乃木坂46初見のボイストレーナーがTHE FIRST TAKEの天才すぎる2人の歌声を徹底分析!

This is voice trainer Tsuru. How are you all doing? This video is the first take of Nogizaka46’s “Kimi no Na wa Kibou.” I’d like to analyze their vocals by watching it. This is Tsuru’s Vocal Room. This time, I’ll be doing my first vocal analysis of a Nogizaka46 song. For a while now, there’s been a lot of buzz on social media, among professional voice trainers, and among professional vocalists, about Nogizaka46 member Nakanishi Aluno’s voice being considered genius-level . So, I’ve been feeling a bit uneasy about this, and I’m sorry to the fans, but I’ve never listened to a Nogizaka46 song until now, so I thought this would be a good time to analyze their vocals. So, I analyzed their vocals , and wow, they’re truly geniuses. First of all, both of their voices are incredibly beautiful. And the high level of fundamental singing ability that perfectly supports their amazing vocals is something that really impressed me. And they’re both incredibly cute. Because of that, I’m excited to analyze vocals more carefully and meticulously than anyone else, so please stay tuned until the end of the video. I also hope to continue releasing vocal analysis videos of Nogizaka46’s songs on a regular basis. So, fans, if you have any recommended songs, please let me know in the comments . Tell me things like, “This song is great,” “This part of this song has an irresistible voice,” or “This part is super cute,” and I’d love to hear them. Tsu’s Vocal Room. This channel primarily features reaction videos and vocal analysis videos that share my current interest in artists from a vocal trainer’s perspective . If you’re interested in what I’ve said, please subscribe and like. Now, let’s get started with Nogizaka46 ‘s “Kimi no Na wa Kibou.” Let’s begin the vocal analysis. The first time I noticed you was when you said , “Yes.” You have an incredible voice. This is what they call an angelic voice. Now, to explain Nakanishi’s voice, there are three main resonance points that make a voice resonate: the resonance in the lungs, the air resonance in the mouth, and the air resonance in the nose. The overall quality of your voice is determined by how you blend these three resonances together in your singing . In Nakanishi’s case, it’s the air resonance in your mouth and the air resonance in your nose. I think these two are the core of your singing voice. Air resonance is what makes each word clear and controls the volume of your voice by changing the size of your mouth. The air resonance in your nose controls the tone of your voice and is also important when singing higher notes. Between your mouth and your nose, I think your nose contributes more to the voice’s resonance. Let’s listen to it again, and see if it adds a touch of nasal nuance to your singing. The first time I noticed you was… Yeah. It makes me grin. Such a great voice. As for the volume of your voice, I think you keep it pretty low. I’m sure you all know this, but when you increase the volume of your voice, it becomes more powerful, and when you tone it down, it creates a more sustained atmosphere. I suspect Nakanishi ‘s key point here is that he sings in a way that expresses a vibrant atmosphere . Moving on. Last June, when he changed into his summer clothes. What an incredible voice. I think it’s truly a genius voice. He uses the airy sound of his mouth, so the contours of each word are very clear. The lyrics are incredibly easy to hear. Let ‘s listen to it again. Last June, when he changed into his summer clothes. Yeah. So, while it’s subtle overall, he achieves a nuance of slightly cutting each note. This is called a staccato, and while the staccato creates a relaxed atmosphere, it gives the phrase a slightly catchy feel. This contributes to the overall phrase’s pleasant dynamic. Moving on. If you ignore that, hmm… Inoue’s voice is both cute and mature. They both have amazing voices. Inoue ‘s vocal technique relies on the lung’s inner resonance and the nasal nasal resonance. I think it’s centered around these two. The inner resonance in the lungs controls the thickness and fullness of the voice. The more the chest resonance is incorporated into the voice, the more mature it becomes. Let’s listen to it again . It’s done. It would be great if you ignored it . And her singing voice, too, somehow feels elegant. I think her pronunciation of the words is incredibly careful, and the tone of her voice is very sparkling and elegant. Let’s move on. She was waiting for me to pick up the line. Amazing. There was a moment in the falsetto where she sang with a soft, soft, almost hushed voice , and I used the whisper voice technique to mix in the sound of her breath . The use of whisper voice in the falsetto further emphasizes this atmosphere . Let’s listen again. I was watching . There was a little bit of vibrato at the end, right? This subtle type of vibrato. It’s a type of vibrato called chilimen vibrato. Wow, that’s amazing. Let’s move on. They called him a human . The nasal quality of his voice when he reaches that high note is insane. So, how is he using his voice here? He said earlier that shoes and flowers were the main themes , but he made the majority of his voice nasal. The closer the voice is to his head, the more brilliant the ne color emerges. This ne color is called head voice, and that was the point where he used that head voice in his singing. Let’s listen again. He called him a human there. Hmm. That’s good. Around the part where he was being called, he used the head voice I mentioned earlier. If you close your eyes and listen, you can just imagine a sparkling light coming to your mind. It’s wonderful. Moving on to the next part. “You noticed my presence.” Oh, that’s nice. The overall feel is really warm, doesn’t it? Inoue’s voice just now is a little different from Nakanishi’s; he doesn’t use head voice. Not using it doesn’t create a sparkling atmosphere, but I think that’s what makes the overall voice feel so warm and gentle . Let’s listen to it again. “You noticed my presence.” Yeah. Gentle. Amazing. So, is this where the flow of the song really begins? Here we go. Light shining through the gaps in the hot clouds. Yeah. So we’re back here. The melody is also really beautiful. I really think the word “beautiful” suits this song in every way. And in the second half, even though the note is incredibly low, the voice, or rather the lyrics, are easy to hear . The technique I use here is to put more of my voice into the nose the lower the register. The lower the register, the muffled the voice becomes. It sounds like it’s muffled. The higher the register, the better the voice carries, but it also has a harsh quality. However, these two resonances aren’t ideal for singing. It makes the voice sound dull and difficult for the listener to hear, so as the register gets lower, the harsh quality decreases, resulting in a muffled sound . So adding a harsh tone to that sound makes it easier to listen to. When I mentioned earlier that Nakanishi put more of his voice into the nose, I was actually adding a harsh quality to the lower register. Let’s listen to this again. He added a rough sound at the beginning, like a ray of light shining through the gaps of something hot, like the first hot clouds. This is a technique called edge voice. There’s a period called a virtual body here, and you use this to make this sound before singing. It has a very sad atmosphere and is well worth listening to. Let’s move on to the next part. I have a proper shadow on me above the crown. Yes. And Naka-san doesn’t open his mouth much. I think this creates a unique and one-of-a-kind atmosphere in a good way. I think that the emotion in your facial expression is directly reflected in your voice. If you sing with a bright face, your voice will sound bright and sad, and if you sing with a sad face, your voice will sound sad and sad . But here, Nakanishi sings with a face that’s almost expressionless. I think this actually creates an atmosphere that paints a strong image in the listener’s mind. Let’s listen to it again. There’s a clear shadow of me above the crowd. It’s amazing. I really love Nakanishi’s voice. Let’s move on. I got used to this guy at some point, but … Inoue’s voice is very persuasive, isn’t it? It really conveys the worldview of the lyrics. No, it’s a wonderful charm. Let’s listen to it again. Listening to it now, I thought that the way he pronounces the words in “I got used to this one day, but somehow it’s closer to conversation.” There are points where he releases the power of his voice, like “I got used to loneliness at some point, but… ” It’s a short phrase, but the way the volume rises and falls—the way it builds up when it needs to and slows down when it needs to— is what makes the singing so persuasive, I think. Moving on. “This world I rejected is beautiful. ” Hmm. It’s wonderful. And the key point this time is how clearly the words are sung. It’s like he’s putting emotion into the line, “This world I rejected is beautiful.” Let’s listen to it again. “This world I rejected is beautiful.” It’s perfect, both of them. Moving on. It’s amazing how much I miss someone . Wow, the harmony is so beautiful. It feels like Nakanishi sings the main melody and Inoue sings the undertones. They can create such beautiful harmonies. It’s amazing. And I just noticed something: the way Nakanishi uses the space inside his mouth. He uses his mouth in a way that opens up the back of his throat a little, like this. It’s like her singing style incorporates a bit of classical or operatic techniques. Let’s listen to it again. It’s amazing how much I miss someone. Yeah. I think the falsetto parts are especially easy to understand. Moving on. A future I can’t even imagine … Hmm. I’ll stop here for now. Honestly, what a beautiful voice. Nakanishi-san. Inoue-san is currently in charge of harmonies, so when Inoue-san’s main part comes, I’ll let Inoue-san provide the main commentary. As I explained earlier , Nakanishi-san is incredibly skilled at using head voice. The more head voice you use, the more dazzling the atmosphere becomes, so I think her voice would be even more beautiful if she sang in a higher register. Moving on. It’s almost like I’m forgetting that “Aitsu wa Anata tokimeki to Encounter” is a vocal analysis. It’s a wonderful voice, and not only is it wonderful overall, but her sense of rhythm is also amazing. I think it’s a solid rhythm, like the notes have to fit in exactly where they are. Let’s listen to it again. The future is always filled with excitement and encounters. It’s mesmerizing. They’re both so cute, as expected. Moving on. I just found out your name. Seriously, it’s the best. It’s so soothing. There’s a lot of my naio in the vocals. Moving on. From a distant place, on purpose. Yeah. So, in I’s vocals, there’s a pretty strong stack-out in the first part. The background melody, like a drum coming in, was a great way to play. The way he sang also matched the rhythm of the vocals to that. Let’s listen to it again. From a distant place, on purpose. Perfect rhythm. Both of them have a really cool rhythm, after all. Saying that their sense of rhythm is cool might not be an easy way to express it, but in my opinion, what makes a song cool is the sense of rhythm rather than choreography. No matter how cool a voice is, if their sense of rhythm is bad, it won’t sound cool. Conversely, even if their vocal technique isn’t that great, if their sense of rhythm is perfect, the song will sound cool. That’s how much of a role rhythm plays in closing a song. So, while Inoue and Nakanishi both have incredibly captivating voices, their sense of rhythm is equally amazing, which is why they’ve been able to sing such amazing songs. Moving on to the next part… I saw them when they were singing… Yeah. Their pronunciation is absolutely beautiful. There are quite a few singers who can’t understand the lyrics, right? Even if you close your eyes and listen to the song without looking at the lyrics, you can still hear every word. This is incredible. Words don’t sound clear unless you carefully distinguish between the vowels and the pronunciation, so it’s actually quite amazing. Let’s listen to it again. But sometimes I lose sight of that figure, and it feels like she’s singing with an emphasis on silence. I feel like the “work” aspect is particularly prominent. Moving on. 24 Hours, Heart, yeah. What a great voice. While Inoue’s singing style emphasizes rhythm, Nakanishi sings in a more legato style, connecting each note and letting it flow slowly. Let’s listen to it again . 24 Hours, Heart, really does have a relaxed, flowing atmosphere, doesn’t it? Moving on. I can’t live alone. Hmm. I can see why vocalists and various voice trainers are geniuses. Earlier, you said it was an angel’s singing voice, but it has a mystical atmosphere, so much so that it could be called the voice of God. Moving on. Oh, that’s good. Yeah. Inoue chose a slightly sad voice here, and her facial expression seems a little sad. I think I explained this earlier, but emotions expressed through facial expressions tend to carry through the voice, and this is the key to using that effectively in the song. Let’s listen to it again . Better than . Yes. And in the first half, when he sings “Years of Loneliness,” he uses a slight misper voice. Wow, that’s just amazing. Let’s move on. I felt the happiness of love. Yes. And here, Nakanishi’s voice is really powerful. He’s singing with more energy for the first time. Inoue gradually increased the momentum, then passed the singing baton to Nakanishi, who then switched to a more exciting expression. What great teamwork. Let’s listen to it again. I felt the happiness of love. Yes. And the way he uses his voice has also changed a little. Up until now, he’s used a nasal voice in “Kutsu to Hana” and “Kutsu to Hana,” but here, he switches to a singing style centered around the resonance of Kyomei and the resonance of Ozora Resonance to add power to his voice . No, their control over the sound of their voices is incredible. Moving on. “People are taking refuge.” Hmm. This must be the A-melody. I really love this melody. It’s a very memorable and beautiful melody. Moving on. “No one will tell me the meaning of life.” Hmm. What a beautiful voice. And, at this point, I think Inoue changed the way he produces his voice a little. It felt like he was focusing more on his nose and mouth. Overall, I think he’s switched from a more mature, more esoteric style to a more cute one. Let’s listen to it again. “No one will tell me the meaning of life.” Hmm. Cute. So cute. Honestly, both of them have incredible vocal expressiveness. Moving on. Shot by the rain of sadness, I looked at my feet. Yeah. Just now, Nakanishi used some incredible technique, but here, in “Shot by the rain of sadness,” he uses some very detailed phrasing. How to do this is to lower the note while using a finely oscillating vibrato called a chirimen vibrato. This way, the contours of the warmth appear where the note is oscillating. This is a very difficult technique. It’s amazing. It’s like, “Let’s listen to it again .” Like that. Wow, it’s amazing. R&BK vocalists use this technique to sing falsettos, but I think Nakanishi could sing R&B too, if he can do this. Let’s move on to the next topic. Tsuchi’s son , yes. Yeah. The falsetto only comes out for a moment, but he’s incredibly skilled at using head voice, and his falsetto is incredibly beautiful. Let’s listen to it again. Tsuchi’s certainly. Perfect. So wonderful. Here we go. It’s so heartbreaking. It’s there. I wonder if Nakanishi is the main voice in the second verse, too. That’s what it sounded like to me. But the teamwork between these two is just incredible. Harmony is really difficult. Of course, it’s hard for the harmonizer to get the notes right, and it has to be in line with the main melody. You might think this is obvious, but singing is a living thing, so there ‘s no guarantee that you’ll sing the rhythm correctly 100 times . For example, a person might unconsciously hold back a little on rhythm due to their own habits. When that happens, the rhythm ends up being off. It’s obvious right away that you messed up. So when someone makes a mistake, they’re accused of singing the harmonies wrong, even if they’re singing with the right notes and rhythm. That ‘s why harmonizing is so difficult. That said, the main melody isn’t easy at all. The person being harmonized feels like they have to sing the melody properly while still being easily distracted by the notes. So, no matter which part of the harmony you choose, the difficulty level rises dramatically . Let’s listen to it again. It’s so moving. Yes. It’s wonderful. It’s truly captivating. Let’s move on. It sparkles and shines. Yes. I’ll stop here for now. And they’re even singing in unison. A breath is the timing of a transition. When I find these moments, it seems like two geniuses are singing casually, but I realize they must have practiced a lot beforehand. The more genius they are, the more effort they put in. It’s so satisfying when I find these moments where you can see the effort behind them . Let’s listen to it again. It’s sparkling and shining. It feels like they’re sparkling and shining. After the “shine,” they both take a breath. Let’s move on. It’s the same, our feet are moving forward. As expected, both of them are singing with more power in their voices than they did in the first verse , so the grand atmosphere is irresistible. I feel a sense of orchestral grandeur. Let’s move on. In “Your Name , ” the two of them have synchronized the timing of the transitions perfectly so far . Wow, that’s amazing. Let’s move on. “If You’re Not My Turn,” yes . Inoue’s high-pitched voice is so cute. I think it’s like a cute voice actor’s. It’s a beautiful neko color, too. Let’s listen to it again. The voice around “Even if you don’t look back, even if you don’t look back” is so cute, isn’t it? It really makes my heart flutter. Let’s move on. I’ll never forget that voice. Yes. For now, they’re using a technique called crescendo, which gradually builds up the excitement. It’s a technique of gradually increasing the energy, gradually building up the excitement, so let’s listen to it again. I’ll never forget that. Look, look, look. It feels like the energy really starts to rise from around me. Let’s move on to the next part. You’re there even at times like that. Yeah. Nakanishi sings as if he’s maintaining the same energy overall. This technique is also very difficult. Energy usually gets louder as the range goes up and quieter as the range goes down, so you need to use your body or voice in a way that puts a limiter on it somewhere , and that ‘s what he does. Let’s listen to it again. You’re there even at times like that. Hmm . Good. Your technique really shines. Let’s move on to the next part. Believe. Walk straight. Hmm. Ah, this is where the rust starts. I see. So, you added a little crescendo to that last long tone just now. Like Yuko. Just a little, though. But this slight increase in energy creates the momentum for the next chord. Let’s listen to it again. Believe and walk immediately, like Yuko. It’s just a moment at the end, but the energy increases just a little. This subtle melody is amazing. Okay, let’s move on. You don’t understand anything. Not even about yourself. This part is unison. Unison is when two people sing the same melody together, and it was an incredibly beautiful voice. Let’s move on . Let’s hear the cry of truth. Ah, I see. I wonder if the final big part will continue in unison. When it gets to this point, I’m curious to see what happens next. Here we go. Ah , I see. I’ll stop here. I think it’s probably the beginning of the song. The “Tencho” after the “Tencho” part is the final big part, and the key rises like this. This is called “Tencho.” All at once, the atmosphere becomes exciting and sparkling. Sorry to have kept you waiting. Okay, let’s move on to the final song. I can’t believe I’m missing someone so much. Yeah. It’s the best. I don’t know how many times I’ve said it was the best. From start to finish, it just keeps being the best. So amazing. Moving on. The future is unimaginable. No, it’s good. It still felt like there was some kind of gimmick going on. I feel like I stopped at a bad time. Let’s start with “The Future.” The future is cool, as always. Yeah. That was the best arrangement so far. That “Bang” bit. This is the defining point of the song. It’s the point where the whole band hits the same rhythm. Moving on. What’s your name? So, what’s so amazing about it? Well, there are so many, I can’t even begin to describe it all , but neither of them is the type to use much vibrato in their phrases. They ‘re the type to hold out notes in a straight line, but I think it’s amazing that they can express emotion in this way. I think vibrato really does add interest to a song. That’s why many singers use vibrato , but the trickiest part is to hold the note straight . Holding the note straight means that even the slightest wavering in the voice or lack of breath is immediately obvious. But you can’t hold the note straight in parts like this unless you have a solid foundation in singing. So here, you can really sense the high level of Nakanishi and Inoue’s singing fundamentals . I think they both have an incredibly solid foundation . Let’s move on. Oh, that’s the feeling. Yeah, yeah . Oh, like this, one phrase at a time. I mean, there’s no vibrato at all in the long tones right now. Shall we listen to it again? Sky of Hope. Yeah. Well, Inoue just added a little vibrato right before the phrase fades out. Basically, both of them hold the note straight. No, these two probably do a lot of that on a regular basis . That’s what I think. Let’s move on. Ah, so this is the end. I see. But there’s still about 30 seconds left , I wonder if they’ll sing one more phrase? They’re pulling away. Ah, it looks like it’s over. Relax. It’s over. But maybe they’ll say something at the end. I’ll take a look since I’ve come all this way. Cute. Ah, it’s over. They ended by saying they were cute. No, they really are cute, aren’t they? The two of them. And that’s it for Nogizaka46’s Kimi no Na wa Kibou. This concludes the analysis of their singing voices. Wow, both of them have amazing singing voices. I think they really deserve to be called geniuses. However , listening to their singing voices for one song, I could sense the immense amount of effort that goes into them behind the scenes, and I think that people who are called geniuses put in many, many, many times more effort behind the scenes than others. I could already feel that way. Honestly, I’m really happy to have been able to do this vocal analysis . I’d like to get to know more different voices, so if you Nogizaka46 fans have any recommendations for songs or voices that you think are great, please let me know in the comments. If there are a lot of songs that you recommend , I ‘d like to select some from them and film a vocal analysis video, so I’d really appreciate your cooperation. That ‘s the end of this video. If you enjoyed the content , please subscribe to my channel and rate it highly. Well, that’s it for voice trainer Tsuru .
