[SUB] 자동차 덕후의 성지 예약🚗 | 차알못도 홀린 현대 모터스튜디오 서울 | 리뉴얼 공간 찐리뷰
Seoul, Dosan-daero Hi everyone! Today,
we’re at a must-visit spot for all car enthusiasts! the ultimate playground for automobile lovers:
Hyundai Motorstudio Seoul! Every time I passed by this street,
I was so curious about this building.
(You know, the one with the car hanging upside down!) Since I don’t really know much about cars, I’m both excited
and a little nervous to see how much I’ll enjoy it. Let’s check it out together, one step at a time! Come with me~ *This video was made with the support of Hyundai Motorstudio. Wow~ It’s so beautiful in here! This is totally different from
what I imagined a car showroom would look like. Isn’t the space gorgeous?
Even all the little props and details are so aesthetic! The interior design feels really unique It’s one of those places that just makes you want to take pictures everywhere! I thought it would just be all about cars, But wow, this place is so much more than that.
I really have to show you around today! Even though I don’t know much about cars, I can’t stop looking around, so imagine how excited real car lovers would be here! Wow! The detail is amazing! (looking around curiously) There are a lot of information panels too, and I would like to ask some of the more profound, more technical questions. Luckily, today I have Grurunim who’ll be helping Mina
with a guided tour! And it’s good to look around today. Luckily, today I have Grurunim who’ll be helping Mina
with a guided tour! And it’s good to look around today. *Guru = A Hyundai storyteller, someone with expert knowledge who helps guests enjoy a comfortable and engaging experience while learning about the brand. – Hello, I’m Fujii Mina.
– Nice to meet you, I know you! I’ve seen you on TV before.
– Nice to meet you too Hello, I’m Byoungyoung Choi, your guide for today. – It’s a pleasure to meet you!
– Thanks for having me! When I first walked in, I honestly wondered,
“Wait, is this really a car showroom?” The space is so much more beautiful than I expected! What really caught my eye was the pipe-themed interior design. It’s something you don’t often see elsewhere – The design actually represents Hyundai’s philosophy of resource circulation.
– Oh, it has a meaning behind it! Exactly. When a car is made, it starts from molten metal, which becomes a steel plate, then a car, and finally gets recycled as scrap metal. The entire lifecycle is symbolized through the pipes you see here. which becomes a steel plate, then a car, and finally gets recycled as scrap metal. The entire lifecycle is symbolized through the pipes you see here. The first floor houses Korea’s very first automotive library. – It makes sense! Since there are so many books here! Yes, and this space was created in collaboration with CCC,
the Japanese lifestyle company behind Tsutaya books. Yes, and this space was created in collaboration with CCC,
the Japanese lifestyle company behind Tsutaya books. CCC= Connects culture and everyday life. They propose lifestyle concepts through books, films, music, and space, aiming to build what they call “cultural infrastructure.” Across the entire first and second floors, you’ll find around 2,500 curated books and 500 auto-related items, carefully selected by French luxury art book publisher Assouline and CCC. Through three main themes, Heritage, Lifestyle, and Innovation, we share a wide range of stories with our visitors. Through three main themes, Heritage, Lifestyle, and Innovation, we share a wide range of stories with our visitors. – Ah~ so everything is organzied by theme!
– That’s right The first theme you’ll see is Heritage, and you can find its first section here,
infront of the Vintage Collection. Wow, I love vintage aesthetics! It has such a retro vibe. – Wait, isn’t that the Michelin Man?
– Yes, that’s right. He’s Bibendum, the mascot of the French tire brand Michelin. Oh, can I ask something? I see a Ferrari over there…
is that okay? Isn’t that a rival brand? This space isn’t just about Hyundai. It’s a community space that celebrates the culture of automobiles. So we also showcase a variety of brands and histories together. This space isn’t just about Hyundai. It’s a community space that celebrates the culture of automobiles. So we also showcase a variety of brands and histories together. This space isn’t just about Hyundai. It’s a community space that celebrates the culture of automobiles. So we also showcase a variety of brands and histories together. In fact, Ferrari even has a subtle connection with Hyundai. Pininfarina – An Italian luxury design house that pursues harmony between form and function across diverse fields such as automobiles, architecture, and product design, setting global standards in design excellence. Pininfarina actually designed Hyundai’s Lavita model in the early 2000s, so there’s a connection between the two brands. Oh wow, everything here really has a story behind it! Oh, and I see some price tags here!
Are these items actually for sale? Yes, that’s right.
These are real items that customers can actually purchase. Looking closely, everything is in such excellent condition,
but I noticed that some of the older-looking ones are more expensive. Why is that? Looking closely, everything is in such excellent condition,
but I noticed that some of the older-looking ones are more expensive. Why is that? Since these are vintage items, those preserved in their original condition tend to have higher value. Are these really original pieces from back in the day? – Yes, they’ve been kept exactly as they were.
– Wow, that’s amazing! – Now, if you look ahead, you’ll see a very special diorama.
– Oh, yes! I’ve been curious about that since earlier.
It caught my eye right away. The piece in front of us is by Japanese artist Satoshi Araki and depicts Seoul in the 1980s. Satoshi Araki = is known as a master of miniatures, famous for his incredibly realistic and detailed diorama works that capture the passage of time and traces of the city. Wow, a Japanese artist recreated scenes from old Seoul! He’s widely admired for his precise portrayal of the details of past urban landscapes. The level of detail is insane, the torn posters,
the weathered walls, it all feels so real! Yes, for people who lived through the era, this piece brings a deep sense of nostalgia. I’m from a younger generation, and the artist is Japanese,
but somehow… . it still feels nostalgic. That’s so fascinating Looking around here… doesn’t it suddenly feel like we’re about to head into the jungle or go off-roading somewhere? Yes, it’s an entirely different atmosphere, right? You might notice logos featuring the Camel logo throughout this area. Do you know what the Camel is? There is a hint in this place! – Tobacco…?! / That’s right!
– Uh? Really? It’s a cigarette brand? Camel Trophy = A legendary off-road adventure competition that ran for about 20 years. It wasn’t about prize money. It was a hardcore off-road challenge for amateur adventurers who simply wanted to test their limits. The event became an iconic symbol of exploration and the spirit of challenge. The next section showcases items that reflect 1960s automobile culture. This is a toy model of a gas station made in France. It represents a station of the oil company ESSO. These days, toys like this are usually made of plastic, right? – Uh? This one is not?
– Yes, this piece is made of plywood and metal. Wow, that’s incredible! Wood can crack or warp from humidity, so the fact that it’s been kept in such perfect condition.
You can really feel the history behind it. I love it ♥ so the fact that it’s been kept in such perfect condition.
You can really feel the history behind it. I love it ♥ Back then, cars weren’t standard, so maybe toys like this were a way for people to create their own special little world. Now, let’s move on to the Heritage section, where you’ll find stories behind various automobile brands and design houses. Here, the Heritage books showcase the histories of different car brands and the legacy of world-renowned design studios. Here, the Heritage books showcase the histories of different car brands and the legacy of world-renowned design studios. In front of us is Hyundai’s first original model, the Pony. Displayed here both as a die-cast model and an illustration. The books beside it also tell a special story. You can actually see the original design renderings and research drawings from the car’s development process. You can actually see the original design renderings and research drawings from the car’s development process. Wow! Even as a foreigner, I feel like I could really enjoy reading this. There are so many illustrations and photos; they give you a clear visual of what cars looked like back in the day. 👀 When the Pony was first released, it was so popular that around 7 to 8 out of every 10 cars on the road were Ponys. Wow, so about 70% of all cars were Ponys? That’s incredible! Honestly, I could spend an entire day just here…
This place is dangerous in the best way♥ In this area, you can find a wide range of books. But doesn’t that one in front of us look familiar? Oh… Lou… Louis Vuitton?! It is Louis Vuitton! I’m guessing people might wonder why a luxury fashion
brand book is displayed here. / Exactly. Louis Vuitton has sponsored and hosted luxury and classic car exhibitions and events, and has even collaborated on special-edition cars. Ah really? So they were sponsored! Yes, and if you look inside this book, you’ll find photos from the classic car competitions that Louis Vuitton supported and organized over the years. Yes, and if you look inside this book, you’ll find photos from the classic car competitions that Louis Vuitton supported and organized over the years. / Oh, wow! These are incredible! Honestly, cars are pure works of art. I might not know much about the mechanical side, but just looking at the shapes, colors, and balance is so exciting! Wow… the design on this one is really unique,
I didn’t even know something like this existed! – The poster in front of us might look quite familiar.
– I feel like I’ve seen this before! – You know the movie Back to the Future, right?
– Of course! I’ve seen all of them! – This poster feautres the DeLorean,
the time machine from the movie.
– Ah, the DeLorean!
The one with the doors that open upward, right? Exactly! The car doors open like this. – What’s interesting is that the poster doesn’t actually show the movie title. It just shows the car itself.
– Ah~ you’re right. There’s no title or explanation. Yes, the idea is that you can recognize the movie just from the car. It’s based on the concept that “The car itself is a character in the film.” That’s so fun! It’s like a quiz for movie and car lovers! – And speaking of car lovers,
many of them also enjoy camping, right?
– Yeah! A lot of them even do car camping! Nordisk = A Danish outdoor brand known for its simple
and functional Scandinavian design aesthetic. These particular items are limited editions,
created in collaboration with CCC. Oh, wow! So if someone in Korea wanted to buy these,
this might be the only place to get them? Wow! That’s so special, and they’re beautiful too! They’re so pretty,
so I just wanted to try them on, haha! Ah, it’s cute! – They look like I could go camping right now!
– Yeah! Let’s go! – The color is so pretty, too.
Camping gear is usually really dark,
but this one’s bright and fresh!
– Right! Most outdoor gear tends to use darker tones! But this color was inspired by beacheside camping in Japan. Oh~ So they imagined camping by the seaside!
(This turquoise color is a rare, limited-edition shade!) That turquoise shade is perfect for somewhere like Okinawa. Exactly! Camping surrounded by nature! And for car enthusiasts, – this area also features exclusive Initial D merchandise.
– Yes! I see it! Initial D = It’s a story of a young man who works part-time at a gas station by day and delivers tofu at dawn, following in the footsteps of his legendary street-racer father as he grows into a true racer himself. I actually watched the whole series recently! And even MF Ghost! It’s still such a fantastic story, so much fun to watch! Down here, you can see the car driven by the main character Takumi, in the anime! It’s the Toyota AE86, commonly known as Hachiroku. Wow, seeing it in 3D like this is fantastic!
I’d only ever seen it in the anime! This one’s actually a plastic model, and if you open the top,
it doubles as a tissue case. No way! It’s a tissue box?! That’s such a fun idea! – And look! The license plate is different, too!
– Yeah, it even says Initial D on it. Now, moving on to the Lifestyle theme, there’s a very special book I’d like to show you: Superfinds. Superfinds = This book captures the moment of discovery of rare and historic classic cars. It’s almost like automotive archaeology, preserving the untouched, time-worn beauty of these vehicles through photographs and detailed commentary. – The cover looks really unique!
– Yeah! And heavy too! – It’s designed to resemble rusted car metal. Only 50 copies were made worldwide,
and this one here is No. 12 / Ah~ Complete with the author’s signature. Wow, that must be expensive, haha You know, we usually think of cars as just vehicles,
something to get us from one place to another. But the creator of this book sees cars as cultural heritage, something worth preserving and passing down. You know, we usually think of cars as just vehicles,
something to get us from one place to another. But the creator of this book sees cars as cultural heritage, something worth preserving and passing down. Now that I’m here, I totally get that.
Cars aren’t just transportation anymore. Even this silver finish makes me feel strangely attached to it…♥ It’s the kind of thing you just want to treasure…♥ In front of us is the IONIQ 5,
the very first model of Hyundai’s IONIQ brand. After Hyundai reached 100 million cars in cumulative production, the 100 million and first vehicle was none other than the IONIQ 5! It was actually designed as an homage to Hyundai’s first-ever original car, the Pony. – So they’re connected! / Yes, it is. The Pony was Hyundai’s first original model. The IONIQ 5 is Hyundai’s first dedicated electric vehicle. Both were “firsts,” and that’s the link between them. Wow, that’s so cool,
it’s a story of respect and evolution all at once! Right in front of us, you’ll see the Die-cast Tower,
which visually represents Hyundai’s timeline. – A display that showcases the brand’s entire history of innovation
– So there was a long journey leading up to the Pony! Honestly, I didn’t expect to have this much fun here!
It’s amazing! – At this point, I don’t think you even have to be a car expert to enjoy this place! / Right~ Now, let’s go up to the second floor! There’s also a lounge space where you can relax, and you can enjoy some incredible too😊 (transitioning upstairs)
Ta-da~ it feels like we’ve warped into the future! From the third floor onward, we’re entering the Mobility Studio, where you can see actual Hyundai vehicles up close. On the left, you’ll find the N Zone, featuring Hyundai’s high-performance N brand with a range of vehicles and immersive experiences to enjoy. Nブランドの色んな車とコンテンツも見れます N ZONE is a newly created space on the 3rd floor, celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hyundai N. It features N performance parts, games, rolling laps, and more — all curated for true performance enthusiasts. – Ah~~ so that upside-down car we saw from outside is here!
– That’s right! You can also see the car rotator up close, right in front of us In addition to the display vehicles, there are also plenty of interactive experiences you can try out here. There are games for kids, of course, but also racing simulators that adults will definitely enjoy! – Would you like to give it a try?
– Uh? I think I have to try! haha Once you start, just follow the yellow dotted line on the track. Oh! Here we go! It’s been so long since I last drove… Crashed already… (Empty..) Where did everyone else go? Haha.
My friends just disappeared! It’s surprisingly realistic, though, so you get focused on it without noticing it, haha. (finish) 10th place? Haha. I didn’t expect it, but when you make a mistake, the steering wheel actually vibrates, so it really feels like driving a real car. Even if you’re not great at driving, the seat is so comfortable that you still feel like a pro! This fourth floor is dedicated to Hyundai’s electric-vehicle brand, IONIQ. Visitors can explore different color options for IONIQ models and experience them as if they were the real thing through the Die-cast Wall, which deepens the product experience. It’s actually so nice to see the colors in person. It makes choosing so much easier! Over here, you can also check out the actual paint chips used on real vehicles. You can even pull them out from the drawers and see them up close. – This one’s called Sunset Brown.
– Oh, that’s beautiful! Q. What is Mina’s pic? – If I had to choose… definitely Sunset Brwon! It’s so pretty!
– Let’s see what it looks like on the actual car. / Yeah~~ Wow, it’s even prettier in real life! It looks so spacious, too. You can even sit inside! The color is totally my style♥ – It matches perfectly with autumn, right?
– Oh, that’s true~~ – The seats are gorgeous
– And the steering-wheel color combination is beautiful. Beige and brown go so well together So that’s why it feels cozy and warm. I think I just found a new dream!
Work hard and buy a car that fits my style! The interior is so lovely that it feels comfortable enough for family or friends to ride together. You really have to sit inside to appreciate it! I’m leaving now~ call me later~~ The trunk space is huge, too.
It’s perfect for family camping trips! Wow, it’s so spacious. It’s basically a bed! This isn’t just a car… It’s a car of the future. I’m realizing there’s so much I didn’t know.
Isn’t this fascinating, everyone? You can even lie down comfortably like this. – I think this angle looks perfect
– This could be the thumbnail shot! – Out of all the cars you’ve seen today, is this your favorite? – Yes… I like it… I’m in trouble, I think I’ve fallen for it. Maybe it was better when I didn’t know…
I had no idea the world of EVs was this amazing. (Moving to the 5th floor)
– You really enjoyed the 4th floor, Mina!
– I did~ It was so much fun! I’m still excited! – And now, we’re here at the final stop~ / Wow~~ This lounge is open to Hyundai car owners, but even if you don’t own a Hyundai car, you can still
enjoy it by signing up for the Hyundai Membership
and using the welcome coupon provided. Wow, they even have a space like this here! The Assouline books here are so beautiful, and the color combinations are just perfect. Who would’ve imagined a car showroom could feel like this? I really didn’t know! This place has been so much fun and inspiring to explore! How was our visit to Hyundai Motorsudito Seoul today? Even for someone like me who doesn’t know much about cars, there was so much to enjoy! From books and vintage collections to interactive racing games! Everything here is thoughtfully designed and full of fun experiences. It’s the perfect spot for a family outing, especially if you have kids!
