(1:00 PM @Pottery Class) (AYAKA’s first pottery experience) I’d been really excited about today Like a flower pot, or an incense holder, or maybe a little dish for accessories… I thought it would be nice to
make something like that I’ve never done this before,
so it might be hard, but I’ll give it a try Fighting! ((Imagining the steps)
First, the craft instructor shows her how it’s done) Wow. It seems tricky – Once you’re done, you can set it here
– Okay – Alright, shall we try?
– Yes! ((AYAKA looking nervous)
Starting with the basics!) (Keeping your hands steady is the key) (Pressing the clay with her fingers
to form grooves) (*Remember to keep your elbows
on your knees) (Gotta get used to the basic posture first) (AYAKA in full focus mode) My elbow lifted off ((With the guidance)
Widening the vessel’s body) ((Using your fingertips)
Gradually forming the whole shape) (The instructor is impressed by her precision!) ((To make it smooth) Brushing on some water) ((Pulling upward)
Adjusting the height now) My other fingers keep lifting up ((High praise from the instructor)
AYAKA’s hidden pottery talent) (Feeling good) This is amazing! (Thinning out the neck part) (It looks like a flower pot!) Oh, it actually looks pretty good ((Final touches!)
Carefully finishing it up…) This is so much fun
(My flower pot is done!) I feel like… I just discovered a new talent (Second challenge: a smaller flower pot) (3x speed)
(Getting the hang of it, little by little) (Wobbling)
Oh no… Oh no It got way too thin (It’s flapping around LOL) ((Fighting!)
Can she get it back in shape…?) Ah… I’ll do my best Let’s give it everything (AYAKA flustered) I’ll just remake it (Why did she want to try pottery?) I thought maybe I could do it too I’ve always wanted to try it I saw one of the members do it before I lost the draw at the time,
so I couldn’t give it a try… But finally, my little dream came true I’m so happy And I love quietly focusing on one thing like this It makes me so happy I’m not talking much, because I’m so focused (With the instructor’s help, another try!) Using this brush is fun too (Focus mode)
(Adjusting to make the opening smaller) It’s pretty! It’s a bit thick, but still, it looks pretty (The instructor also showed her
how to move her piece) (Heart pounding) (The second flower pot is done!) (Second) (First) (Sample)
So pretty It’s a little chubby though But still pretty! Can I try making a plate now? (Third challenge: a plate!) (3x speed)
(Trying different shapes) (5 minutes after starting the plate…) Hmm, this one looks pretty good (She finished so fast that
everyone was surprised) (The plate is done!) It’s a little wavy, kind of like a cup
(This one ↓) (Next challenge: a tea cup!) (Level up!!) The way it feels when I touch it is so nice So soft It’s the kind of softness that
really calms your heart (3x speed) (The wavy shape is a challenge) (It’s wobbling) It’s shaking a lot ((AYAKA struggling)
Restoring it with some help) ((Final touches!)
Smoothing the uneven inside with a brush) ((Nervous…)
If it’s too big, it’s hard to move) (The tea cup is complete!) (AYAKA feeling happy) (One last challenge: another tea cup!) (Clay all over her hands) Ah~ I want to make this one pretty (3x speed) (Can she redeem herself?) This is so much fun It makes me want to do this as a hobby (The curves are looking better than before!) I think it turned out okay (The second tea cup is complete!) I really like this flower pot, it’s so pretty I think the two will look nice together (Her long-awaited pottery experience…
and she couldn’t be happier!) I’m so happy. Thank you! (Choosing the colors for her pieces) Almost brown ((Thinking hard)

a nice home decoration This was my very first pottery experience I felt kind of confident at first, but… not really, hehe Since I’ve never tried before I just thought it’d be
fun to make something and I ended up making
more than I expected, so it was super fun Not having to think about anything was really relaxing It turned into such a wonderful day Thank you Now, I’m heading to a café (Moving on to the café) (Walking to the café)
Since today was about pottery, I chose a calm outfit What was this flower again? Like a morning glory? (It was a morning glory)
But since it’s not morning, what kind was it? Sometimes I go for walks with MAYA She takes me down roads I don’t
know, saying she wants to explore But I’m terrible with directions So I follow her, thinking, ‘Are you sure this is the way?’ I think this is my first time vlogging in Japan I’ve never really filmed properly before This is fun (In RIO’s vlog, tennis)
Oh right, I did tennis too I totally forgot But I didn’t wander around like this ((Playing tennis again after 5 years)
How was it?) I hope you thought it looked nice, honestly I was so embarrassed But it was really fun back then ((Drip drop)
Raindrops are falling) I like spring and fall If it’s cold, you can still
make yourself warm, which is nice But if it’s too cold, it gets really tough And surprisingly, even in summer,
it’s chilly sometimes The AC in the waiting room
is always freezing So long sleeves are a must year-round ((Because of the strong wind)
A little mishap happens here) Sorry, oh no… (AYAKA bursting into laughter) ((So hungry) Finally arrived at the café) It feels like a secret house Such a nice vibe (3:30 PM @Arrived at the café) I want the eel cheese quiche I want to try that A kiwi soda, please (She recently started reading)
At the beginning of this year, I suddenly thought, ‘Maybe I should try reading books?’ Partly because I wanted a new hobby, and also because I hoped I
could express emotions better So around January,
I went to the bookstore I searched lots of recommended books
on my phone, and bought some My goal is… to find a character who
feels really similar to me Like, ‘Wow, this protagonist is just like me’ I hope I’ll experience that someday, so I’ve been reading different books Actually, I brought some today ((3 books to share!)
AYAKA’s recommended reads) The first one I read was… (‘Red, Blue and Sketches’
by Aoyama Michiko) It ranked 2nd in the Japan Booksellers’ Award, (and I couldn’t resist 😂) Each short story connects at the end When you’re reading, suddenly another person’s story begins, but then in the end, you’re like, ‘Ah, I see!’ It shows love for objects, romantic love between people, love for friends, and family love too So many forms of love All connected into one story This one was really good It moved me quite a bit When there are kanji I don’t know,
I just skip them I don’t bother looking them up,
just guess the meaning Like, ‘It must mean something like this,’
and keep going I tried making a habit of
reading before bed, but I only lasted two days When I was in Korea,
during breaks from practice, in the vocal room or somewhere, I’d read for a bit, then go back to practice That’s how I’ve been balancing
reading and training Next is this one
(Recommended book #2) The next book I finished was… (‘You Are Like a Star’ by Yuu Nagira)
This one was also on the list I thought, ‘Oh, another award-winner!’ It’s about two people and their love story over many years It was fun to see glimpses of their lives The scenery of island life, like talking by the sea after
school, was described so beautifully I really loved those parts (Drinks have arrived!) So pretty The drinks are here Kiwi! (Sip sip) I’m still reading this one
(Recommended book #3) (‘The Scent of a Transparent Night’ by Akane Chihaya)
I’ve read this far I’m on Chapter 2 now It’s about perfume, like top notes The order of scents, with explanations about fragrance I thought, ‘So beautiful,’ and it made me excited to read it There’s a character with
a superpower related to scent, and the story gradually reveals
why she has it It’s about discovering that power And maybe love? Does it turn into a romance story? (※According to the synopsis 😂)
It’s supposed to be a dramatic full-length novel That’s what it says I haven’t finished reading it yet,
but it’s really fun I ordered this one online I thought it looked interesting,
and I love perfumes too I’ll keep reading it The food is here Look at this Eel cheese quiche It looks amazing Thank you for the food It made me want to try more experiences where
I create something with my own hands I hope I can find the one that suits me best Let’s eat (Yum) It’s delicious (Yum) I borrowed a book from MAYA but I haven’t read it at all I need to give it back to her RIO and MAKO are the type to read too Oh, and NINA too NINA reads books in English Looks so good (A summer must-have: shaved ice) (Snapping a pic with the huge shaved ice) So good I really love sweet potatoes It’s unbelievably good It’s so, so good This is such a happy day It really feels like a holiday Today doesn’t feel like filming at all It feels like a day off That’s the end of my one-day pottery VLOG It’s something I’ve always wanted to try, and it turned out to be
such a wonderful experience I hope this inspires me
to try other things too, like making glass cups or trying out glass crafts Hopefully, one day I can show you that too I’d be happy if you enjoyed watching Thank you so much (My finished pieces have arrived) The pottery pieces I made have arrived Let’s open them up They’re so pretty,
I’m really attached to them Wow They’re beautiful This is honestly something you’d find in a store I know I’m praising myself, but they’re just so pretty Apparently, the pottery instructor
even acknowledged my talent and suggested, ‘How about becoming a potter?’ They really encouraged me Maybe I should do it as a side job? So cute Even the little tilted parts
look like part of the design So pretty I feel so satisfied After going to the pottery class, I recommended it to lots of people You should try it too
if you get the chance Remember, I added ‘2025’ on one of them too So pretty This pink is so cute I’m really happy with it Even though it was my first time,
I made so many pieces Didn’t I do a good job with this plate? I’m planning to use it as an interior decoration Thank you (A new addition to her home decor)

    「成瀬は天下を取りにいく(宮島未奈さん作)」、おすすめです！(昨年の本屋大賞作品です笑)
    短編になっていて読みやすいし、主人公が少し変わり者で、でもやりたいことに突き進む、周りに流されない強さを持っていて、それがアヤカちゃんに似てるなと思いコメントさせてもらいます！

    ホルツ中の多忙な時期ですごく大変だと思いますが、だからこそ読書で心が休まりますように🍀︎

    初めて作ってこの上手さ凄すぎる！陶芸やった事あるけど電動ろくろムズかった、こんな高く土伸ばせないし平皿もあんな綺麗に出来なかった。手先が器用な上、集中力途切れないのも凄すぎ！オフだとナチュラル美人だだ漏れで素敵♡
