Hello everyone, I’ve been having a lot of drama lately. I’d like to recommend a light-hearted anime to relieve stress: Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. The story follows Chiyo, a young girl who falls in love with a strong man. One evening, she musters up the courage to confess her love, but she says the wrong thing, and instead gets an autograph. She ends up becoming a manga assistant ??. Thus begins her day-to-day uneventfulness . What will happen next? make manga, love, and its hilarious Let’s find out for yourself! I won’t spoil anything. This anime has 12 episodes and 6 short 3-minute special episodes, all of which are based on 4-panel comedy mangas. Now, what does this series do well? First, it focuses on straight-up parodies of rom-coms. It pokes fun at everything from situations, characters, and even misunderstandings. It hits the mark. Second, each character, both main and supporting, is designed specifically to be a meme. Each one has their own unique characteristics. They also have partners with awesome chemistry, who set the jokes and deliver the punchlines. Second, I think the manga itself is quite interesting. Let’s briefly understand the process, from the ideation of the story to the publication of the book. Next, the things that the story didn’t do well. First, this story focuses more on comedy. If you’re hoping for a sweet love story, you might be disappointed. There’s no progression in any couple’s relationship. Next, since this story is from a 4-panel comedy manga, there’s not much of a story. Most of it is short, meme-like scenes that end in the episode. If you want a “real” relationship, there isn’t one. There’s only the friend zone.
If you want a plot, there isn’t one. It’s all about meme. If you want character development, there isn’t one. To sum it up, if you want a story that make you smile and only makes fun of love, this story is fun. You can watch this in a chill way. There’s no drama. Because the anime have a different episode order compare to manga. Or if you want a comedy about everyday life, I would recommend Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou.
