【納車㊗️】2台目の車はマニュアル車🏎️果たして帰れるのか⁉️【COPEN GR SPORT】
Yuki Yomichi—just bought my second car! Here it is. Hey, seriously, don’t cut this—this isn’t a joke. How’s my MT driving? Do I look decent? Feels good. Watch out on the night roads. It’s Yuki Yomichi. As the title says, I bought my second car. Here it is—the GR Copen. Isn’t it super cool and cute? I even got my license upgrade so I can drive MT. Can’t wait to enjoy this car. Today I’ll show the GR Copen and also take it for a drive—stick around! Why the GR Copen? Well, I started with MT bikes, so I wanted an MT car too. I’ve always loved open cars and sporty types. Before this, I drove a small but fast BMW 2 Series coupe—4 seats, 2 doors. But honestly, I didn’t need something that big. Usually it’s just me plus a parent or manager, and I don’t carry much luggage. So I wanted something smaller—hence this second car. It’s brand new, but I’ve already put on some miles. Still, I’m really enjoying it. Alright, let’s get into the intro. The GR Copen was born from Daihatsu’s wish to boost Copen’s sporty side, and Toyota’s aim to add an entry GR model—a unique collab. Toyota’s top GR drivers gave feedback on the handling. With the GR badge, it shares both looks and driving feel with other GR cars. That badge alone gives me real pride of ownership—I love it. Now, let’s check the engine. Normally the bonnet release is on the driver’s side, right? But on the Copen, it’s here—pull this lever to pop the hood. Ow, hot, hot, hot! Engine: 660cc inline-3 turbo, 64hp, 92Nm torque. Sounds weak as a kei car? But it only weighs ~850kg. Light body + turbo = super lively and fun. Let’s check the fuel economy. Takes regular gas, 30L tank. Surprisingly good mileage for a light sports car. WLTC: 19.2km/L. With 30L, range is ~576km. But with MT, fuel depends a lot on skill. I’ll practice so I can handle night roads too. Next, let’s check the muffler. I customized it. It’s a ROSSO MODELLO muffler. Deeper sound than stock—Copen lets in outside noise, but this exhaust and engine note hit my body and ears—so cool. Love that deep tone—listen! It’s street-legal, so no worries. Looks perfect with the black body too. I love both the look and the sound. Alright, let’s hear it! Now, body size. Length 3395mm, width 1475mm, height 1280mm, wheelbase 2230mm, turning radius 4.6m—pocket-size sports car. Even for a kei, that low stance gives it real sports appeal. Sports cars seem hard to handle, right? But the Copen’s compact size makes it easy for daily use and weekend fun. Now let’s check the design. It’s supervised by Toyota GR. Front: the wide mesh grille—GR exclusive. Horizontal bumper makes it look wider—like a mini GR Supra, very cool. Side: sleek flowing silhouette. Classic sports car profile. Now, the wheels. 17-inch forged BBS alloys—GR parts. Light, strong, sharp look—super cool. Next, the tires. 165/50R16—narrow but plenty of grip for this size. Suspension is GR-tuned too. Balanced—comfort and stability together. Alright, let’s check the interior. Ta-da, here it is. First up, the RECARO—ouch. Well, that’s a sports car for you. The standout is the RECARO racing seats. Super comfy, GR-exclusive—looks great. With GR logos that really boost pride of ownership. Steering is a MOMO wheel, also GR part. Looks awesome—let’s start the engine. Triple-gauge cluster—driver-focused, looks so cool. Shift knob and A/C panel—simple and sporty. It has that GR special feel. Layout is simple, intuitive—great for driving focus. One thing—the hazard button is huge! And the window switches aren’t on the doors—they’re here. This switch opens the top, and it has seat heaters too. So even top-down in winter, it’s super comfy. Now, let’s check the trunk space. Think the GR Copen has no trunk space? Surprisingly, it does. It’s double the Miata’s—243L total. Looks like it could fit two golf bags. So… I’ll climb in myself. Excuse me. Wow, plenty of room. If I lie down, I could actually fit in here. Hey, seriously, don’t close it—no joke. Kinda scary. But yeah, easy fit. Alright, let’s go. We’re rolling—still shaky on clutch work, bear with me. When I got my MT license lifted, the instructor praised me—asked what I do. I said YouTube. He asked for my channel name—“Yuki Yomichi”—said he’d subscribe. Wonder if he really did. Instructor, are you subscribed? If not, I won’t forgive you. It’s evening—super bright out. I love the feel of shifting MT. It feels safer too—on a bike, stall and you tip over instantly. But in a car, no tip-over. That’s a real relief. That’s what I love about cars. So, how’s my MT driving? Looks alright? Someday I wanna drop the top and show off. Okay, time for open-top mode. Oh no, kinda embarrassing. To open: gear in neutral, handbrake up. Press this button—and it opens. Do the same here, then press this switch—wow. It transforms like this. Alright, let’s feel the wind. So good. Pretty lively, you can hear it. Strange—most women’s hair blows back in a roadster, but mine doesn’t. But mine blows forward—why is that? Still, open-top feels amazing. I did a Miata video before—being open, feeling the wind, all eyes on you—it’s the best. Though the Miata was easier to open. With the Copen, if there’s stuff in the trunk, the top won’t open. Takes some getting used to. More precise: there’s a divider in the trunk—if it’s in place, you can’t load much or open the top. But hey, open-car people don’t really care about cargo space, right? Honestly I’d love to go faster, but city driving is good MT practice—so it’s fine. And with the wind like this, the crazy heat outside doesn’t even bother me. When I filmed earlier intros, I was sweaty in the heat—but now it’s comfortable. One thing—since the Copen is small, most don’t move the seat much, but I’m short, so I get this big gap here. Even in the tiny Copen, I’ve got room—being small has perks. I can fit both small and big cars. Small and light is the best. Nice when small people can shine. With bikes it’s the opposite—short riders are limited. Got stared at. That scooter guy really stared—everyone does. Yeah, guys always look. Guess they’re car lovers. Alright, let’s try the Shuto Expressway. Wow, but it’s packed. Wanted crazy wind-in-hair shots, but nope, crawling traffic. So next video: driving the GR Copen on the Shuto. I’ll keep posting more GR Copen videos—stay tuned. So, how was my new partner, the GR Copen? It’s new, but already a favorite. I’ll get better at MT and take it everywhere for more videos. If you’re interested, please subscribe and wait for the next one. That’s it for today’s video. I, Yuki Yomichi, will go have more fun with my GR Copen. Alright guys, go to bed. This was Yuki Yomichi—see ya. Watch the next video too. You better subscribe to the channel.
