kabukicho, Tokyo’s red-light district, the new trendy business, These are the host clubs, The Gigolos, Japanese version. Japanese women can spend a fortune to be treated like princesses for an evening. The more money they spend, the happier I am. I say thank you. THANKS. They are teenagers and live on the street, in the heart of the capital. They are called the Toyoko Kids. Among them, Many young girls who have run away from family violence find themselves left to fend for themselves. When you have no money and you are a minor, we have no other choice but to prostitute ourselves. Asuka is a mother. She runs a hostess bar in Ginza, the most chic district of Tokyo. Reserved only for wealthy Japanese businessmen. She agreed to open her doors to us. A secret and closed universe, to very strict rules. If a customer touches a hostess, he will be banned from all clubs. Adrien is French. He has lived in Tokyo for 20 years. He created one of the most unusual bars in the capital. A place where Japanese people can let loose in complete freedom. After their day’s work, without any taboos. You should know that I, I confess, From the moment you drank alcohol, You no longer need to apologize for what you do. An exceptional dive into a surprising and little-known mytho-kyoid, with its unusual characters, with sometimes unreal looks, that look like they came straight out of a manga. In the heart of Tokyo, There is a surprising area that stays lit up all night. A place that never sleeps. Kabukicho, the red-light district of the Japanese capital. Famous for its nightclubs, his karaoke, its hostess bars and its brothels. But today, photos of naked women. It has gradually disappeared to make way for huge giant screens displaying the faces of young men with the appearance of dandies. Androgynous look, made up and posing like pop stars, we call them the Hosts, the Japanese version of gigolos. A sulphurous universe. Is closed. But a man agreed to open the doors for us. His name is Senarane. He runs one of the most prestigious host clubs in the city. This kind of club has existed for over 20 years. But today, The phenomenon is exploding in all the country’s major cities, and more particularly in Tokyo. Just in Kabukicho, there are no fewer than 300 clubs. The number keeps increasing. There have never been so many. And do you think this phenomenon will last much longer? I hope it lasts indefinitely. But there, we really reach a peak. His club is called Platina. It is located on the third floor of this building. It is one of the largest in Kabukicho. Good morning, How are you It looks like a nightclub with sofas and alcoves. Women come here to spend the evening with a host they choose based on their looks and personality. They are often young, like Lily. She is a nursery teacher. She is 23 years old. She is single and chose Setsuna. The bad boy of the club. What do you think of his way of dressing? I like his style. What do you prefer? He’s a handsome guy. So he can really dress however he wants. And his tattoos I like that. It’s part of his style. She pays for it 120 euros per hour, plus the drinks on which the young man receives a commission. The young woman fell under the spell of the tattooed dandy. So she saved up and has been coming to see him regularly for a month. A priori, She put some money aside. This month, She has already spent 4000 euros. But when you’re all out and spending too much money, is Setsuna warning you The more money she spends, the happier I am. I say thank you. THANKS. What makes these dandies so attractive in the eyes of young women, it’s that they are made up, that they wear jewelry and are exuberant. The exact opposite of the traditional figure of the Japanese man, considered macho. Conventional and boring. Come on, here we go The Star is coming! Katie, He is the star of platinum. The most requested host. Tonight’s client traveled over 1,000 kilometers for the privilege of spending a few hours with him. What do you like about him? How to say GOOD. There are many reasons. He is handsome and he is very knowledgeable. It makes me happy. Hey, Cute You’ve never been so nice to me! Katie’s Secret Complimenting girls all night long. And it works. To please him, The young woman will order a bottle of champagne. All the club hosts then gather around the table and celebrate the client. It’s the ritual that accompanies every bottle order. Thank you Katie for giving me such wonderful moments. Thank you to our princess This is his first order of champagne, It’s a pleasure! She’s prettier now than when she arrived. And you know why? No, Why Because she spent money on you. Oh yes ! That’s why I find her more beautiful now! Katie may seem cynical, but he imposed a rule on himself, never fall in love with a girl, however attractive it may be. Those who succeed are those who know how to control their feelings. So it’s sometimes difficult, but otherwise, we get lost. A few minutes later, Another customer orders a bottle of champagne for Katie. It’s the jackpot. Like all bones, he receives a 50% commission on all consumption. How much did it cost? champagne bottles Ah, the price There is one at 1200 euros, and the other at 1800. 3000 euros in total, or a commission of 1500 euros for Katie. And this, for just a few hours of conversation. Because at no time, It’s not about sex. This may seem surprising, But the Hosts don’t sleep with their clients. It is even the secret of success, according to Senna, the club boss. The most successful hostesses in Kabukicho are those who do not have sexual relations with young women. They are the ones with the most clients. How to explain to you Sex would break everything. They are more successful because they are unattainable. Today, Senna savors his success. He employs 35 full-time hosts and claims to have a turnover of one million euros each month. But this host club trend can also sometimes turn out to be a real trap for young women who are a little fragile. Saki Mikami is a lawyer in Tokyo. For several months now, in his office, She is receiving more and more women who find themselves in debt after having frequented the host environment. Debts which sometimes reach the amount 60,000 euros. She works with a social worker, Kumiko Hashimoto, specialized in the world of nightlife. Both believe that the traditional structure of Japanese society explains this phenomenon. Host clubs, It’s the equivalent of hostess bars. Here, There have always been many places of prostitution and hostess bars. It is a tradition in Japanese society. It is the woman who takes care of the man and is at his service. So when young girls arrive at Host clubs, and they are treated like princesses. They are delighted. In addition, when these girls, especially the youngest, spend money on a host, They feel like they are caring for someone. That’s why when their host tells them “I need you, I need your support,” spend more money on me, They find it hard to refuse. I think it gives them a role. Like that, they feel useful to someone. This feeling of great loneliness, which many young people suffer from today, also translates into the craze for “idols”, the “idols”, a typically Japanese phenomenon. Direction Roppongi, a district renowned for its nightlife and numerous clubs, like the Octagon. Tokoto is 49 years old. This Franco-Japanese… Completely unknown in France, has long been one of the most popular DJs on Tokyo’s trendy nights. The DJ is playing his latest single. Apparently, They want to please me. So, like this, because I’m here to talk to you, I have to tell you. Tokoto has spent his entire career in Japan, more than 20 years behind the decks. He has performed at the country’s biggest festivals. But today, he decided to retrain. He became the manager of a very popular dance group in Japan. Their names, Cyber Japan. So these are our dancers for tonight at the Octagon Tokyo. So, there, They’re getting ready and we’re going to have to get out very quickly. But just, That’s Juno. This is our Jennifer Lopez. Let’s go! This evening, It was for her that the public came. A mainly male audience. Cyber Japan fans, who follow all their actions, and for which, throughout the evening, Cyber Japan will perform a series of choreographies. You saw correctly, There are people who are in front of the girls, depriving them. Or depriving them. They are wedged, traces, They think of Richard. And that’s it. It’s a bit like the night world, the island that is with. The world is always in the source. Cyber Japan are not just dancers. She also sings. Light and tangy pop, a little kitsch perhaps, but which is very popular with the Japanese. In Japan, idols, It’s a real business, because their fans are willing to buy anything about them. And that, This is Tokoto’s work. On the shores of the Pacific Ocean, an hour’s drive from Tokyo, The manager of Cyber Japan takes great care of his dancers. He gathered the three stars of his group for a marathon day. Today, we shoot our calendars. SO, These are not calendars with all the girls, They are simply the most popular. SO, we shoot them one by one, In fact, since it’s their personal calendar. He and his team must not be idle. 12 photos in 12 different outfits. For each of the girls, sitoKoto chose Kazue and Kanae for its calendars. It’s not just because of their plastic. They have 3 million fans in L2. So many potential buyers. The calendars, it still represents about 10% of the annual figure to be made. It’s huge. It’s selling like hotcakes. And he’s also betting a lot on his new recruit, Emma. With a rather surprising profile. He is a former teacher, There, and she is 26 years old. And one day, She posted a video of herself getting her hair cut on TikTok. And there’s the hairdresser who asks him, “But what do you do for a living?” She replied, “I’m a teacher.” And it caused a huge buzz on TikTok, as all the Japanese started saying “I would have liked to have been his student, etc. ” And there you have it. 12 million views for a simple haircut. So, Tokoto. We hope for much more from these swimsuit photos. And to bait his fans, He constantly posts videos on social media. I dressed up as a cat. This pink fur costume is so cute. Very sexy pictures, which would be hard to imagine in France today. It’s typical of Japan. I’m a little embarrassed, But Japanese men love this childish image. And the girls don’t hesitate to go overboard. It’s me, Kazue. I am the rabbit. Yes, but me, I’m a little surprised. Do you make money from this? Yes. In Japan, for the fans, the idol, She is the girlfriend with whom they have a virtual romance. And to feed this illusion, Young women must have an impeccable image. And for that, follow very strict rules. For example, a very simple thing, They are forbidden from going to nightclubs and drinking alcohol. Because you never know who might take a picture. If one day, she’s a little drunk in the club, I don’t know, she kisses a boy or a girl, and it ends up on the internet right away. It’s simple, it’s a business, These are products. And it goes even further. But you also control their boyfriends? Yes. That’s to say ? SO, it’s a taboo question, but I will answer it. It is that in general, in our industry, People are told they are not allowed to have a boyfriend. At our place, at Cyber Japan, It’s not written that they don’t have the right to have a boyfriend, but they are simply told that it is not recommended. But you, If they want to have some, They have to present it to you. If they want to have one, they must obtain my agreement, Yes. This may seem shocking, but these are the same rules for all idol groups. The more fans they have, the more fans there are who tell them “You are beautiful, I think of you every day.” If they had a boyfriend behind, It would be like a betrayal. And the young women are all perfectly aware of this before joining the group. Fans first and foremost. If you want to become popular, to be a star, you have to be ready to make sacrifices. You have to focus on your goal. That’s the most important thing. Sacrificing one’s private life for ever more notoriety and for a salary for the most famous in cyber Japan of around 6,000 euros per month, That’s three times the average salary in the country. In Tokyo, There is a relatively unknown and almost taboo phenomenon. That of homeless teenagers. In a square in Kabukicho, amidst the neon lights and the crowd of passers-by, Every evening we see groups of young Japanese people hanging around in the same place. Many are minors and live on the streets. They are called the Toyoko Kids. Among them, many young girls who have run away from home to escape domestic violence. There are about fifty people living here in the neighborhood. Jun Tachibana is the president of Bond, an association that tries to help them. There, we’re going to do a patrol. We start by identifying girls who look distressed. Contact is not always easy. Teenage girls are often drunk or drugged. And above all, She runs away from adults. But tonight, one of the figures of the Toyoko Kids, is present. And she agreed to meet June. Good morning. Good morning. She is 16 years old and has the typical Toyoko Kids style. Backpack, decorated with small multi-colored stuffed animals, pink pants, candy and matching shoes. A childish look that clashes with his everyday life. On his left arm, dozens of scars. That, It’s self-mutilation. I do it with this. It’s what ? It’s a razor. It cuts pretty well. But why are you doing this? It’s in the moments when I want to die. I don’t always remember it, because I take drugs. I take so many drugs that I lose my memory. EMI has been on the streets for almost eight months. She comes back to her mother’s house intermittently, But it always goes wrong. So she leaves again. Most of these teenagers are fleeing the authorities, for fear that she would send them home. They try to survive on the streets, as they can. Among the Toyo-Kokids, Yes, There are some who sell their bodies. When you have no money and you are a minor, we have no other choice but to prostitute ourselves. With this money, We can go to the hotel to sleep or we can buy clothes. With the others, Toyoko Kids, Imeri puts himself in the spotlight on social media. We see them dancing, have fun. Their videos went viral, watched by thousands of teenagers across Japan. And for many young girls, victims of domestic violence, Joining the Toyoko Kids has become the only hope to escape their daily lives. Some are very young. And there are girls younger than you There is one who is 12 years old. And others have 13, 14 years old. This phenomenon worries Jun. She tries to intervene before the girls fall into prostitution. On the square, The members of the association have just alerted him. They spotted a teenage girl who looked very young. We just found a girl who worries me. We are trying to understand what is happening to him. She is prostrate and seems totally lost. I have no place to go. You left home Yes, That’s it. Since when Five days ago. Five days. For what reason? Because… Because there was this. What That, blows. And you were often subjected to violence? Yes. But who hits you? My father. And where does it hit you? He punches me in the stomach. And also on the face. She could no longer bear this violence. SO, She gathered her savings and traveled over 1,000 kilometers to come here. To join the Toyoko Kids. At 16 years old, she finds herself alone lost in the heart of the capital’s red-light district. But don’t you feel in danger here? If, It happens to me often. For example, There are men trying to take me to the hotel. They offer me money to do things with them. But have you ever had sex with men like that? No, Never. Ah, Never. Listen. If you want, We can prepare a room for you for tonight. What do you want? In exchange? Nothing at all. We have a place where the girls live together. Is it paid? No, it’s not paying. You will not call the police No. According to the association, in Japan, The voice of minors is still not taken into account enough and the police tend to send children home. Even in cases of domestic violence, This would be one of the reasons why these young teenage girls still prefer to stay in the streets of Kabukicho. Become a host, Today, it is the dream of many young Japanese people without a diploma, but who dream of making a fortune. Most of them come from provinces without money. Senna, the boss of the platinum, recruits regularly. He houses them in an apartment managed by the club. He kindly agreed to show us the behind the scenes of this universe. Are you getting ready? Good morning. Him, This is the last one to arrive. He is in training. There, This is the bathroom. A bathroom barely one square meter in size. Here, there is another host, he has a single room. The rooms are cramped, but that’s the norm in Tokyo. The largest of the rooms also serves as a kitchen and laundry room. Three hosts live here full time. The last one to arrive, This is Kiaru. Are you having breakfast? And more soy and rice. Oh, yes! How much did it cost you? 50 cents. Kiaru is careful with his every expense. He arrived only two months ago. It’s just starting and for now, in the club, No girl calls him. Hosts earn money based on the revenue their clients bring in. When they don’t have any clients yet, I pay them by the day. 50 euros for each day of presence at the club. Kiharu, is 24 years old. He came from a modest family and lived in the outer suburbs of Tokyo. Why did you decide to become a host? Money. You told your parents that you were going to become a host Yes, They told me, “You have the right to do it, but on condition that you leave the house.” For what He didn’t want to wait for me every night. Senna has a lot of affection for his young recruits. He too arrived from a small provincial village 20 years ago to become a host. They are all like me. They don’t have a good education, They didn’t go to university. The Host Club, This is their last chance to succeed. Being a host has long been a shameful profession in Japan. But today, for the new generation, no more hiding. In the heart of Tokyo, a dance studio. This is where Kety trains, the star host of Platina. He will soon release a single. He finalizes the choreography of the clip. I come here 4-5 times a week. It’s part of my job as a host. It’s a way to advertise myself. THANKS. All members of the group are hosts. Their goal Change their image by creating a boy band copied from the Korean pop groups that are all the rage among Japanese teenage girls. This is the first time the dance teacher has worked with hosts. I had prejudices. I thought they were lazy. But in fact, They are very focused. Have you ever been to a house club? No, I’ve never been there. Why does that make you laugh? I have a head for going there. As for the lyrics of the song, It’s a thinly veiled message to their future client. The song will be released on social media in a few weeks. And Katie hopes it will be a hit. He has been a host for 8 years now. Arriving from a small provincial town, penniless and without a diploma, he earns today about 50,000 euros per month. Today, he is one of the highest-paid hosts in Kabukicho. He lives in a residential area of Tokyo, in this luxury tower. But he doesn’t live in luxury. His apartment? A small, two-room apartment of about thirty square meters, cluttered like a teenager’s bedroom. He lives there alone. So, This is my room. And that, This is my dog. It’s called How Chicken nuggets, It’s the specialty of the village where I come from. Ah, And I also have a snake. A corn snake. This dog and this snake, are these two your friends? Yes, This is my family. Like many hosts, Katie has no love life. His money, he dedicates it to his wardrobe. And above all, he saves. At 30 years old, He knows that he will not be able to continue this work for much longer. Especially because of the amount of alcohol he has to consume six nights a week. I drink a lot. I wonder how many. The equivalent of 30 cans per night. Beer? Yes. It’s part of the job. That’s it. I sacrifice my health to make money. So yes, I drink a lot. Before going to the club, every evening, Katie has a ritual. A hot bath for over an hour. He takes the opportunity to send messages to all his clients. It’s a bit like having 15 love stories at the same time? That’s it. Well, no, I have between 40 and 50 girls messaging me every day. To find your way around, Katie created a sheet for each of them, with a wealth of details. His birthday, his work, his shoe size and even his underwear size. Of the 40 or 50, how many are in love with you They all love me. But I think that… There are some between 10 or 20 who are really crazy about me. But in Tokyo, The nightlife isn’t just about hosts and red-light districts. There is also a more secret world, hidden in the chic districts of the capital. A closed universe, to which only a few Westerners have access. This is the case of Clara, a French woman. She has lived in Tokyo for over 30 years and is well-versed in all the ins and outs of Japanese society. Today, She runs a private club for the country’s businesswomen. A place that she wanted to be friendly, with a beauty area and a tea room. So, here it is, We are here in the living room. On the theme of Marie-Antoinette, we have our members who are going to have tea, discuss everything. It’s this little French touch that Japanese women come here looking for. Because in Japan, Clara became a local celebrity. She is the embodiment of France. Like here, dressed as Marie Antoinette to promote a famous champagne brand. But she is also regularly invited. In television shows, or advertises beauty products. She even enjoys teleshopping shows. The reasons for its success Her beauty, Of course, but also and above all his perfect mastery of the Japanese language. This evening, She inaugurates the rooftop of her club. And she’s expecting a very special guest, that she comes to welcome, personally, when getting out of the car. Good morning, Welcome This woman in a traditional Kimono, for which Clara shows such great respect, is called Asuka Katsura. He is one of the most influential personalities. And the most respected of Tokyo Nights. She is what we call a mamassane. She runs a hostess club, but not just any one. His is one of the most luxurious in the capital. And his presence, This evening, at this party, is an honor for Clara. Everyone adores him, He is a very, very well-known personality. She owns one of the highest-grossing Ginza clubs in Tokyo. It’s very, very impressive. She knows politicians, business leaders, but the highest-ranking in Japan. It’s absolutely impressive. Woman of influence and businesswoman, The Mamasan is one of the key figures in traditional Japanese society. Exceptionally, she agreed to open the doors of her club to us, which no camera has ever entered before. And to show us her world, the one of a Ginza night queen, So it’s in Ginza, Tokyo’s most chic district, with its immense avenues and luxury boutiques, that Mamassan gave us an appointment. It’s 3 p.m. and each of his days begins with an unchanging ritual. Accompanied by her assistant, who carries her handbag and never leaves her side, Asuka goes to her regular hairdresser. Good morning A specialist in traditional Japanese hairstyles. This is called sukije. A kind of cushion that you put in your hair. That’s what gives the volume. A beautiful shape. This allows you to change the volume of the head. This hairstyle, This is the brand image of Mamassane. Ginza mamassanes must all wear kimono and have traditional hairstyles. Only young stewardesses wear today’s dresses. As I charge very high rates, I always have to be very well dressed. Besides, All the girls who work for me have to be perfect so they never disappoint the customers. The mamassane, she’s a bit like the heiress of the geisha, these courtesans inseparable from the history of Japan. Perfectly made-up and dressed women, past, masters in the art of entertaining wealthy clients, whether through dance, the music. Or the art of conversation. But contrary to popular belief in the West, Geishas did not sleep with their clients. They were seen as the guardians of Japanese traditions. This evening, Mamassane has a dinner date with one of her clients. She goes there in traditional dress, without any jewelry, but with a silk kimono that alone is worth more than 13,000 euros. The dinner will take place in this amazing castle, built in the heart of Tokyo. This is Joël Rebuchon’s 3-star restaurant. Thank you so much, Good evening. Built with materials sourced directly from France, The castle is inspired by the style and architecture of Versailles. But it takes more than that to impress Mamassane. She dines every evening in the most chic restaurants in the capital. Dinner takes place in a private lounge upstairs. We were allowed to film, provided that certain guests are blurred, including an influential figure in Japanese society. Here is the entrance. Salmon in frivolity. If I didn’t do this job, I couldn’t eat such dishes. On the menu, iconic recipes from the French chef, like this imperial caviar. Throughout the meal, The maître d’hôtel takes great care of this extraordinary customer. He comes almost every month. The previous year, he broke the record, he came 18 times. He loves caviar. And above all, Solone caviar, This is not Russian caviar. The customer who invites Mama San tonight, This is that man. He is Franco-Japanese. And represents a famous brand of champagne. He’s the one who’s going to pay the bill. More than 3000 euros for 6 people. For him, Dining alongside Mamassan is a privilege and an honor. But not only that. The founder, It’s good Mr. Ito. It is also a way to access the Mamassan network. A small, very closed circle, of the richest and most influential men. From the Tokyo business world. It’s good. Thank you so much. Thank you all. As soon as the meal was finished, Tradition dictates that all guests accompany Mamassam to her club. It is located on one of the most chic streets in Ginza, But we cannot film the facade of the building for reasons of discretion. The club is upstairs. He is not very tall. It looks like an apartment transformed into a private living room. Play happy music. Here, This is the space for the pianist and the violinist. We have live music every night. On the ceiling, we have a painting inspired by the Palace of Versailles. And there are characters I asked to be added, like The God of Alcohol and Marie Antoinette. Inside, Businessmen drink drinks with young women in elegant dresses. The hostesses, They were all selected one by one by the mamassade. Many have higher education and are able to hold any conversation. La Mamassane observes and ensures that each client “We need more hostesses, call some hostesses please” always be well surrounded. Hostesses work from 8 p.m. to midnight and are paid between 6,000 and 12,000 euros per month. They must distract and amuse customers, but at no time, There can be no physical contact. In the clubs of Ginza, You can only enter if you are recommended. If a customer misbehaves, It will be immediately banned everywhere in Ginza. So here, They are very careful. So no sex? No, unless it’s a love story and I agree. But here, there is no prostitution. Entrance To the health of my maçane Come on, bottoms up Everyone drinks vintage French champagne, sold here at astronomical prices. Bottles that are displayed in a refrigerated cellar at the entrance to the club. “This one is 3,000 euros, this one at 5,000. “Are these the most expensive of your bottles?” ” No, Here is the abbey reserve. This Pérignon gift is worth twice as much. And to sell these bottles, she does not hesitate to force her clients’ hand, like this man in a dark suit. “Are both bottles okay with you?” No, just one. Nice try. But Poli will not discourage Mamassane from this refusal. He is very rich. He has a lot of money. Oh, don’t say that, It’s embarrassing. Two bottles. Here, We don’t say no to mamassane. Both, It’s 3000 euros. And anyway, These businessmen know it. This is the price to pay to be in the good books of the Queen of the Nights of Ginza. But Tokyo, It is also the place for much more extreme evenings. This man with the appearance of a post-apocalyptic Messiah is one of the celebrities of Kabukicho. He is French, He moved to Japan 20 years ago, and he became the prince of the most decadent evenings in the capital. Adrien, that’s his name. Runs a unique bar in Tokyo, hidden in the basement of a building. This is where he organizes his totally crazy parties. A place where Japanese people know they can let loose in complete freedom, without fear of any judgment. An image of Japan that we rarely see. You will know that in Japan, from the moment you drank alcohol, you no longer need to study what you do. If you drank alcohol, you do it yourself. You do it yourself, you do 100% of yourself. We don’t build alcohol and you let yourself go, no, it’s not good. And he lets loose a lot in your bar He lets go. Tonight, It’s sadomasochistic evening, led by this young woman in a yellow hat. It’s an SM party, but more comical than real. SM. It’s the night where sadists and masochists have fun together, by dressing up and playing roles. And tonight… The theme, This is kindergarten. Evening, Baby Here, no sex, neither whip nor handcuffs, but men in diapers and sexy babysitters. A joyful and totally regressive atmosphere. It’s a childish side of Japan, that is to say, there is a child culture in Japan. Actually, You should know that in Japan, the main value, It’s the responsibility. So, it’s the opposite of childhood. So at night, it’s the opposite, It’s anti-responsibility. There is no word in French, anti-responsibility. There is a word in Japanese. It’s about not being responsible for anything and being stupid. A letting go. Hardly imaginable in France. It’s a place where we can meet up and let go. A place where I can express my fantasies. Does your family know you’re here? My mother discovered it by chance. But my wife, she doesn’t know. Among Adrien’s clients, many executives come to unwind and indulge in SM games, a little surprising. Why are you doing this? I like it when a girl hits my testicles. And what do you do for a living? I am a banker. Actually, the person, I can’t say who he is, That’s why he has a mask. He has a big responsibility, I confess. This is the secret of Adrien’s success. Offering often overworked and pressured executives and bankers a moment of freedom and relaxation. Total relaxation in the heart of the Japanese capital.

もろほしさん est une grande personne et une bonne personne.
