When I auditioned, I read the script for the first time and I was like, “Oh, this is going to be good.” I always wanted to be in like a horror apocalypse kind of film. Okay, guys. Then I got this through and I was like, I have to nail this one. I’ve got to get this one. Alfie had no real experience of a big shoot like this. But he’s a fantastic actor. Really good. I’m thinking, “Oh my god, this is one of the first things you’re stepping into.” But I think he’s just like eating it up and having the best time. He puts his heart and soul into a performance and I think he’s just fasttracking his way into an incredible acting career. It’s been amazing. They’re brilliant actors and it’s been great working with Danny and then the infected. There’s been so many scenes getting chased by them. Sometimes it’s been funny, but sometimes it’s been terrifying. But it’s all been great. I’ve loved it.

【あらすじ】
バイオ兵器研究所からレイジウイルスが漏れ出してから、まもなく30年。今なお過酷な隔離体制が敷かれるなか、人々は感染者の中で生き延びる術を見出していた。ある生存者グループは、本土と一本の厳重に防衛された陸橋でつながる小さな島で暮らしている。その島から一人の男が、本土の“暗黒の中心”へと任務のために旅立つ。そして彼がそこで目にしたのは、感染者だけでなく、他の生存者たちさえも変異させた恐怖と驚異、そして隠された真実だった。
