[SUB] 도쿄 근교 감성 여행🚃|가마쿠라 하세역 당일치기 브이로그|대불·하세데라·포토스팟 완전 정복!
Hello guys,
today I’m here at Kamakura, the holy place of Slam Dunk! Actually, this is already my third time
introducing Kamakura on YouTube. But if you like traveling in Japan, Mint friends, you’ve probably visited Kamakura at least once, right? So today, instead of the usual spots,
I’ll be showing you a deeper side of Kamakura. Kamakura’s representative street is Komachi-dori!
It’s lined with traditional snacks and stylish little shops, so just walking down the street is already so much fun.
It has that unique Japanese charming atmosphere, and it’s the perfect place to take a leisurely stroll. Komachi-dori and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine are just some of the many attractions here, but today I’d like to step a little away from the station and explore in another direction. When people think of Kamakura,
you probably think of Slam Dunk. But for me, it’s the film Our Little Sister (Umimachi Diary) that comes to mind. If you’ve seen that movie, you’ll know the feeling Kamakura’s natural landscape is truly beautiful. The sea stretches out to the south, while the east, west,
and north are all surrounded by mountains, creating this unique enclosed scenery. There’s a popular theory that the name Kamakura comes from its basin-like geography, surrounded by mountains on all sides, almost like a kiln (kama). Of course, there are also other traditional stories passed down about its origin. Actually, there’s so much to enjoy around Kamakura that you could easily spend the whole day here. But today, I want to show you a less common route,
so I’ll be riding the Enoden line! I’m planning to look around here and there. I’m planning to look around here and there. It’s the Enoden One-Day Pass “Noriorikun.”
The “Noriorikun” is a one-day pass that lets you ride the Enoden line freely across the entire route. You can hop on and off as much as you like all day long, making it perfect for exploring between Enoshima and Kamakura! And the best part, it’s only 800 yen to ride the Enoden unlimited for a whole day. (If you want to take your time and enjoy all the charming, atmospheric stations, I highly recommend it.)
So I figured this is definitely the ticket I should get.
Let’s go buy it from the vending machine! You can buy the ticket right here from the station vending machines, but it’s also available online in advance so keep that in mind! Everyone, I’ve got my Noriorikun ticket! I got it! With this pass, you can even get discounts at certain facilities, so I’ll make sure to keep it safe and not forget about it.
Alright, let’s hop on the Enoden! Just pop the ticket into the gate and you’re through and here comes the cutest little Enoden train~ Even the driver’s uniform has the Enoden line embroidered on it.
(They really care about the details 👀.) And with this perfect sunny weather, our trip starts now! Isn’t it beautiful? The train only has three cars, and it winds its way right through the residential neighborhoods. Just riding it already puts you in such a good mood!
Waving hello, hello~! Today, we’ll mainly be exploring Hase Station! You can already see some of the places we’ll be visiting, and since this station is full of pretty sights, you can definitely look forward to it! Many people get off here at Hase Station,
and there’s a good reason for that! As for me, I think I’ll start with a meal!
I actually made a reservation. I can already smell the sea breeze coming in. I wonder if overseas viewers know this… well, I’m sure you do! (Southern All Stars = one of Japan’s most iconic rock bands)
There’s a band I really like called Southern All Stars, (If you’re curious, one of my personal recommendations is Kimi Koso Sutāda! / “You Are the Star!”) They’ve written many songs inspired by this very area. Kamakura really is full of stories and history. The main Kamakura Station area is very touristy and always crowded, but once you move out toward the smaller stations nearby,
you’ll find it much quieter. I really love that authentic, local atmosphere~ At first, I thought there was just one shop here, but it turns out there are several.. and the alley itself is really beautiful!
Here we are at today’s café: Recette! Isn’t the interior absolutely stunning? I was honestly moved. Every detail feels so warm and cozy,
and it’s the kind of house I’d love to live in someday. (So at Recette, you can taste truly high-quality bread.)
They use premium bread from Recetto, a famous Japanese luxury bread brand. This is a place that takes bread
more seriously than anywhere else ♥ (Open: weekdays from 9:30 AM, weekends from 8:30 AM)
I’ve read that it’s also great for breakfast. Even the weekday-only menu looks amazing! And here it is! Our order is ready!
It looks beautiful, and you can see the steam rising. When I cut into the bread, I noticed how fluffy and airy it was. Let’s give it a try! Wow, the flavor of the bread is on another level! I often order Monte Cristo at bakeries, because I like it and usually the ham and cheese flavors are very strong, So the fillings end up being the main character. But here, the ham and cheese are perfectly balanced,
allowing the bread itself to shine. Now I finally understand what makes “luxury bread” so special. It’s really surprising! You can taste the difference, Which makes me think they carefully choose every single ingredient. This is one of those flavors you just have to experience for yourself It’s not easy to describe in words. Simply delicious bread! Next, let’s try the bean soup that came with it The crunchy croutons make it even tastier. Now I’ll try the bread with maple syrup. The syrup soaks right in, making the bread moist.
How will it taste? Oh! This is actually really good. Usually when people suggest, “Try adding this later,” I often feel like it’s already delicious enough without extra seasoning. But here, I’d actually recommend adding the syrup! It makes it even better, almost like a sponge soaking up flavor. I don’t normally love sweet-and-savory combos,
but this one? I’d definitely drizzle it on. Hehe, time to just enjoy it to the fullest! (Daibutsu = Great Buddha Statue)
Everyone, I just realized I’ve never properly introduced the Daibutsu on my channel before, so today, I’ll be showing you one of Japan’s Three Great Buddha Statues! First, we wash our hands here before entering. All clean, let’s head in! Wow… even from a distance,
you can already see the massive Daibutsu statue! It’s really impressive. 📍 Kōtoku-in Temple. (Height: 11.3m / Weight: 121 tons)
Standing at 11.3 meters tall, it’s even bigger than I imagined! Between the 14th and 15th centuries, the temple hall was repeatedly destroyed by typhoons and tsunamis. After the tsunami in 1498, the hall was completely lost, and since then for over 500 years, the Great Buddha has remained outdoors, just as you see it today. Walking around to the back, I noticed something unusual:
there are small window-like openings on its back! Isn’t that interesting? These windows actually serve as natural ventilation
and also help with lighting and temperature regulation inside. Suddenly, a rain shower started pouring down,
but honestly, my heart still feels happy being here. And now, on to today’s highlight: Hase-dera Temple! In Japan, when you think of hydrangeas, the two most famous spots are Meigetsu-in and Hase-dera. I’ve already shown you Meigetsu-in before, remember? So this time, we’re heading to Hase-dera! Unlike the restaurant alley earlier, which felt more local, here I can already see lots of tourists. 📍Hasedera Let’s buy our tickets at the entrance and go inside! Today, we’re here to enjoy the hydrangeas! But honestly, it’s not just the hydrangeas so many other plants and flowers are beautiful here too. I love it! The rain just stopped, so the air feels really fresh. You can still smell the rain in the air,
and the whole atmosphere is just perfect. Here at Hase-dera, there are actually many different varieties of hydrangeas around 40 types and about 2,500 plants in full bloom! Here at Hase-dera, there are actually many different varieties of hydrangeas around 40 types and about 2,500 plants in full bloom! And the greenery here… it’s not the kind of green you usually see in the city. It’s such a pure, natural shade of green. Hase-dera is really spacious, so there’s a lot to see. I’ve only explored the entrance area so far,
but it’s already stunning. Now, I’m going to head up to the observatory for a view from above! Everyone, I’ve climbed up the stairs and from here, it really feels like the Hydrangea Path! Quick tip: you need to buy a separate hydrangea ticket on-site! If you follow this path up,
you’ll be greeted by rows of beautiful hydrangeas. Hydrangeas in full bloom are so beautiful.
They’re absolutely breathtaking…🥰 And once I reached the top, I realized this is exactly the same atmosphere as the film Our Little Sister. Kamakura really is a place where you can see both the mountains and the sea at the same time. From here you can see Shichirigahama Beach, a spot famous for surfing,
so there are always lots of surfers out there. (Here is Nagomi Jizo, the guardian deity who brings peace.) this is Ryoen Jizo is the guardian (And this is Ryoen Jizo, the guardian who blesses relationships.)
They say if you set this Jizo’s photo as your phone wallpaper, good things will happen… so I’m going to do it too! Earlier I mentioned that Kamakura is surrounded by mountains on the west, east, and north sides. The soil in those mountains is actually soft and prone to erosion. That’s why hydrangeas were planted here to hold the soil in place with their strong roots. Now it’s time to head back down. Honestly, it’s hard to leave… This place really feels like heaven. Hase-dera had way more to see than I expected, So make sure you’ve got plenty of storage space for photos and videos. It was such a fun visit, wow! I’m hopping back on the Enoden
and heading to Shichirigahama Station. When people think of Kamakura’s seaside, they usually get off at Kamakurakokomae Station, right? But honestly, you can see a beautiful ocean view here at Shichirigahama too. I was about to say that… but it looks like people already know this spot because it’s pretty crowded! That’s because there’s still a photo spot here that hasn’t gone super mainstream yet. I thought I’d need to check the map, but nope! I found it right away, and I love it! It’s called Yuuki-ai Bridge,
and because there are two bridges side by side, you can see the ocean framed perfectly between them. (but especially emotional at sunset when the train passes by.)
It’s gorgeous in the daytime,
and you can feel the good atmosphere. (Enoden train + little stream + Shichirigahama beach + sunset = ❤️)Of course, the Slam Dunk opening scene location is amazing, but what do you think about this kind of vibe, everyone? From the opposite side, the view feels completely different,
so let’s walk over and check it out! The scent of the ocean is everywhere here It’s definitely the ocean~~ kinda feeling?! This is a little embarrassing to say about myself, but am I basically a weather fairy? It was cloudy earlier, and now the sky is totally blue! And just as I thought, the view from the opposite side is even more beautiful. When you look down from above it seems ordinary, but from the other side it’s absolutely stunning. I don’t know if it was designed that way on purpose, but I’d strongly recommend this as a new photo spot. The beaches along the Enoden line are all so beautiful. So if you spot the ocean, just hop off the train that alone feels like a guaranteed win. Shichirigahama has such photogenic spots,
and the scenery is just gorgeous Everyone needs to definitely check it out! So, how was Kamakura with me today? There are so many different things to see here, but today I mainly introduced the Hase Station area This is really a town full of special vibes, So why not take a walk and discover your own photo spots? Then that’s it for today’s video.
