2階建てロンドンバスで車中泊してみたら、内装が一軒家レベルだった…
Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! Right now I’m in Hakusan City, Ishikawa Prefecture. I just rode the Gran Class on the Shinkansen and arrived at Kanazawa Station, and then did a little sightseeing after that. Since it’s my very first trip in Ishikawa, I was looking for a fun place to stay and guess what— the one and only spot in Japan where you can actually stay in a London bus! When I first saw the pictures, I was like, wait… you can really stay here?! Totally blew my mind. Anyway, let’s go check in right away! Let’s sleep in a London bus! Yep, we’re doing this. London bus sleepover! By the way, I’m at a station called Komariko right now. It’s only about 30 minutes from Kanazawa Station. And from Komariko Station, it’s just a 3-minute walk to where the London bus is waiting. So excited! I wonder what the London bus will look like here. I mean, I’ve seen them before, but it’s so hard to picture one in Japan. I honestly can’t wait. So far though, there’s zero sign of a London bus… Does it really exist here? The vibe is like a super pretty countryside town. If a bus like that’s here, it should totally stand out. ※ This is nice—hardly any people around. I could sing at the top of my lungs and no one would notice. Unlimited karaoke, basically. Whoa… this is crazy! There it is—the London Bus Hotel! Look, even though everything around is so normal, this one thing totally sticks out. Honestly, it stands out more than I do. This little corner alone feels super British. And compared to Japan’s night buses, the real London bus is soooo much taller. It’s actually taller than the house next door. Like, it’s huge. And next to it, there’s even a little garden. Plus, they’ve got one of those iconic red phone booths! But this isn’t just any phone booth— turns out the inside is actually the reception desk. Okay, let’s head inside and check in! So inside, it looks like this. This is the London Bus Hotel right here. You just match the number here, and inside is the key to the bus. Alright, let’s head inside now! Open sesame! And this is what it looks like once you’re inside. Whoa… It really has a strong British vibe. Of course it’s right-hand drive, since it’s from the UK, not left-hand. I’ll take a closer look later. Ooh, a Union Jack—so cute! And if you go a little further inside, look— wow, there’s even a kitchen! Yep, a full kitchen. And over here, there’s a set of dishes. I’ll definitely check these out more later too. And as you go further back— aww, even the microwave and fridge are cute. Everything’s in matching light blue. And if you keep going even further… Wow… Here’s what it looks like all the way at the back. Wow! Fantastic! Not a returnee kid… a returnee drinker, haha. So it looks like they took out all the original bus seats, and replaced them like this. Now it feels kind of like a dining room. Here’s what it feels like actually sitting here. Ah… this shaking isn’t the bus— it’s just me wobbling on my own (?) lol On the other side there’s even a TV, and an air purifier too. So cool… Look at this! There’s proper AC on the back glass, and tons of London bus decorations, it’s super cute. Oh look, even Wi-Fi! How thoughtful. Whoa, that London bus model is awesome! This is what the actual seats looked like. Totally different from the bus I’m staying in now. ※Way bigger than a camper van—you could easily live here. This is so fun! And if you open the door in the middle of the bus— yep, it’s a bathroom. Cute! The wallpaper is hilarious. It’s like a Where’s Waldo design. The sink is literally a drum can! Such a creative remake. Alright, let’s check if the water actually works. Perfect! What’s this door on the opposite side of the toilet, I wonder? I mean, there’s no way there’s a full bathroom inside a bus, right? Hmm… let’s open it and see. No way—it’s a shower room! And it’s actually pretty spacious, super clean, and looks easy to use. They’ve even got shampoo, conditioner, and body soap ready. This is wild… can’t believe it’s inside a bus. This bus is honestly amazing. And of course, since it’s a London bus— it comes with a staircase too! Which means… yup, you can go upstairs. Whoa, those stairs are kinda steep… Alright, let’s go up! ※?! And once you’re upstairs— it’s crazy spacious! Isn’t this amazing? Look at this, it’s huge! I turned the lights on— can you see how massive this is? Let me show you with my body for scale. Here we go— Whoa, it’s sooo big! Now I seriously wanna live in a bus. This place is bigger than my apartment. And it’s got AC too, so it’s nice and cool— super comfy! Looks like it can fit four people. But since it’s just me— I’ll just lie down and sleep tonight. ※Yeah, nobody’s sleeping standing up anyway. Oh, and they even included amenities. A big bath towel, a smaller towel, and a toothbrush. This is just way too comfortable. I could totally live here. When I booked it, I had no idea it’d be this big. Totally shocked! So the first floor is like the living space, and the second floor is the bedroom area, right? That’s seriously awesome! Basically a detached house on wheels (?) Kinda wanna park this at my parents’ place. Here’s what the front part of the second floor looks like. These two seats probably weren’t remodeled— they look like the original ones left as-is. And sitting down here, it feels like— the cushions are actually pretty soft and fluffy. Super comfy to sit on. It says “Bus stopping” right here. I wonder if this stop button still lights up? Hmm… nope, doesn’t work. Okay, I’m back on the first floor. Now for the moment we’ve all been waiting for— let’s check out the driver’s seat! Here we go—sneaking in. Excuse meee! ※Yep, the driver’s seat always gets me hyped. Whoa! Sitting here really makes me feel like— I’m an actual bus driver. Here’s what the steering area looks like. Honestly, it’s so complicated, I don’t get it at all. This one says “door,” so— maybe it’s for opening and closing the doors? The steering wheel is huge! Bus drivers must have serious skills turning this thing. Reverse, Neutral, Drive, 2nd, 1st— the gear shift is actually buttons like this. There’s no power running now, so— basically I can push all the buttons I want. It’s foreign-made, but— I kinda feel like I could figure it out. Feels like I could actually drive it (…yeah, no). 【If I Were a London Bus Driver】 This bus departs Ishikawa and heads all the way to the UK. Since we’ll be crossing the ocean, there’s a chance of getting wet, so— please keep that in mind. You’ll also get a chance to enjoy underwater views from the windows, but— please, whatever you do, don’t open them. The fare is 8.15 million pounds. (About $10.6 million!) If you don’t have it— you might get tossed into the sea, so— please prepare in advance. Now, please enjoy your lovely London bus journey! Something like that. 😂 Okay, run!! Time for a quick bed test. I mean, I’m still exploring, but— let’s just give it a try. Not bad at all. Actually feels pretty good. Oh no… I totally passed out. The 6 PM chime just rang, and that’s what woke me up. Now that I’m awake, I’m starving, so— time to go grab some dinner. I decided to eat here tonight. Hachiban Ramen! Here’s the menu— they’ve got miso ramen, shio ramen, shoyu ramen, and even a butter-flavored one. That butter one is calling my name. Doesn’t this touch panel look kinda like Hidaka-ya’s? ※Busted—I go to Hidaka-ya like three times a week. So apparently, Hachiban Ramen was founded in 1967, with their very first shop opening along Route 8 in Kaga City, Ishikawa. That’s why it’s called Hachiban, after Route 8. They’ve expanded to over 100 shops mainly in Hokuriku, and it’s a super popular chain. And get this—they’ve even gone overseas! They’ve got shops in Thailand and China too. Their most popular dish is the veggie ramen. So yeah, I’m going with veggie ramen. And here comes the ramen! I got the butter-flavored one. Look—it’s got an “8” on top. So cute! I actually love the number 8, so this makes me happy. And I ordered the gyoza set too. 123456 pieces lol Yesss! Alright, let’s dig in. ※?! ~Refueling~ Wait wait… this isn’t what it looks like… Ever since Papa Clipper came back, people keep saying I don’t drink as much in my videos. ※So yeah, I got complaints… had to tone it down. But hey, this ramen’s packed with veggies, so it doesn’t even feel that guilty. Okay, let’s eat! Delicious. Seriously delicious. Why is Hachiban so good?? The flavor’s light and super easy to eat. ※The butter makes it rich but not heavy—perfect◎ Since I only had breakfast on the Shinkansen today, I was totally starving, so— this tastes even more amazing. This Hachiban Ramen Mikawa Interchange shop— I got here from Komariko Station, just two stops away. I took the IR Ishikawa Railway, rode two stops, and then walked about 30 minutes. It was sooo far. By car, from the London bus hotel earlier, it would’ve only taken around 9 minutes. But by train, it took me about 40 minutes. I was torn between coming by car or Shinkansen, really debated over it. But then I realized I’d never ridden the Kagayaki Shinkansen, so I chose the train this time. But leaving Papa Clipper behind— I felt kinda guilty. He’s probably sad right now. Maybe I should’ve brought him along. () How long would it take to drive from here to Tokyo? Maybe like 5 or 6 hours? That’s actually not too bad. ※I’ve driven long distances so much that my sense of time is broken. Six hours is just a quarter of a day. Yeah, that actually feels doable… Anyway, let’s enter full-on feast mode! This is honestly the happiest time of the day. The gyoza’s amazing too. Juicy, packed with flavor, so delicious. So good. Ramen just hits different when you haven’t had it in a while. It’s been like two days for me. Yikes… this butter ramen is insane. Too good to handle. Wait—I want to drink the butter AND a beer. Ahh, which one should I pick? I’m literally panicking… butter-panic. ※The chosen one was… draft beer. That was so good. Thanks for the meal! It was way too tasty—I finished every bite. Seriously, what’s Hachiban’s secret? After finishing my ramen, I came back to the London bus. That was honestly amazing. I wish we had a Hachiban Ramen near my hometown. And of course, after ramen comes this— Late-night snack time. Food always tastes the best when you’re snacking in your hotel on a trip. Alright then… cheers! ~Refueling (Round 2)~ Wait, no, it’s not what it looks like… I got a little too hype just because it’s a British bus. I went and bought a tallboy today. Okay, let me tell you a bit about this bus hotel. I booked it for one night at ¥11,200 (about $75), and I reserved it through a site called Airbnb. They imported a real London bus from the UK and remodeled it so you can stay comfortably inside. Apparently it’s Japan’s first and only London bus hotel. Like I mentioned earlier, it’s fully equipped with AC, a toilet, sink, shower, TV— basically everything you need for a comfy stay. There’s even a phone booth out front, so the British vibe is on point. I’ve actually been to London before, and I rode a real London bus back then too. I heard this one actually ran in London as well. But it feels older than the one I rode— maybe it’s an earlier model. Looks like this bus is a Leyland Olympian, mass-introduced in the UK in the 1980s–90s. Once I decided to travel around Ishikawa, I searched a bunch of different places to stay— hot spring inns, budget spots, all kinds of options. But this London bus totally grabbed my attention, and the price—¥11,200 (about $75)— felt pretty reasonable for such a unique experience. So I went for it. Earlier the owner actually came by the bus just to say hello. They told me to call if I need anything, not that I really had any issues— but I wanted to ask a million questions. Like how they brought this bus over from London, and why they decided to turn it into a hotel. I wanted to ask… but I couldn’t bring myself to. ※Socially awkward me struggles at times like this. I’ve stayed at similar quirky places like trailer houses, and even a route-bus hotel before. I just get drawn to fun, unusual stays like these. It’s so cool when just staying there is an experience. When I look back later, I can be like “Oh yeah, I went there in Ishikawa,” and it really sticks. I love that so much. If there’s a fun place like this in your hometown, please tell me in the comments! I’ll probably get sucked in and go stay there too. Since I’m here, should we try the TV? I wonder if it gets any channels… Oh wow, it works perfectly—didn’t expect that. I thought it might stutter a bit, but the picture is super clear. Amazing. I passed by here on the way, and if you open the curtain, it’s literally right by the road. It’s not like there aren’t cars passing, but the noise doesn’t bother me at all. It’s actually really quiet and cozy. I thought this place was so cool I looked it up earlier, and apparently in this condition, a bus like this would cost at least ¥15,000,000 (about $100,000). All I wanted was to save on rent… ※My dream of living in a London bus just went *poof*. But still, this bus, after running around London, came all the way to Japan for its retirement, never thought that would happen. Respect, buddy. It’s getting pretty late now, so— I’m gonna go take a bath. Oh, I just found out earlier— apparently *Where’s Waldo?* actually originated in the UK! So maybe I’ll find Waldo before hopping in the bath. Yikes… might end up staying up till morning. Anyway, I’m off to the bath. Bye-bye! Just got out of the bath and did a bit of editing. But now I’m super sleepy, so I’ll head to bed. Good night, everyone. Good morning! I woke up, took another bath, and even did my makeup. It’s so spacious here, AC’s working great, and I slept super comfortably. I went for a little walk this morning, and— a car that passed by actually U-turned back just to take a picture of this London bus. Guess it really is rare. Anyway, time to go make breakfast! Look at this— the weather’s gorgeous today. Here’s the view outside. That red phone booth is just perfect, right? Different design from Japanese pay phones, super cute. Okay, welcome back to Yuuka’s Kitchen! Today’s breakfast is— French toast and waffles. I was thinking, what counts as a British breakfast? I thought about it a lot, but— this one’s French toast, so French. This one’s a Belgian waffle, so Belgian. Technically not British at all… but doesn’t it kinda feel British anyway? While I’m waiting, I’ll boil some water with the kettle. I bought Earl Grey & Orange tea. Looked it up and apparently British people love tea, so tea it is. ※Boiling the water and hyping up the audience at the same time. All warmed up. All done! Time for the final toppings. Roast ham. Do I even need to tear this up? Alright, okay! Alright, let’s eat. The French toast is sweet and the ham is salty— such a perfect balance. ※So good it’s hard to believe I made it. But since we’re inside a bus, the ceiling’s pretty low. Since yesterday, living here—the ceiling, or rather, I’ve been smacking my head on this handrail like crazy, like twenty times. My head might have a dent now. If it were just 10 cm higher, I wouldn’t hit it, but it barely grazes my head—that part’s a bit inconvenient, and ouch. The shower pressure was solid and the hot water worked fine, so I could properly wash—really nice. I thought since it’s inside a bus, the pressure might be weak, but nope—nice and strong! Also, you know the *Where’s Waldo?* wallpaper by the sink? I swore I’d find Waldo before checking out, like, mission accepted— but I got all fired up and then found him way too fast, so that kinda fizzled. If you ate this set in the UK, it would cost a good bit, right? When I traveled to the UK before, the pound was super expensive, even pricier than the dollar, so it was rough. So back then, if I’d ordered this set, I feel like it would’ve run about ¥5,000 (around $33), but today’s cost me like ¥500 (about $3.30), which is insanely good value. Honestly, eating breakfast on a London bus in Japan— this is the best way to do it. When I went to the UK before, I visited a place called Buckingham Palace, and on the way there I saw a squirrel. An older man was feeding it acorns, and I was watching, kinda jealous, so he shared some acorns with me, and I fed the squirrel right from my hand. It was ridiculously cute. But I took too many of the man’s acorns— yeah, I definitely got a little too greedy. Thanks for the meal! It’s almost checkout time, so I’m gonna start tidying up. Thank you for riding with us. We’ll be arriving in London shortly. Did you all enjoy your ride on the Yuuka Bus? We look forward to seeing you again. As we arrive, just a reminder— there are still passengers who haven’t paid their fare. Please make sure to pay before getting off. So, I stayed at the London Bus Hotel in Ishikawa. And wow, it was so much fun! I just love staying at quirky hotels like this, so if you’ve got an adventurous spirit, I totally recommend it. The first floor is a living space, and the second floor is for sleeping. It honestly felt like staying in a giant camper van, and it was super cool. The upstairs bed was sooo huge— that alone was like the best thing ever for me. I swear you could roll over ten times up there. I’d love to come back and stay again someday. Thanks so much for watching today too! If you liked this video, please subscribe, give it a thumbs-up, and leave a comment. Alright then—bye-bye!

In my home town, there is a British pub that has a double-decker bus like this London Bus. It is a bit older, probably from the late 50s or early 60s. My home town is a college town, and the pub was a few miles from the University. In the weekends, they would drive the bus to the college and pick up people that wanted to go to the pub. The problem was that drivers would make a mistake on the route and try to drive the bus under a low bridge, which would turn it into an open-air bus. After that happened a couple times, I think they stopped driving the bus. Actually, now that I am thinking about it, I think they sold the bus a few years bask and got a British taxi car instead. I don't know that they drive that, but I remember seeing it outside. I was only in that Pub once.
There are a few double decker buses in the US that have been turned into hotels like this. There is so much room in them that it isn't erally surprising, but I haven't looked into it.
Thanks for taking us along for your stay. It is really interesting to see the Japan outside of the main tourist spots. This neighborhood looks like it would be a nice place to live, and the Londonbus Hotel looks like a cool place to stay. I don't know I'll ever make is to that area of Japan, so really happy to see it through your travels.
