Hello everyone. This is C. I just returned from my training. It was truly a training experience. My mom and I talk about it as a training session. But it also deepened the bonds between my family. Thank you. So , I’m going to treat myself to a little indulgence. Here we go. I just got back from a trip to Bolivia, Peru, and the United States for just under two weeks. It was a long trip. It wasn’t long, it was a truly amazing experience. I was on the other side. Usually , upon landing at Narita Airport, I’d reaffirm my appreciation for Japan and be able to return immediately , but this time it was a little different, and I wondered what to do. Simply put, the power of South America was just too strong. That magnificent land is nothing to sniff at, and even though Japan is definitely more expensive financially, for some reason, the people there seemed more alive and in the present. Well, I’m a little surprised by the difference between us in developed countries, rushing through life, and the people of South America . What do I mean? But the food is delicious and life goes on, so I’ll go and eat. Anyway, today, as always, I’m going to my usual sushi- go-home-from-home-to-home thing, and I’m here for the first time at Tenkura. Nice to meet you. It’s like a high-end version of Kusu, so I’ve always wanted to come here, but looking at it, the concept doesn’t really match the channel. The interesting thing about this is the menu. It’s definitely like No. 9 Kusu, with prices ranging from ¥150 in the west to ¥690 in the east. Well, there are a ton of options, but the amount of alcohol is just amazing. Thank you. But, I’ll stick with the HB . The mugs seemed a little bigger than the regular Kusu, but was that just my imagination? Plus, maybe? Wait. Isn’t it just amazing? It looks delicious. The plates are lovely, too. And what I really liked was this dish: “Nu” (a thick bun). This is called Mutenkura Salad, and for ¥380, it’s loaded with so many vegetables. They’re amazing. You can’t get this for 380 yen at a regular izakaya . They’re amazing. It wouldn’t be surprising if it was a salad like the one Marunouchi-san has for lunch. Even just within the visible range , there’s tomatoes, eggplant, baby lettuce, and even young corn. It was a big hit. This one is so sticky. The eggs are beautiful . Yes. That’s what I want to say, but this angle makes me look like I’m a giant, like everyone is being devoured. So I tried it, and it was just too much. Ah, I wanted to add the dried fish right away, but I drank it first and then my right hand came out. And, of course, the ceramic plate is also good. Ah, no matter what, I feel that the toki tastes better than plastic, ah, but that doesn’t mean that the barbecue is like a hair plate, like it’s a yawn, or like I can feel the influence of the plate. Yeah. It’s delicious. There’s something like this. It was very good. Looking at the large portions, I brought along some high-end sushi, so I’ll be mercilessly munching away at them with my hands . Oh, the number one entry is the delightful salmon. Well, the level of delight is a matter of luck, but after I finished my HB in an instant, I realized that such great sushi deserves a lot of sake. Thank you. There was also a huge amount of sake. Glasses were available, of course, but this time I went for a kid’s sake. Glad I’m Japanese. So, this one arrived looking just like Kohaku. Oh , it’s organic, but what does organic mean? Does it mean it’s good for you? I don’t know. I had the sweet shrimp and the divine sweet shrimp, and I made sure to remove the tails. Oh, because everyone would say so. So, I ate it, and it was just too much sake. It was, like, a sweetness that rivaled the sake’s sweetness, or, yeah, it was an exquisite pairing, and it just looked so happy. Thank you. So, yes, next up is, er, Engawa. The Engao is topped with lemon, and yeah. A good Engao is quite oily, isn’t it? So, refreshing it with this lemon is really delicious. Yeah. Each of the toppings really elevates the basic flavor of regular Kuzusushi , and you can feel the premium differentiation, or rather, I know that if I get carried away with the atmosphere, the bill will soon become too much, so, er, I’d like to confirm for now . And indeed. Wow. Soon it’s this dish. Well, I wanted to fill my stomach a bit, so, er, this fried food and makke gunkan. But, er, fried food at conveyor belt sushi restaurants is delicious to begin with. But the food here is so good that I almost thought it was fried food at a Japanese restaurant, and er, but… I guess it’s also because it was a current season dish that it was delicious. Well, on the other hand, you can’t get this kind of salad-like experience anywhere but at a conveyor-belt sushi restaurant, right? They have that kind of sushi-like feel, but they also have authentic toppings. And they have sake, too. So, this mini sushi restaurant has been born. So, I’m back at HB. Thank you for your support. I gratefully accepted the tossed item, and then the next thing I was interested in arrived. This one looks like something from The Little Prince. Apparently, this one is a specialty. A single seared sushi roll. It was too long, so I only had a small portion, but after enjoying it as a fluffy snack , I decided to break it in half, since it was still so long. Here we go. It was already spilling out of my mouth. Yes. At that moment, I thought, Japan really is the best. Well, I guess I won 630 yen. Oh, maybe I’ve become an adult, and I’m gradually becoming able to expect better quality hand-rolled sushi. I mean, well, of course I’ve never thought that cheap is always cheap, but I remembered that you shouldn’t try too hard to get good things cheaply. Yeah. I think the most important thing is that the money I pay goes to the people who make good things . And finally, this. So, it can’t be helped that good things are expensive, and I wish good things were cheaper , but I’ve recently come to think that I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to good things that are also cheap . Thank you. So, I’ll have the soup here again and eat the puri again. It was really good. The satisfaction was so great that it felt more like I lived at Disney than usual. Yeah. Anyway , I get it. Let’s eat. Yeah, but it’s true. I can easily spend close to 5,000 yen on regular conveyor belt sushi , so if I can eat that quality for an extra 1,000 yen or so, I’m just grateful. Thank you. Yes. So, for some reason, Nagamekuro is the only place I have in Tokyo so far, but I feel like I want to go back again, or rather, I want to go right now. Yeah. Eating sushi alone is a little difficult, but that place is just right. So, I ‘ve been feeling a bit extravagant lately, so I’ll use this as motivation to do my best. Well then, goodnight. Although I’ve become a bit of a mess, I strongly feel that I want to become someone who has seen and felt all the good things about Japan and the world with my own eyes.     海外でのことを(実際ではなくても)見聞きしていると、日本に産まれたことの感謝がまず襲ってきます。
    今こうしてる間にも戦争がまだあるんだという現実…人は当たり前に平等ではないのだと…
    それは小さな日常から未来まで…
    そんなことを痛いほど感じます。
    豊かではない国の子供達ほど未来に希望を持てていて、まるで叶わないことなど無い様に瞳がキラキラしています
    日本の若者は病んでいる人が増えてますね…
    贅沢や様々な物に溢れているのに…
    本質が見えなくなってる恐怖みたいのを感じます
