beyond Japanese food and try something Western? That’s why I picked this special dish for today’s episode! Nakameguro has this chic, residential vibe. A few years ago, when the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo opened here, I think that’s when more visitors
from overseas started coming. It’s also really close to Shibuya, so the area has turned into a fun neighborhood to explore. And you know how nice it is to have a go-to restaurant in a place like this, right? Oh? I guess it’s here! That was fast? Just a three-minute walk from the station! This is Forne! Guys, once you step inside,
it actually feels a lot bigger than it looks from outside! There are both table seats and counter seats, so it’s the kind of place that’s perfect
for chatting with friends. 😆 Their signature dish is the Volcano Pasta, but as you can see, they serve a wide range of dishes and if you look

so basically, it’s a meat carbonara! You do need to reserve this dish in advance,
so I booked it beforehand through their website
(you can also reserve via SNS or phone) And even though today’s kind of a cheat day, I thought I should still get a bit of vegetables (Main dish: 2,900 yen / Side: 1,200 yen)
so I’m adding aTomato Caprese as a side! It should make the colors of the table even prettier, right? When I looked up the restaurant, the full name was Chicago Pizza & Volcano Pasta Meat & Cheese Forne and I remember thinking, “Wow, that’s quite a long name!”
But when I called to make a reservation, the staff simply answered, “Hello, this is Forne.” So you can just remember it as Forne! I kept seeing this restaurant all over Instagram and since I really love the Nakameguro area I was so curious to check it out in person and thanks to YouTube, I finally made it here! ❤ My order just arrived,
and the staff actually set it up right in front of me. wow…! I’ve been waiting for this moment! The pasta looks like a single sheet of lasagna! I was wondering how to eat it,
and then they handed me a pair of scissors. So I guess you’re supposed to cut the pasta yourself! (Definitely a Nakameguro hot-spot moment)
This could be a thumbnail! And the smell, it’s amazing!
You can totally expect that rich, cheesy smell. It looks so delicious…! I’m really glad I came hungry today. Let’s dig in! Mmm! The cheese has that deep savory flavor,
but it’s not one of those strong, which is perfect for me, because while I love cheese,
I can’t handle it when the smell’s too overpowering. This is just right! 👍 👍 Since it’s got meat, thick pasta,
and plenty of cheese, I was worried it might feel heavy but it’s actually a perfect combination
so balanced and satisfying❤ This is definitely something I’d recommend! It’s not just about the presentation either, the cheese is legit,
and the pasta has that nice chewy texture.I love it! It’s so good I can’t stop eating😂 The sauce tastes exactly like a classic, delicious carbonara and even though the visuals make it look super special, it’s actually a familiar flavor, which makes it even more comforting. And the meat, though it looks thick, is sliced pretty thin! so it’s lighter and easier to eat than I expected. I like that! I’m not someone who cooks a lot, but I really think the way you prepare ingredients like vegetables, meat, or pasta makes such a big difference. Because depending on how you cut them, the texture changes, and even the flavor can feel totally different. And here, you can really tell they pay attention to those little details! Let’s try the meat now! Oh wow, it’s really flavorful, And since it’s not too fatty,
it doesn’t feel greasy at all! Total cheat-day vibes~ It looks like it’d be super heavy, but once you eat it, it’s surprisingly light
and not at all overwhelming. Now I’ll try the meat and pasta together! It’s delicious even if you eat meat and
noodles at the same time! And maybe switch up the flavor
a bit with the sauce they gave me. Ah, so this is what it tastes like! Personally, I don’t think it needs any extra oil or cheese powder It’s actually better as is, with that original flavor. And of course, I can’t just eat carbs, so let’s try the Tomato Caprese too! Surprisingly, it feels heavier than the cheese in the main dish The flavor is much bolder and richer!
