Hi, it’s MAYUKA from NiziU The song I prepared this
time is BLACKPINK’s ‘STAY’ The very first song I ever sang at an audition that wasn’t for Nizi Project
was BLACKPINK’s ‘STAY’ Since it was the song I sang
at my very first audition, that became one of the reasons I chose it But my vocal teacher also told me that darker, calmer tones suit me better than high-note songs So we decided to go with this
one, and it’s a song I really love This song carries the feeling of wanting someone to stay by your side,
even when love feels uncertain It’s filled with delicate, emotional details I hope you enjoy my version of
‘STAY’ that I sang with all my heart I’m here to practice for
my birthday content today We finished our show in Oita yesterday and today is the day
we moved to Kumamoto Since I barely had time to practice, I wondered if we could rent a studio The staff helped me so much, and they rented out a small live
venue where shows are usually held Look Isn’t it amazing? It’s a place like this So right now, I’m here
by myself at this live venue I’m going to practice a bit here so I can show you all a good performance Fighting Personally, the instrumental rhythm felt kind of different, like it wasn’t the same rhythm
as the vocals, so matching my singing to the instrumental was a bit difficult for me Things like the timing
being off and all that… I wanted to practice a little more, but we have another show
tomorrow, so I’ll wrap it up here – Should we try it?
– Yes I think it’s better without
the bend in the beginning part Yeah, you do it really well
when you’re practicing Good, let’s do two more takes That was good too How about we go with that
as the last take? Yes, sounds good OK, let’s go with that The hardest part of recording was, like I said earlier, the pronunciation I’ve been listening to this song
since I was little And there were so many parts I memorized with kind of strange pronunciation So when I looked at the lyrics
and practiced again, I was like, ‘Oh, it’s completely different’ It’s never good when the wrong pronunciation
starts sticking to you, you know? So that part gave me a bit of trouble Okay, but with the pronunciation… ‘Dang’ and ‘jang’ need to be a bit longer Yes, like that And it’s not ‘ballaneun geo aniya’, it’s with one ‘l’ ‘Baraneun geo aniya’ No, no Not ‘bal’, it’s ‘bara’ Right I even asked my instructor
to write out the Korean for me, and recorded while getting advice like that That part was the hardest OK, let’s go up to ‘geujeo nae gyeotae’ Make sure the pronunciation doesn’t blur here Right, it’s that kind of vibe,
so once it’s cleaned up it’ll be good OK, let’s go with that ‘STAY’ is a song where you
want someone to stay by your side, so I sang it while imagining
someone being there with me And I realized it applies to everyone WithU, my family, my friends… So I recorded while thinking
of many different people How’s this? It’s good Alright, good Thank you Great work! MAYUKA prepared really well Today I’m here to film
my birthday content music video I’m shooting at a cafe today,
with this loose, relaxed, stylish outfit vibe I usually don’t wear long sleeves,
so this feels really new I’ll do my best (Checking the movement with the director) It’s a one-take They said I’ll be going around
to several people’s tables The part that stuck with me
most during today’s shoot was the one-take scene Because it was all shot in one take, we had to match all the timing perfectly The director matched the timing so well, and even though it was hard, it
was fun, so it stayed with me the most (A satisfying OK cut) They just asked me to act sad That’s hard It’s a bit difficult, but I’ll do my best Please cheer me on There’s a rap line that goes, ‘Rather
than a forced conversation with people, I prefer the silence with you’ And I relate to that so much For me, that ‘you’ is my members Instead of forcing myself
to talk to people outside, I like just being in the same
space with my members, even without saying anything I think a lot of people
might relate to that part too I really thought those
lyrics were so good Do you want me to sit
on the edge or sit back? We’re done The filming and interview
are all finished now Since I was alone today with
no members, it felt a bit empty And I heard there would be
extras too, so I was really nervous But the atmosphere
was so warm and nice, I had such a great time filming They filmed it so beautifully,
almost like a movie, so I think it’s going to turn out to be an
amazing music video. I’m excited already So WithU, please watch it a lot There’s still a long way to go, but I’ll see you again for
my 2026 birthday content Bye-bye (To the MAYUKA of 2026) Please stay just the way you are You don’t need to force yourself to change There are already so many people
around you who accept you as you are So I hope you think, ‘I’m fine like this’, and grow just as you are,
