【京都vlog】出町柳めぐり|カフェとクラフト市とお寺と|休日の過ごし方|THE GREEN|nekonohige|六角堂|
Good morning, it’s Nori. Today I started off by going out. After a few days of rain, autumn has arrived in the blink of an eye 🍁 It’s a joyous season that comes so suddenly, but it’s sure to be short. I want to cherish this comfortable season, so I’m heading out right away. This is my first time visiting Demachiyanagi, a town where I was greeted by the exciting Daimonji bonfires. I was so happy to be able to see it so close . Just outside the station, there was the Kamogawa Delta. I was captivated by the sense of openness, which is not found anywhere near my house. Let’s cross later! There’s a Y-shaped fork in the road. Even though I’m not good at geography, a map immediately pops into my head . First , I head to a restaurant for lunch. As soon as I entered THE GREEN , I was excited by the atmosphere I liked. The atmosphere reminded me of the countryside overseas, and time passed leisurely . I’m grateful that they serve lunch even at late hours . There’s an elementary school right in front of the restaurant, and I can hear the lively voices of the children. The hot dogs were sold out, so I ordered the same thing as my husband. It had a large homemade sausage and … Mashed potatoes 🥰 I love mashed potatoes 🥔 It’s truly a plate of happiness ! The chewy , homemade sausages are delicious and filling, so I’m happy I was able to eat a lot! The salad was also hearty 🥰 The cool breeze is blowing through, making this a pleasant autumn day. I’d love to have a kitchen like this ✨ The sight of all the kitchen utensils lined up is so cute! Thank you for the meal! Today I have another destination: a small sweets shop. I ‘m crossing Demachi Shopping Street. I’m feeling great today too! Neko no Hige Cake Studio. Open Sundays and Mondays from 11am to 3pm. They offer takeout cakes and sandwiches. The cats featured on their Instagram are so cute 😺 Today the cats were off work. I was surprised at the reasonable prices, especially in these times 😲 It was almost closing time, so many things were sold out. I bought dessert after dinner ♪ Let’s eat at Kamogawa 🥰 Two for about 500 yen ✨ Exciting! I’m back at Demachi Shopping Street. Kamogawa is just around the corner. Arrived! I ate from a stone on the edge that wouldn’t get in the way . The light sparkling in the river was so good I could stare at it forever. The gently sweet jelly and grapefruit were sweet and sour and delicious 🥰. It made me feel cool even in the strong sunlight. This was my first time eating a grape roll cake ✨ The dough was light and fluffy, and the not-too-sweet cream and grapes were delicious. Eating sweet things in a pleasant place is exceptional 😊 Both were so comforting and delicious. I’m jealous of the people nearby! After the snack, it was time to relax. One after another, people came across the stepping stones. I was one of them. It looked like they could jump easily, but it was actually a little nerve-wracking. But once they jumped, it was no problem. At times, it was important to be considerate of others. The fish were small but doing their best . Ours was even smaller! So cute! Just looking at it makes me feel cool. I wonder how long this year’s autumn will last. It seems like it’s shorter every year, but I hope it’s longer this year. I’m happy to be able to spend time without worrying about whether it’s hot or cold. My favorite seasons are, of course, spring and autumn. It’s about time to go home. I feel like I’ve had a fulfilling holiday. 😊 Let’s make dinner. The apples I bought the other day were limp and not suitable for eating as is, so I thought I’d try using them in cooking . I sometimes put them in salads, but this is the first time I’ve used them in a hot dish . I wonder how it will turn out. I’ll make a sauce using the apple and onion. I’ll mix one apple, half an onion, and the seasoning liquid in a hand blender . I’ll add the seasonings : one apple, half an onion, 1.5 tablespoons soy sauce, 1 tablespoon vinegar. Please overlook the dirt on the stove. Lately, I’ve been thinking about making my kitchen cute. I’ve been looking at beautiful kitchens on YouTube and Instagram, but… Where to start… I’ll also grill some Moroccan green beans with chicken. A regular customer has arrived. Today’s menu is raw cabbage. The customer seems very satisfied. She’s a big eater and even asks for seconds! She loves cabbage 🥰 Let’s arrange each dish individually . We’ll also pour on some apple and onion sauce. When I made it, I thought it didn’t look that appetizing 🤣 It did look like it did, but when I tasted it, it was delicious. Maybe sprinkling some black pepper made it a little better? Let’s eat. I like Moroccan green beans, but I don’t see them very often in the supermarket 😖 I was thinking about it, so I finally found them and was so happy 🥰 The apple sauce was delicious too ♪ I like the slightly sweet and sour taste, but it seemed too sweet for my husband 🙄 His favorite foods are yakisoba, ramen, and takoyaki 🤣 Sleepy Goo-chan is starting to get a little smelly. I need to shampoo him. Shampooing is a big event! First, I brush her fur to remove any tangles. Guri hates being brushed 😢 Maybe I’m not good at it… Let’s go to the bath! Please shampoo her nicely . We ‘ll do our best. I bought a new, smaller bucket. I wonder if Guri can immerse herself in the water up to her shoulders, so I usually shampoo her on my lap and she enjoys the warm shower 🐶 The Water Ceremony Guri loves warm showers . I guess it feels good when I wash her on my lap, because she relaxes and says, “No makeup!” This bucket wasn’t suitable for Guri’s bath. It’s foldable , but it’s too soft 😖 We’ll use it for cleaning… Shampoo done! It’s time for Guri’s least favorite time. When she gets excited, she spins around, so she’ll catch a cold, so I make sure to dry her off thoroughly. She wants to get out of here right now. She’s as fast as a supercar 🚙! He’s so cute~🥰 He’s a scary boy😢 But don’t let your guard down just because he’s cute . This is a reward for your hard work with shampooing😊 He’s already early as usual😥 The snack is gone in an instant. Are you enjoying it properly? It’s time for dinner. Why is only his bottom spinning around like that? He’s very satisfied after eating his meal✌ Staying healthy every day, enjoying the smooth aftertaste… another dayGood morningI’m making breakfastI happened to buy pineapple and cream cheese and thought they would go well together, so I searched for recipes online and found this✨A really easy recipeArrange the pineapple…add as much cream cheese as you like, then drizzle with olive oil… sprinkle with black pepper and it’s done! It might seem like a bit of a lot, but it’s fruit, so it’s okay😋It ‘s delicious♪ Today I’m going to an event I’ve been looking forward to for a long time😊It ‘s a craft fair where artists gatherReady ! I cut quite a bit of my hair the other day✨Let ‘s go! There’s a line at Amamdakotan again today. My destination is the Kyoto Museum of Art. I often pass by it, but this is my first time going inside. Now I can see it, it’s a really beautiful building✨The red brick annex was designed by Tatsuno Kingo, who also designed Tokyo Station, and the former Kyoto branch of the Bank of Japan, built in 1906. This craft event was started by Taniuchi and others from the gallery shop Chise in Kitashirakawa, in such a wonderful historic location. I’ve been looking forward to this event for a while, so I’m excited! The interior is so beautiful I could look at it forever. The event is being held on the other side, where it apparently was used as a sales office when it was a bank. I’m fascinated by the luxurious, classical design and the attention to detail is impressive . I couldn’t help but get carried away💦I have to buy a ticket for the event! It was 500 yen! Let’s go! Wow!✨The building and the atmosphere of the event match perfectly! There were so many fascinating artists, I lost count of how many times I walked around the venue. There were pottery, woodwork, paintings, jewelry, and all sorts of other works lined up . They were so beautiful I couldn’t help but stare at them, entranced. The trees had such cute, mysterious shapes , and the atmosphere of the event was soft , and just being there made me feel warm and fuzzy . I explored the building as well , and the light was softly streaming in through the large windows. There was a bench, so I relaxed for a while ! There’s a fun event in October, too!🥰 I had a great time.☺️ I decided to stop by before going home. It was so beautiful, I stopped in my tracks. I passed by Rokkakudo on my way there, and it reminded me of the fact that I often come nearby, but this was my first time here . The view from the gate was so beautiful… Apparently the official name of Rokkakudo is “Shiunzan Chohoji Temple.” Each tile has the inscription Rokkakudo! 観音様連れのご参加も大歓迎です English: Since the Muromachi period, it has produced many masters of flower ikebana, and generations of Ikenobo school heads have served as chief priests . It is a power spot that is said to bring good fortune. I also made an offering . Rokkakudo is said to have been built by Prince Shotoku . Being surrounded by a majestic atmosphere made me feel relaxed and like I was being protected by something big. Many Jizo statues are enshrined facing north, known as Kitamuki Jizoson. This is said to be to protect the Kyoto Imperial Palace. In the past, it was believed that protecting the Imperial Palace meant protecting people’s lives. It is an old teaching that we should cherish. There are also real pigeons. They are used to people and don’t run away at all. I am not religious, but I think that deep down I subconsciously feel a sense of respect and cherishment for God . You can see Rokkakudo from up high. I got on the elevator nearby. Rokkakudo is shaped like a hexagon. It is said that the prayers that are placed there represent making the heart round and calm and striving for purity. I will be descending shortly 😊 (lol) I felt somehow calm and it was a great experience. Right next door? It’s well-known that you can see Rokkakudo from the nearby Starbucks. I had tea at this Starbucks the other day and had a wonderful time. You guys are so unguarded~🤭 A symbol of peace🕊️ Swans are swimming swiftly around Prince Shotoku’s temple . It’s the first time I’ve seen them this close up. They’re so graceful and beautiful. Apparently, a baby swan was born in 2018. It’s hard to believe that this is a place surrounded by buildings. I feel like the cloudiness in my heart has been cleared away. I’ll come again. It’s starting to rain a little, and the seasons are changing.
