ANGEL TERMINATORS 2 火種 – Shamrock Mediabook Blu-ray Unboxing & Review

Hello and welcome back to Invincible Asia. I’m George Clark and today I get to check out the Shamrock Media German media book Blu-ray release of the fantastic Angel Terminators part two. And thank you very much for supporting Invincible Asia. [Music] So, arriving in with my copy of New Legend of Shaolin. Please go and check out that unboxing video if I put these up in the right order. Of course, is the fantastic Angel Terminators 2. I cannot wait to get stuck into this. I love this movie so much. One of my favorite Moonly and Youary Ashima classics without a doubt. Look at this. How bloody beautiful. Now, I have seen this. I have got it uh a number of times. Initially, I had a really crummy fan-made bootleg DVD release of both movies in a double pack that I got off eBay. I’ve got rid of that because I did pick up the Spectrum Films French Blu-ray release and it was gorgeous. Although there was no English subtitles, I had a fair idea what was going on. But this was quite the upgrade and really got me excited that one day we were going to see here in the UK a Blu-ray release of Angel Terminators part one and part two. But we have still to get those bloody releases. We still get a lot of Girls and Girls with Guns or Fatal titles here in the UK. Thankfully, Germany have stepped up to the mark and put English subtitles on there. And I finally now have Angel Terminators 2 in full HD with English subtitles. I am so excited. So, limited to 333 uh copies per cover. I think there was maybe three to four different designs of this particular cover. And as I’ve mentioned before, this artist I don’t know the name of, but I really enjoy what they’ve done. And I’ve got a number of titles. Of course, it does match uh my Shamrock Media release for Angel Terminator part one, which is just tremendous. Two very different movies. Very unconnected. Um but I I love both of them. They are tremendous. Um but this is a 1993 production directed by the great and very underrated Tony Lao. Uh Tony Louu, sorry, who also directed Dreaming the Reality, released by Shamrock as Bloodsister. Uh Holy Virgin versus the Evil Dead. Uh Bastard Swordsman, The Big Deal, which I would really love to see restored. It’s such a funny action comedy with Moody and Yukari Ashima. But of course, both of those babes star in this incredible movie along with Cibil who Jason Pa pal Lle uh Leeho Quan who also wrote the actual movie itself. Uh Sophia Crawford, did I mention her already? She is here on the back. Sophia Crawford, the the wonderful brick kicker herself. Um Bruce Fontaine is in there. A few other familiar faces. Um, but there is a lot to love here and I really hope I still hope even with these in my hands that a UK label is going to put these out for us one day soon. Um, still I love German media books. I have such the collection going here kind of from here all the way back there. Um, and I am very excited to have another one for the collection because this is just beautiful. Now inside we should get the Blu-ray and the uh DVD version of this particular movie and I can see there are pages here and on the discs alternate artwork which might get you excited for other versions of this movie if you’re lucky enough to pick it up here. Uh so you can see here the Blu-ray and the front of the media book itself inside and on the back the DVD and other artwork. They all look amazing. They really do. Um I just and that one especially that is a fantastic cover. I just I just wanted to kind of keep that style uh for my choice going with this particular artist. But that one inside is absolutely gorgeous. Um but yes, wonderfully put together. Never disappoint. I don’t think I’ve got a release from Shamrock as yet that I’ve really been disappointed in with what they’ve put out there. Um but again at the moment in terms of fem fatal and girls with guns they are leading the way. They’re doing an amazing job there. Uh so with this comes with the Blu-ray DVD we have German, Cantonese and English language options. Oh also Mandrin, four options of uh language there. We’ve got optional German or English subtitles. Uh we also have the export version. That’s pretty much it. and the booklet, which they count as a special feature, but the export version is also on there, which will be cool to see. Okay, let me get stuck into this booklet throughout here. Of course, it’s all in German. If you want to read it, you’re going to have to Google translate unless you’re a genius and can understand multiple languages. I am not that person. But yes, beautiful artwork and again, such a fun movie. If you mean that opening scene with Jason Pip Pow and Civil who is brilliant and such an introduction to the madness that you’re about to watch whenever you get into this movie. H of course Cibil who starred with Moonly and Yakaroshima in many many movies. Um of course Dreaming the Reality which was released as Bloodsister uh via German media book is one such movie and definitely one that you really need to pick up. Um, and again, a movie I wish they would release here in the UK. I don’t know what the delay is in getting these types of movies out to fans here across the UK and Ireland. I mean, it absolutely they there’s so many of them that deserve to be restored and put out there in in deluxe edition uh Blu-ray releases. Of course, they do. Look at that artwork again. That’s just incredible. But yeah, it’s a very fun movie. It’s not perfect. It’s still rough around the edges, but Tony Louu is quite the director. I mean, if you look back at his filmography, he has given us some really mental stuff, but always entertaining without a doubt. Anyway, that is all there is to share with you. I am going to go now check out everything that is on here. Come right back and let you know what I think. So, just back after checking out the German media book Blu-ray release of the incredible Angel Terminators part two. And just look at this alternate artwork behind me here on the menu. It is incredible. In fact, I kind of wish I had ordered all of the media books now because they just look incredible. When you go through that all the pages in this and see that artwork up close, they’re just incredible. Absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, they cost a bloody fortune. So, one is definitely enough. But wow, the HD quality in this is incredible and that is one thing you will not be disappointed with. I mean, I really enjoyed what Spectrum Films put out there and I feel that this is maybe just a notch up there. I didn’t compare the two side by side. Um, but I have upgraded my players since getting this and I do feel that this just gave me a much better experience. There are some scenes in this movie on this restoration that look incredible like they were filmed yesterday and my god what a gorgeous movie. I don’t know who the cinematographer was. I really should have looked into that. But there are some beautiful night shots here. The colors are so vibrant. I mean it really just makes you take notice of how beautifully shot this movie really is. It is absolutely gorgeous. But yes, incredible. Watch the Hong Kong version of course. Uh, of course that comes up with the title of uh, The Best of Lady Kickboxers, which it says here, which it says on that. Um, but the actual title comes up on the film as that, the best of Lady Kickboxers, which is his alternate title, obviously. Um, the export version looked just as good, absolutely gorgeous. Again, had no uh, problems or no quams about any of that. The subtitles read well. I don’t know how well they were translated. I don’t really care. As long as they make sense, that’s fine with me. Apart from that, you have a couple of trailer options there. You have a gorgeous uh 2-minute German HD trailer for Angel Terminators 2 itself. I mean, when you watch that, if you’re not enticed to buy this movie, I don’t know, there’s something wrong with you. But it is absolutely gorgeous. Uh, and then you have a 9-minute trailer reel of German HD trailers for some frigin gems like Angel Terminators one, which got me so excited that I’m actually going in today to watch that again on that previous uh media book that I shared with you. Um, it’s just incredible. Such a movie. And Charm Young Pampan in that is fantastic. Uh, Cheetah on Fire is also on there and the first Iron Angels movie which is just incredible. one of my all-time favorites, of course. But yeah, I mean, overall, again, not a lot of extra features there, but what they’ve presented through its artwork, the media book inside, and that HD restoration, it is just absolutely gorgeous. And of course, this menu is stunning in itself there. So, for me, I am absolutely giving this a double thumbs up. Super glad that it’s in my collection. I picked mine up from Retro Gold63, but I’m sure that they are out there on eBay. Uh probably still on Retro Gold’s site. I think there may be a few left there.
