NMB48 Ota Yuuri 1st Photobook – A Photographer’s Critique | 太田夢莉 ファースト写真集 ノスタルチメンタル
I critique the 1st photobook ( ファースト写真集 ) from the member from the popular idol group NMB48 Ota Yuuri ( 太田夢莉 ) called ノスタルチメンタル. I review it from the point of view of a photographer and less as a fan, so it is more of a critique of the photos and the book as a whole. The photobook is a nice simple book that sets the standard for other photobooks of its kind. There are many great photos in this photo book as well as bad. I will go over things such as lighting, posing, locations, mood, as well as editing. The book it 1000 times better in person than it is in scans and online so I recommend picking it up if you are a fan.

Nice to see a new critique, especially since this is a book I hadn't picked up yet. Not sure if I will or not, as I am not too big a fan of hers, but she does look pretty nice from what I saw. Nice review but unfortunately it doesn't change my initial impression from the sample pictures I've seen in gravure mags and online. The book looks boring as hell, I'll be spending my money on Mirurun's upcoming book, that'll bring the goods.
