豪雨が降り注ぐ無人の森でソロキャンプ。水溜りの中で燃える焚き火(野営)

Bloom where you are planted. Good morning. I’ve got good news and bad news. The good news is that the mouth ulcer that
had been hurting has finally healed. And the bad news is… The weather forecast suddenly changed this morning, and now they’re saying there’ll be thunderstorms tonight. A light rain would actually be nice
and cool, so I’d welcome that— but with heavy rain forecast,
I’ll need to prepare accordingly. I was planning to sleep in a tent today, but I’ve changed my plans last minute. I’ve decided to build a rain-proof camp base instead. On top of that, they’re also forecasting strong winds. At this point, I’ve already accepted that
I’ll end up soaked and covered in mud. I’ve been wearing my rain boots from the start, ready for battle. Before the rain starts, I’ll build the roof. It started raining just after I finished the roof. Now it can rain as much as it wants. After all, I’ve got a roof over my head. Still, I wasn’t expecting it
to start pouring this suddenly. And I’ve still got one more job to do. One of the top priorities in rainy camping— is to secure firewood before you get drenched. Gathering firewood in the rain
is a race against time. After securing the bare minimum of wood,
I get back to setting up. The best bed for rain camping is a hammock. Once you’re off the ground, even if it turns
into a lake, you can still sleep peacefully. Sleep is everything in life. Which means, if you sleep in
a hammock, life just works out. All that’s left is to enjoy the sound of the rain. Sleeping under a tarp in a rainy forest. Enjoying the sense of being outside of normal life. I will use the roots of two trees to build the base. There were still some logs left
from a camp I did here before. I placed one on the roots to use as today’s table. It just so happened to
be the perfect height for the hammock. Before the rain gets heavier, I want to enjoy a campfire. Both the ground and the firewood are pretty damp, If I try to grow the flame from a tiny spark,
it’ll be dark by the time it catches. I’ll force it with a match that has firestarter on it. Normally, cedar branches burn easily. but soaking wet branches
aren’t that cooperative. I’ll boost the flames with some extra fatwood. A whole stick of fatwood—pure luxury. Today only, it’s a special treat. After all that frantic setup, now I’m hungry. Let’s take a slow and relaxing tea break. I’ll roast a “taiyaki” it. In front of a campfire, you feel like roasting anything. That’s human nature. As for the drink… Continuing the Taiwan tea series. It’s a tea that blooms into a flower. As usual, there is no
brewing instructions on the package. I have no choice but to
pour hot water and hope for the best. Usually, even a rough method makes it taste good. But this time,
I have no clue what the right way is. “Taiyaki & floral tea set” It bloomed beautifully. And it’s not just pretty— It tastes great — that’s the charm of Taiwanese tea. It pairs perfectly with sweet taiyaki. The soothing sound of rain
made it a truly relaxing tea time. The puddles around me were
growing and about to flood. So I dug a trench to let the water out. Just like when I used to make
dams in the sandbox as a kid. I never imagined I’d be using those skills now. With heavier rain coming tonight,
I’m starting dinner early. (Garlic) (Prosciutto) Using damp firewood often
covers everything in black ash. That’s the fate of rainy day campfires. I tossed the ash-covered ingredients into a wok. I sautéed the garlic and prosciutto in olive oil. Then added some parsley for color and aroma. (Paprika powder) (Baguette) Toss it all into the wok. Let it soak in the soup with added water. (Salt) Then return it to the fire. (Egg) Let it simmer thoroughly. Looking good. Add extra parsley and prosciutto to finish it off. “Sopa de Ajo” A traditional Spanish garlic soup. The aroma of garlic stands out and tastes amazing. The thoroughly simmered baguette
has absorbed all the flavors. Super easy, delicious, and easy to eat. This is definitely going on
my repeat list of camping meals. The lake is about to swallow my campfire. I’ll put out the fire early and go to sleep. Today was a really fun day. Tomorrow will be even better. Last night’s heavy storm feels unreal. What a refreshing morning. Yesterday’s fire was smoky all the way
through because of the wet wood. I want to overwrite that with a crisp morning fire. I’ll use up the leftover lantern oil. As expected, my campsite is a muddy mess. Rain boots win the day. I’m glad I built the base using local wood. That way, I don’t need to clean
my camping gear, which got all muddy. If I had spread out all my favorite camping gear… I probably wouldn’t be enjoying
such a relaxed coffee time right now. Let’s have breakfast. “zongzi” (sticky rice wrapped in leaves.) I’ll steam it in the cooker. Morning campfires have their own charm. Morning sunlight filtering through the forest… and the lit campfire smoke adds to the magic. It’s often overlooked,
but it’s actually quite beautiful. While I was mesmerized by the sunlight,
it looks like the steaming finished. Just a plain, ordinary zongzi… Somehow blends into the atmosphere
of my camp and feels just right. Fancy, Instagram-worthy camp meals
don’t really suit this place, but these simple, rustic meals
go well with my little camp home. Fancy camp meals— I’d love to make them, but honestly, I can’t. The summer sun is blazing. Thanks to that,
the wet tarp is now completely dry. My apartment is small, so there’s no space to dry
a soaked tent or tarp. If I can’t dry them before leaving, I have no choice but to dry them
during the next camp. This camp started with a torrential downpour,
and ended with clear, refreshing skies. The rain wasn’t exactly relaxing
—it poured like crazy— but I still got to enjoy an
extraordinary break from everyday life. When you’re worn out from a long workweek, spend some time deep in the forest away from it all, enjoy a good meal, gaze at the campfire,
and drift off to sleep. After that, your mind is in a field of flowers All the fatigue from work
melts away before you even realize it. And with that, you’ll be ready
to take on a brand new week. How about a healing weekend camping plan like that? Thank you so much for watching until the end. See you again on the next camping trip.

  1. I really do not mind camping in the rain or snow… I would rather not break camp in the rain. Thank you again for sharing your camp.

  2. My friend I hammock camp all the time I have 9 different hammocks Hennessys being my favorite I noticed that your hang is very low to the ground you should at least be hanging two feet higher and a integrated ridgeline would be a good investment for that perfect hang everytime just saying . enjoy your outings my friend I enjoy watching them..🌲⛺🔥
