Hello! I’m “Kupio”. Today I’m going on a long-term car camping trip in the “HAPPY1Turbo”. This is the “HAPPY1Turbo”. The other day, we released the interior and exterior introduction on this channel for the first time. This is also the first video of the car camping. I’m excited. I’m going to travel with you through the video. I want to find out the good and bad points. “JP STAR” is quick to improve. I think everyone’s comments on this video will be used to improve “HAPPY1Turbo”. Please comment your opinion after watching the video. I will immediately load the car camping items I brought with me. Loading is complete. The newly created underfloor storage here is easy to access. I put things I use often, such as tissues, garbage bags, and frying pans. I put clothes and supplies in the underfloor storage with the largest capacity. There is also space under the sofa at the back. I put futons and other things in it. I filled the 24L water tank to about 80%. I was about to leave, but since it seems that other colorings of “HAPPY1 Turbo” are available, I will take a picture. It is quite colorful. There are 6 types in total. The body is also painted based on the genuine color. This one is orange. This color feels like “HAPPY1”. Personally, I think this white pearl is cool. Based on the genuine white pearl, the center of the body is normal white. At first glance it looks white, but if you look closely, it is two colors. The car I will travel with this time is khaki metallic. This color is also cool. I’m ready. Where shall we go? After all, it is a turbo engine, so I want to know how it performs on slopes. A route that runs on mountain roads or the climbing lanes of the highway is good. I’m concerned about fuel efficiency. Today I will go to the mountains, take a bath in a hot spring, and sleep in the car. After that, I will try to drive a long distance on the highway. From today, the scorching hot days of over 35 degrees Celsius will continue. Will the air conditioner cool in this scorching sun? And how many hours can it be used? It is the most difficult season for campers, but it is perfect for verification. I think it will use a lot of electricity. We will also verify how much of the power used can be recovered through solar charging and on-board charging. Now, let’s drive safely. Every time I leave “JP STAR”, my heart beats with excitement. “JP STAR” is a place where you can become a child again even when you are an adult. First, let me list the specs. The base vehicle is a Daihatsu “Atrai”. It has a seating capacity of 4 people and a sleeping capacity of 4 people. The license plate number is 8. It is a camper registration. It is based on a light car, but it is not a light car registration. The price is 5.85 million yen including taxes and various expenses for a four-wheel drive. Most of the equipment introduced this time is standard equipment. It is priced unique to “JP STAR”. The powertrain. The engine is a 658CC gasoline turbo. The transmission is a CVT. The engine’s maximum output is 64 horsepower. The maximum torque is 91 Nm. Now, let’s fill it with gasoline and measure the fuel efficiency. The fuel filler is right next to the driver’s seat. The gasoline fuel tank is 38L. Reset the trip meter. Here are my impressions after driving on a public road for about 30 minutes. The power and torque are amazing. I can keep up with other cars when starting from a stoplight. It’s a turbo, as expected. I’ve also ridden in a normal “Atrai”. Compared to that, it does feel heavy. However, as a camper, it has enough power on flat ground. For now, I’ve only been on hills, so I’m worried about uphills. As it is a camper, there are blind spots. However, the around view monitor is very easy to see. It shows a bird’s-eye view from quite high up. And the rear room mirror monitor that doubles as a dashcam. This is also clear and easy to see. Both are standard equipment, so it’s great. There is adaptive cruise control for the “Atrai”. It is semi-automatic driving. I will try this later as well. I’m going to buy some groceries at a grocery store. Parking is complete. Anyone with an around view monitor can park. You can park without any problems at these grocery stores in neighboring towns. The only thing you have to be careful of is the height limit. There was a height limit of 2.4m here. The “HAPPY1Turbo” is 2.5m high, so you can’t go under it. The width is about 1680mm, so there is a lot of space. The total length is 3800mm, so when you park it up to the wheel stopper, there is this much space in front. After all, a compact cab-over camper is ideal for city driving. There are many types of camper vans in Japan. The “HAPPY1Turbo” is a cab-over camper van based on a light car, so it is a relatively small camper van. This is the remote control for the “Atrai”. This is the remote control for the Shell. Both can be operated remotely. I bought what I wanted according to my desires. Now I put the ingredients in the refrigerator. I drink tea in the “HAPPY1Turbo” and think about my future strategy. It’s quite hot inside the car, so I turn on the 12V cooler. The 22L refrigerator is about to overflow. It feels good to have the cold air directly hitting me. I unfold the main table and drink a cold drink. I make cafe au lait with cold milk and coffee base. Car camping. This wood-grain-based interior is calming. I buy “Nagoyan” every time I come to Aichi Prefecture. It goes well with coffee. Thank you for the meal. It’s gotten quite cool inside the car, so I turned down the air conditioner. This “HAPPY1 Turbo” has large windows. There are three. It’s a camper with a great sense of openness. I want to go to a place with a nice view soon and see the spectacular view. There is a curtain on the driver’s seat. This is also standard equipment. It’s convenient because you can hide it quickly. There are quite a few gaps, so I think the insulation effect is weak. It’s excellent as a blind. The point I’m interested in on this trip is this bunk bed. It’s a size that an adult can sleep on, but is it practical? Isn’t it a hassle to unfold it? I’ll check how comfortable it is to sleep on. And I’ll try sleeping on the sofa bed. I lightly unfolded the bed when I introduced the interior and exterior last time. It felt a bit of a hassle. I’m curious. Today is the second time. I’ll unfold it again and actually sleep on it to experience the comfort and the effort of unfolding it. This 12V cooler is one of the selling points of this “HAPPY1Turbo”. It has a built-in slim type. I was also curious about its effectiveness, and it’s pretty cool now. However, there’s something that bothers me. The power consumption, including the refrigerator, is about 980W. This also includes the lighting. Maybe this cooler consumes a lot of power. I’m worried about this. I’ll leave the cooler on from tonight until morning to see how much power is consumed. The capacity of the sub-battery is 100Ah at 48V. It comes standard with a large-capacity lithium battery equivalent to 400Ah at 12V. I will introduce this trip. I am currently at the border between Aichi and Gifu prefectures. From here, I will continue north, cross the mountains of Gifu prefecture, and go to Toyama prefecture. Then I will drive through the mountainous areas of Niigata and Nagano prefectures and come back. There are many steep hills on the mountain roads around here. It will be quite a challenge, but I will test the capabilities of the “HAPPY1Turbo”. I will now head north and head towards the mountains. When the sun goes down, I will sleep in the car somewhere where I can take a rest. I sweated a lot, so it would be great if there was a hot spring. I will explain braking when driving in the city. Since it is a cab-over camper, the weight of the car makes the braking distance longer than that of a normal car. So, although it has a lot of power, I think it is better not to go too fast considering the braking distance. Or keep a sufficient distance between the car. You will need to drive a normal camper. I am currently driving on National Route 41. It feels like a bypass road and is a very smooth road. This National Route 41 will take you from here in Gifu prefecture to Toyama prefecture. This time we will be heading on a public road. Finally, we will enter the mountain road. From here, we will head to Hida Takayama in Gifu Prefecture. As we enter the mountains, there are more curves to the right and left. There are many sharp curves. This “HAPPY1 Turbo” has a different suspension. The reinforced suspension is standard equipment. These are rear shock absorbers. The rear tires are wide tires. Thanks to that, it is very stable when cornering. It does not roll surprisingly. There were many fast curves of about 50 km/h, but it hardly rolled. This is great. Normally, a curve this sharp would roll. It’s not that it doesn’t roll at all, but it’s almost nonexistent. I think the suspension is quite stiff. It feels like the impact is a little bigger. However, it is quite resistant to lateral shaking. I think it will hardly be affected by the wind on the highway. I’m looking forward to this too. The sun is gradually setting. I’m currently driving at 50 km/h and a climbing lane appears. This is a climbing lane that appears when you go up a steep hill on a regular road. The speed dropped a little, so I stepped on the accelerator. The engine speed was about 2800 rpm. The speed dropped even more, so I stepped on it lightly. Then it kept the speed at 50km/h again. The engine speed was about 3000 rpm. It was running without any problems. I was able to accelerate even if I stepped on it lightly from here. Isn’t that a pass? If it was a non-turbo, it would be quite difficult to accelerate from there. So the limit speed of the “HAPPY1Turbo” on a steep mountain road is 50km/h with ease. I think it will probably reach 60km/h. There are still more mountain roads to go from here. I will try it if there are more steep hills. I will try to accelerate again on the climbing lane of the highway from tomorrow onwards. I will check if I can overtake at 80km/h and 90km/h. It is sunset, so I will look for a place to sleep in the car. There was a hot spring and a roadside station in a good place. Thank goodness. I managed to arrive before the sun completely set. It was very hot the moment I got off. It was quite muggy, so I took a bath early. It said “Day-use bathing”. ? “Closed”… I can’t enter. The last admission is at 7:15 p.m. It’s 7:26 p.m. now. It ended 11 minutes ago. What should I do? I’ll think about it after using the restroom. It’s already pretty dark, but there was a hot spring about 50 minutes from here. It seems to be still open, so I’ll go. I laughed at my bad luck. I don’t really want to drive on mountain roads at night. I really want to go to the bath, so I drive carefully and slowly. It started raining heavily. It’s a mountain road at night, so visibility is quite poor. I was saved by someone ahead of me. I tried desperately to keep up. My wipers could n’t keep up even at their fastest. I started to worry that the road would be closed soon . I felt like I was dead. I’m going to hurry. I came back to life. For a moment I wondered what would happen. I was able to take a bath in the hot spring and feel refreshed. Moreover, it was Gero Onsen, which is famous for its hot springs. It was great. However, since it was in the mountains, the parking lot was quite dark. There are many reports of bears appearing in this area. So, I hurried into the hot spring facility with some trepidation. There is a roadside station about 15 minutes from here. It is located along National Route 41. I will be spending the night in my car there. I hope it is not too dark. I am nervous about the pitch black mountain road at night because there is a high risk of colliding with wild animals. It is quite bright. Thank goodness. I arrived safely. Now, I will set up the car for the night. Although it is in the mountains, there is a lot of traffic on Route 41, so I feel a little safe. There are also truck drivers resting. I feel a little safe because there are people. However, the other side of the road is completely in the mountains, so there are definitely bears. Now, I will relax in the car. The car camping setup was finished in an instant. After all, this is the greatest appeal of a camper van. I immediately turn on the 12V cooler. The LED bar lights scattered throughout the car enhance the atmosphere inside the car. First of all, I’ll drink some non-alcoholic beer and calm down. It has a premium atmosphere, so I’ll pour it into a glass and drink it. Car camping. The atmosphere is nice. I was worried that the lighting would be dark, but it’s not dark at all. It’s just right. However, the bank side and the entrance side are dark. I’d appreciate it if it was brighter because I’m going to be shooting YouTube. However, if you’re just going to use it privately without shooting videos, I think this is just right. The lighting is also stylish. It really feels like the interior of a camper that costs about 10 million yen. A while ago, when I released the interior and exterior introduction video of this “HAPPY1Turbo” for the first time, I received a lot of comments. Thank you. However, there were quite a few positive and negative comments. I read all the comments. I’ll introduce some comments that I found a little interesting and some that I thought were interesting. First, I’ll start with the “positive” of the positive and negative comments. The first comment. “It’s a revolution.” I think “JP STAR” would be happy with this opinion. “I love it! I love JP STAR too much!” I think this concept and design will really strike a chord with many people. “I think it’s attractive for people who are not family members, but like me, whose children have become independent and who are wondering how to spend their time from now on.” I agree. For those who have their children become independent and have time on their own, this type of camper is the perfect car to travel in. “As an uncle who is about to retire, this will probably be my last car.” It is certainly that perfect. “The turbo is the best.” “The reinforced suspension, battery, etc. are very appealing.” I agree. The suspension is reinforced as standard, so it’s a great deal. You don’t have to spend money later, so you can rest assured. The battery is also standard, 400Ah equivalent to 12V, so it’s ready to go right away. “It’s great that it has an around view.” An around view monitor is a must-have for campers, and having one or not makes driving much easier. “The thin air conditioner’s lack of presence is great.” This air conditioner is great. It’s very thin. It looks like a home air conditioner, but it’s about half the height. “The turbo is attractive. I’m also curious to see how the winter tires and wheels will be sold.” I agree. They are currently developing winter tires and wheels. If they can do this, it will be great because you can drive on snowy roads. There were quite a few comments like this. “I want a city version. I want to drive around town. And it won’t fit in my garage.” “I’ll definitely buy it when it comes out! I want the city turbo to be sold.” “As someone who lives in the city, if the city version comes out, it would be a must-buy.” Many people wanted a turbo version of the city. It’s true that the height is a problem in the city. The low-profile city seems to have a considerable advantage in terms of driving. Next, the negative comments on the pros and cons. The first comment is, “It’s too small for a family of four, but it would be nice for two people.” It’s true that four people can sleep in the car, but it’s just right for two people. “Personally, I like the white interior.” I think it would be nice to have a white version or a different version. People may like or dislike this wood grain and brown. “In a light car or a vehicle based on a light car, it’s too narrow when you load fishing equipment, camping equipment, clothes, and other luggage.” Fishing rods take up quite a bit of space. I think it would be really narrow if you put camping equipment in it. After all, it’s based on a light car, so I think it will require a lot of ingenuity and DIY. If you want to carry a lot of camping equipment, you might want to attach a cycle carrier to the rear or get a camper that’s one level higher. Next is a comment that was quite common. “Can’t you use the bunk for storage?” “I use the bunk bed as a place to put my luggage, so I’d like them to make a version where the TV stays at the back as before and the bunk can be easily used as a place to put luggage. ” “The bunk was better in the Premium version.” Many people pointed out that the bunk bed can no longer be used as storage. Unfold it like this. Lower it. Then pull it out. You can use the back here as storage. However, this has become difficult to use as storage. It ‘s true that the storage in this position is quite convenient. For people who don’t sleep on the bunk, storage may be more convenient. I asked “JP STAR”. In addition to the type where you pull the bunk out to make a bed, they are considering another pattern. It can be used as storage. I ‘m looking forward to this development as well. However, I think this bunk bed is perfect for people who want to sleep right away. When unfolding the bunk bed, you put the bar here. Then pull it out. This closes tightly. You have to be a little careful. It’s long. It’s 1820mm long. And it’s 1600mm wide. An adult male of my height (170cm) can sleep here. The previous “HAPPY1” was less than 1800mm long. It was quite difficult for a man to sleep here. So I think it’s quite good to sleep on the bank like this without unfolding the bed underneath here. I’ll try sleeping here today. There are still some “no” comments for and against. Some comments hit the nail on the head. “The tire house is in the front, so the foot space is narrow, so people with large bodies may feel cramped when driving long distances.” “The passenger seat foot space is extremely narrow.” “I think the narrowness of the driver’s seat and passenger seat foot space in the Atrai is fatal.” Many people pointed out the narrowness of the foot space. I think it really depends on the person. I didn’t think it was spacious when I drove it this time. I was driving it with the feeling that it was just like that. Many people said that the foot space was narrow in the Town Ace, which is a different car. I didn’t think the Town Ace was particularly narrow. So people who drive cars with wide foot space may feel quite narrow. I don’t think people who drive small cars will think anything of it. Considering the price of the “HAPPY1 Turbo” , the “JP STAR” is better than the “Treasure1” because the price difference is smaller and it comes with a multi-room, making it a good deal at 6.3 million yen. “It’s true that the price is not that different from the Town Ace Base. The Town Ace has a decent amount of power. It also comes with a multi-room. If you don’t mind a larger vehicle, I recommend the Town Ace Base. “This is the ideal light camper… This attitude of not stopping development is what “JP STAR” is all about. I like it… but it breaks down a lot.” I agree. “JP STAR” is being brushed up as it is being made . I think there will be areas to improve . But in return, the development speed is fast. They will repair any broken parts free of charge for three years. But I think it’s better to live near a dealer or agency. If you expect campers to break down to a certain extent, you may feel less disappointed after purchasing them. I received a lot of interesting and useful comments. Thank you very much. Please also comment on this car camping video. It will be reflected. I’m hungry, so I’ll have dinner. I thought I wouldn’t have much time today, so I bought mainly side dishes. I bought these vegetables and soybean curd for health. This is salmon sashimi that I wanted to eat. And Chikuzen-ni. Hida is famous for its Hida beef steaks. I’ll fry this in a frying pan. I’ll lightly warm up the Chikuzen-ni in the microwave. The microwave is now on the bottom instead of the top. It won’t open like this. I’ll move the sofa back once. Now it should be usable. Currently, the DC12V cooler, lighting, and refrigerator consume 430W. With the microwave, it’s 1.7kW, so 1700W. The inverter of this camper is 3000W, so there’s still room. It’s great. It’s finished. If you’re only using it by yourself, it’s not a pain to move the sofa when you use the microwave. If the number of people increases, you’ll have to ask them to move. At that point, it might be a bit of a hassle. All that ‘s left is to grill the steak. To prevent odors from building up, I turn on the Max Fan and leave only this window open. I lightly wrap the steaks and grill them to prevent oil from splashing. Today I’ll save time and eat them straight from the side dish pack. I use the Max Fan to intake air and let the steam from the steaks come out through the window. It’s good meat, so I don’t want to grill it for too long. It’s finished. This is a “midnight snack set that combines an old man’s desires with a little health in mind.” Let’s eat. Thank you for the meal. It was a lot, but I ate it all. Now I’ll clean up and get some rest. Of course, having a lot of side dishes means more garbage. I’ll cut as much as I can with scissors to make it more compact. If you pull out the license plate of the “HAPPY1 Turbo”, there is a storage space for throwing out garbage. However, there are quite a few wild animals this time. I put the garbage in an odor-proof bag and store it in the car. It’s not dirty, but I wiped it with an alcohol wet tissue just in case. I will use this IH cooker and frying pan for tomorrow’s breakfast. I will put the garbage in the storage space at the back under the sofa. There is quite a bit of depth here. There is a box in front. I will change into my pajamas first and relax. I will introduce today’s futon. I brought a thin futon, a towel blanket, and a pillow. I will unfold the bunk bed and go to sleep as it is. It is getting late today, so I will spend the day relaxing while watching TV from tomorrow onwards. It seems that the TV can be viewed in two ways: the TV on the navigation system and the TV tuner. The TV tuner’s signal does not reach the mountainous areas surprisingly. It is said that the TV on the navigation system is easier to watch. I will brush my teeth first. I will drink a glass of water before going to bed. The upper storage is very convenient as it can be reached with just a stretch of the hand. I failed. If you turn on the water with the faucet facing up, it will be discharged outside. Now I’ll try sleeping on the bunk bed for the first time. Remove the folding metal fittings here. Then there are two on the other side. Fold this over. Next, pull it to make it flat. This always closes tightly. Try doing it slowly. Hold it lightly. Close slowly. ! It closed tightly after all. It’s better to do it from the bottom. Press it a little like this. This might be harder to close. Then unfold the mat at the back. Is this okay? I had a bit of trouble because I didn’t know how to do it. Now it’s a bed that can sleep two adults, with a length of 1820mm and a width of 1600mm. This mat is bent right at the fold. Maybe it can’t be unfolded like this? I’ll try folding it like this. Lift this up . Push it to the back as it is . It seems like it should work. Is that how it’s supposed to be? Lift it up like this. ! It’s too thick to do. Up to this point, the mat and the board below will bend together. However, if you try to lift it up, it won’t bend because of the thickness of this mat. So I’ll leave it like this. I’ll unfold the bed like this. This is also good. However, there is no place to hold it when folding it. You have to push it from the bottom. Push it here. This can be unfolded into a bed right away, but you can’t watch TV. It’s a shame. I think it would be best if you could watch TV with the mat still attached and unfold it like this. However, it’s also good to use the top as storage in this state. I’ll fix it like this. I feel like this bunk bed has a lot more room to improve. I ‘m a little careful every time I unfold it, but even if I do it slowly at the end, it closes tightly. It’s good that the damper makes it slowly flat. If I do it too much, it seems like it will damage it. I’ll put a futon here and sleep with a towel blanket. This futon and the top futon on this bunk bed will be thicker in winter. But I’m not good at scrubbing. It ‘s difficult to do because it’s not high. So it’s best if it comes with the bunk bed unfolding. I think it would be very convenient if not only the bottom mat but also the futon and the top comforter came out together. I’m 170cm tall and I sleep with my legs stretched out. Even when I stretch my toes, they touch the bed a little. I don’t think it’s too stressful this way. My head is just right, so there’s not much room. If possible, it’s better to sleep at an angle. This is more secure. There’s a lot of room. No matter how much I stretch my legs, they don’t touch the bed. It’s interesting. My head is exactly at the Max Fan. The Max Fan is a little transparent, so I can hear the rain hitting it and see the rain. It’s pretty good. However, it seems like it would be quite bright in the morning if I don’t put on the shade. The battery meter is right next to my head. There’s currently 68% left. I’ll try turning on the 12V air conditioner for another night. As expected, the bunk bed is a little hot. It’s cooler at the bottom. It feels like it’s about 2 degrees different.(35.60000℉) The view looking down from here is also interesting. If you use the bunk bed, four people can sleep. I think you can sleep normally without feeling cramped. Two people on the bottom and two people on the top. When it’s time to go up, I’ll put my feet on the sofa on this side. Or you can put your feet on this table. This is a little unstable, so this platform would have been fine. The bunk bed has small windows like this on both sides. You can see outside. The view from here is wonderful. The service area is exciting. I sleep. The light switch is here. You can turn it off from the bunk bed. The rest is here, right in front of you. It’s interesting. It doesn’t shake that much even if you shake it. It shakes a little, but it settles down quickly after one shake. You can clearly see that the shock absorbers are absorbing the shaking. If it was a cab-over camper, it would shake for a while after one shake. This one stops shaking quickly. That’s why there was less roll on the mountain road today. I forgot to tell you. The important thing is the oppressive feeling of the height. It’s not that high. But it’s not that high. It’s not high enough to feel oppressive. It’s not a problem. It might be a little closer in winter when the futon gets thicker. This also depends on the person, so if you’re interested, you might want to sleep there once. The first day of living in the “HAPPY1Turbo” is over safely. I’m relieved. I was worried about what to do when it rained heavily on the way. I’m glad I was able to safely enter the hot spring and reach the roadside station. Campers are strong after all. It’s reassuring that it didn’t flinch even in that heavy rain. And today I was driving on the mountain road in the “HAPPY1Turbo” and it was fun on the general road. I usually feel like I’m late at the start of the traffic light. I was able to keep up with normal cars to a certain extent. It feels like the stress of driving has decreased. I also enjoyed the winding mountain road. I’m looking forward to the mountain road tomorrow. And the highway. The power and suspension of this “HAPPY1Turbo” will be put to the test. I’m hoping it will probably show a good run. The mountain road was better than I expected, so I’ll keep going. It looks like I’ll be able to see a lot of spectacular views from now on. Good night. The morning of the second day of living in the car. It’s dazzling. A lot of sunlight comes in from here. The temperature is rising here too. I left the air conditioner on overnight and the battery was at 40%. It was comfortable to sleep on. I thought this mattress was a little thin. When I actually slept on it, I didn’t feel like I was hitting the bottom and my back didn’t hurt. After all, this size is amazing. This is something that can only be achieved with a bunk bed based on a light car. There is a main road next to it. You can hear the sound of the car running. It’s not that noisy. So I was able to sleep. It’s too bright here, so it’s difficult to sleep in a bunk bed unless you take measures immediately. You can avoid the direct light by sleeping diagonally. It’s still a bit bright. Now let’s put away the bunk bed. First, fold the futon and towel blanket on top. I rolled them up and put them at the back. Next is the mattress. I need to remove it, so I’ll fold this one as well. This is a bit difficult to fold. It fits perfectly next to this, so it hits here. I couldn’t fold it neatly. If you’re not sleeping with two people, you can cut this side. Next, hold this and move it. Push it in like this. Now it’s stored at the back. Finally, lift up this TV. Install the folding bracket here. This bar goes in and out, so set it aside for now. It won’t fit here. There is quite a bit of storage space above the driver’s seat. I’ll leave it here. On the other side, this folding bracket makes the bar flat. When unfolding, just lift it up like this. There’s no problem with this, so leave it as it is. This completes the storage of the bunk bed. It’s pretty easy. What bothers me is the act of pulling the mat and laying the futon after unfolding it. It’s a space with no height above or below. I thought it was narrow and difficult to do in this. I hope this mat will come with you. However, if it doesn’t come with you, I wish it didn’t hit the side here so that it could be easily unfolded as it is. I ‘ll try sleeping under this side tonight. I’ll get dressed and get ready in the morning. The mirror at the entrance is very convenient when getting ready in the morning. I’m 170cm tall, so my head doesn’t hit the mirror near the entrance, so I can get dressed easily. My head hits the back a little, but I can stand and move around without any problems. The refrigerator is small, so I store things that can be stored at room temperature on the upper storage shelf. Today’s adventure begins again. Normally, mountain roads are tough in these campers, but with the “HAPPY1 Turbo” it’s a lot of fun. This roadside station is over 600m above sea level. It’s quite high. So I thought it might be a little cooler. However, the outside temperature has already risen to 33.9°C(93.02000℉). However, the inside of the car is 26.4°C(79.52000℉), so it’s quite cool. I think the temperature will continue to rise during the day today. I will try this 12V cooler when it’s at its hottest. I couldn’t travel without this cooler anymore. It’s a reliable presence. However, I was a little concerned about the high power consumption. However, I wouldn’t want to go on a trip without it. I’ll check if there are local ingredients at the roadside station. There is a storage box in the back, so I’ll move the garbage. When you remove the lock on the number plate, a garbage storage box with a drain hole will appear. It can hold three garbage bags. There is a hole here. If it gets dirty, just rinse it with water to clean it. This is very useful. There is a back sensor here. It is the same one that comes with the Atrai. The “TURBO” logo is here. It wasn’t there before. Other changes to the exterior. This vehicle doesn’t have it now, but the other display vehicle had a step here. It’s a manual step. The front hasn’t changed either. The body of this shell is rounded. It’s very wonderful. It’s a little curved. It ‘s not flat. It’s slightly raised from the edge. It feels like it’s settling down. It’s really lightly rounded. The entire panel is like that. This was apparently made with great care by “JP STAR”. I also thought this was wonderful. It makes you feel attached to it. It’s different from other campers, so it makes you want to own it. It makes it feel more like a toy that’s your own. It seems that the suspension has been slightly changed. This tire wheel was attached before. This is a rear wide tire. The tire brand is Yokohama Tire’s “PARADA PA03”. It’s a wide and stable tire. The front remains the same, but the rear has been widened. This is a view from the bottom of the rear. Those blue things are springs. They are large ones. These have been reinforced. It’s hard to see in front of them, but there are also black reinforced shock absorbers. There are four of them. Tires, wheels, rear springs, and rear shock absorbers. These have been standard and have been included for some time. This time, it seems that a stabilizer and shock absorber have been experimentally attached to the front side. This may also become standard equipment. The stabilizer is this blue rod. This is the stabilizer. The effect of the stabilizer is to correct the inclination when cornering. For example, when turning left like this, the car is subjected to gravity like this. At that time, this side sinks. When the stabilizer goes down like this, both sides also go down. So it will inevitably become parallel and you will be able to turn smoothly. The other is the front shock absorber. The spring has changed. This is set to be stiffer. They will make various adjustments such as softening it in the future to find the best position. So the car I’m driving this time has wider tires, reinforced springs and shock absorbers in the rear, and a stabilizer and shock absorbers in the front. All have been changed for camper vans, so the driving performance has improved considerably. So even when turning left and right on a mountain road like this, the driving performance was stable. This is said to be standard. Isn’t it amazing? I can promise you absolutely amazing driving performance. There is one more thing I really want to tell you about the driving performance. This is the wheelbase of the “Atrai”. It is the distance from tire to tire. The longer this is, the more stable it will be in a straight line. There will be less wobbling on the highway. This has become much longer since it became the “Atrai”. Before leaving, I compared it with the “HAPPY 1”. The “HAPPY 1” is a Hijet truck. Compared to that, the wheelbase of the “Atrai” was 30 cm longer. So I think the straight line stability was good. I can’t help but look forward to the highway trip. Now I’m going to do some shopping at the roadside station. It was dark when I arrived yesterday and I couldn’t see it, but the main road and train are running next to it. It’s surrounded by mountains and the air is fresh. There is a clear stream flowing just behind the roadside station. It’s very beautiful. It cleanses the soul. Some people drive their cars down to the river and play in it. The “HAPPY1Turbo” is also a four-wheel drive, so it’s reassuring to be able to drive in places like that. The lights were on at night, so I was able to use the toilet without any problems or fear. Tables like this are sold inside the roadside station. There are rows of low tables made from natural single pieces of wood. These are cutting boards and single pieces of cypress wood. They are sold for 2,200 yen or so. It’s also nice to buy boards like this and set up a table in your camper. I bought a cutting board that I can use in my camper in the future. I bought iced coffee and milk gelato because they were selling them. The gelato was very rich and delicious. There are more cars at the roadside station, so I’m going to move. I ate ice cream and my stomach was full. I’ll drive for about an hour. After that, I’ll eat my breakfast and lunch in the car. What I want to check is charging while driving. The roof is equipped with a 175W solar panel as standard. It is an alternator that generates electricity using the engine’s power. Normally, charging while driving generates about 300W. This car has a high-output alternator. So I think it will generate a lot of electricity. This is an option. I’ll check how much electricity it generates. Currently, it is consuming about 40W. Right now, the lights and refrigerator in the car are consuming electricity. This is offset by the power from the solar panel, so 40 to 50W is being consumed. It has now changed to about 70W. It seems to be consuming about 40W to 70W. I’ll try starting the engine in this state. The amount of electricity generated has increased. It’s over 700W right after I started the engine. About 726W is being generated. The air conditioner in the car is on now, so I’ll turn it off. It’s great. Even if I turn off the air conditioner, the amount of electricity generated doesn’t change that much. It’s 740W. It’s only increased by about 20W. My light camper has a normal alternator, but when I turn on the air conditioner, the sub-battery hardly charges at all. That’s how little electricity is circulating. This one is charged by the sub-battery at over 700W, with almost no difference whether the air conditioner is on or not. About 60W is consumed by the refrigerator, etc. This is calculated to charge at about 800W idling. If the engine speed increases, I think the amount of electricity generated will increase even more. I will continue to charge it while driving like this. It’s currently at 33%. I will drive for an hour from here. Now I will start again with safe driving. Yesterday it was pitch black and the rain was heavy, so it was scary. It’s also nice to drive on mountain roads during the day. The “HAPPY1 Turbo” turns well, so it’s very fun. Yesterday it was a dark and scary mountain road, but today I’m enjoying the winding road with a spectacular view. It’s great to be able to follow the car like this. The mountain road curves left and right, and there are many uphill sections. If you are driving a non-turbo “HAPPY1”, you will know how amazing this is. Usually, on roads like this, campers create traffic jams. But this time, I will be the one following the traffic jam. I want to go as far as I can in this car. I entered Takayama city in Gifu prefecture. It is quite urban. From here, I will continue north to Toyama prefecture. There are many roadside stations in Takayama city in Gifu prefecture. I will enjoy a leisurely trip while stopping at roadside stations along the road. Heavy rain has started again. In addition to the steep climb, there are a series of steep cornering, but the “HAPPY1 Turbo” climbs smoothly. It has just started raining heavily and has subsided a bit, but it is still raining. I have been going downhill since now. Cornering is quite smooth. However, I am concerned about the braking distance when going downhill. It is a little slow to stop after stepping on the brakes. I think it is better to brake early and turn with a lot of leeway. I feel that the roll is also increasing a little when going downhill. I think that the weight of this car and the weight of the shell are putting even more strain on the suspension due to gravity as it goes downhill. It’s better to go slowly. Finally, we crossed the mountains and arrived in Toyama Prefecture. We stopped at a roadside station to look at ingredients and then ate in the car. The sub-battery had increased to 62%. I’ll calculate it in detail later. I made a simple dish with the leftover ingredients and the ingredients from the roadside station. This is a delicious fried noodle dish that I bought at a food store in Gifu Prefecture. It’s pickled firefly squid and black pepper garlic spices that I bought at the roadside station. I also added shrimp and vegetables that were left over from the refrigerator. I seasoned it with a little soy sauce and plenty of black pepper garlic. It’s finished. This is steamed fried noodle dish with firefly squid and shrimp. Let’s eat. Thank you for the meal. I ate it in an instant. The fried noodle dish I bought in Gifu Prefecture earlier was very delicious. The pickled firefly squid itself had quite a lot of salt. So it was okay to use light seasoning. It’s simple, but this “HAPPY1Turbo” makes it possible to cook quickly like this. Because there is a kitchen table and a main table, you can put a lot of things. Now, let’s take a short break while drinking coffee. When I released the video last time, a viewer commented, “I want to put a wrap-up machine in it, so please tell me the dimensions of the underfloor storage at the entrance and the storage under the seat at the back.” I’ll measure it now. First, this underfloor storage. The height is about 15 cm. From the back to here it is 93 cm. The width is about 41 cm. It’s quite deep. It continues under this sofa. There is a part here that is bulging 2 to 3 cm. I’ll also measure the storage under the sofa in the rear. It’s difficult to access here, but there is quite a large space. It is connected to the outside from the door on this side. However, there are about two air conditioner pipes. I think they are probably connected to the outside of the car, so not all of them can be used. First of all, the height is about 35 cm. The longest size is about 115 cm. The length of this shorter side is 33cm. It is over 1m long, so it is perfect for putting long items in from the outside. It is perfect for camping equipment. I will tell you what I felt when I tried sleeping in the “HAPPY1Turbo” for the first time. In summary. In one word, I have a feeling that it will be a great car. It is compact and can be parked anywhere and can go anywhere. It is easy to drive. The interior is equipped with the latest equipment. You can travel even in this scorching hot summer in Japan. There is no doubt about it. However, I think it is best for two people to travel. If you are just sleeping, four people is fine. However, if you are traveling, it is best to have two people plus a small child. I think that is enough to stay comfortably in the car. If you have more than three adults, I don’t think you will regret a camper van with a larger size. Personally, I think it would be the ultimate camper if used by one person. If you put some thought into it, you can put a toilet in it. You can live alone. Before I tell you about the pros and cons I felt, I will first tell you about the verification data. This is the fuel efficiency on general roads. It is indicated on the meter. It runs 9.4 km per liter. This time, I drove about 250 km on general roads, urban areas, mountain roads, bypass roads, etc. The normal catalog value of this “Atrai” is in the 13 km range. As expected, fuel efficiency becomes worse when it becomes a camper. However, I don’t think it is very bad compared to other campers. Next is the selling point of this camper, the charging while driving. An optional high-output alternator is installed. This is a photo after driving on a mountain road for 2 and a half hours. It had increased to 62%. The charge is 623W at this time. It was 33% at first. It became 62% in 2 and a half hours. It increased by 29%. It increased by 11.6% per hour. When converted to W, it is about 600W charging. I will explain the calculation method. This sub battery is 52V 100Ah, so 52 x 100 = 11.6% of 5200Wh. I thought it was a little more. However, if it is charged at 600W, excluding the refrigerator and consumption, it is about 700W charging. I was expecting it to be charged at about 800W at first. At first, the main battery, the car battery, may have had a lot of capacity. When that was gone and the main battery ran out of power, it may have finally settled at 600-700W. Next is this 12V cooler. I started using it at 10pm last night and used it for about 12 hours from then. I turned it on for about 12 and a half hours, including lunch. So 40% was consumed. So I don’t think it’s a problem if you’re just going to sleep in the car. If you stay in the car during the day, the battery will probably run out. I’ll tell you about some other things I was concerned about first. First, this is the position of the microwave. I actually tried using it like this. It bends here, so it worked without any problems. This is within the acceptable range. Next is the sound insulation of the body. Like the “HAPPY1”, I think the sound insulation is quite good. Next is whether the air conditioner works. Unfortunately, the temperature today is not that high. The outside temperature is now 29.5°C(85.10000℉) and the inside of the car is 25.4°C(77.72000℉). Of course, it works without any problems at this temperature. It was about 34°C(93.20000℉) when it was hot yesterday afternoon. It worked even at that temperature. The problem is whether it will work at that time, since the summer in Japan is close to 40°C(104.0000℉) recently. This will be postponed to tomorrow or later. As for whether it will climb the slope of the running surface, it climbed without any problems. Next is this bunk bed that I was curious about. Is it practical? I found this by actually sleeping on it and using it. It can be used practically. However, one thing that concerns me is that it is hot on top and it takes a bit of courage to get on and off. And the mat. It’s a bit difficult to lay it down. It was also difficult to lay the futon, so is there an easier way to do it? I mentioned this in the previous interior and exterior edition. When you pull this, it closes tightly here. That bothers me. If I go with this structure, I think I need something like a damper. Now, I will tell you about the advantages and disadvantages I felt when actually using it. First, I will tell you about the driving part. First, the first disadvantage. Since I was braking with this heavy shell on it, I needed quite a long braking distance. I felt that it was especially long on the way down. The brakes are made based on the genuine “Atrai”. Although the shell is within the loadable range, it is better to think of it as being fully loaded with luggage. Since a braking distance is required, it is necessary to leave a large distance between the car in front and not to go too fast. This is the second disadvantage. The cruising distance is quite short. It can’t be helped because camper vans have poor fuel efficiency. The tank of this “Atrai” is 38L. On general roads, the distance that can be traveled in one go is 9.4km per liter this time, so multiplying it by 38 gives you 357km. It’s a distance that makes me feel uneasy about going a little far. I want to fill up when the gas tank is about half full. It’s not a problem on the main island of Japan, but in Hokkaido, there are only gas stations hundreds of kilometers away. I’m a little worried. The third disadvantage is that it doesn’t have much torque, so it starts off a little slow. This is also a characteristic of gasoline engines. Normally, when you put the Atrai in D and release the brake, there is a creep phenomenon where it moves slowly. But that didn’t happen. It didn’t move at all. So it feels a bit strange when you’re waiting at a traffic light. It feels like it doesn’t move at all even if you release the brake. If you press it, it moves forward. For a moment, you’ll have the illusion that the handbrake or parking brake is still on. It feels like the body is too heavy and there is no creep phenomenon. However, if you increase the engine speed a little, it moves forward without any problems. This is the fourth disadvantage. I didn’t know this, but it was written here. There is a “JP STAR” attached here. Height warning: 2.6m or more. This is a warning that this “Atrai” is 2.5m, so do not drive below 2.6m. ” Below that is written “4WD Limit 40km/h”. This means that you can only drive up to 40km/h in 4WD. Here you can switch between 4WD and 4WD auto. If you set it to this side, it’s 4WD lock. This will run in 4WD. If you set it to this side, it will be 4WD auto. Basically, it runs in 2WD, but if the road gets bad and it spins out, it will switch to 4WD. If you set it to the middle, it will have 3 modes. I think the middle one is 2WD. I think the reason is that the rear tires are wide. I think the distance for one rotation is slightly different. 4WD is fine in places where there is snow or muddy places such as gravel. It seems that it is better not to go too fast on clean asphalt roads like this. You need to be a little careful here. These are the disadvantages I felt in terms of driving. It’s not a disadvantage, but there is an extra thing I would like to tell you. After purchasing this “HAPPY1Turbo”, I am worried about how much maintenance the local Daihatsu dealer will do for me. This is the first camper in Japan that has been made into a cab-over camper based on the “Atrai”. I think it’s probably the first time the dealer has seen it. So I don’t know how they will react. They may refuse to do maintenance. That’s an unknown. If you are considering purchasing one, you may want to ask your local Daihatsu dealer. On the other hand, there are benefits to driving . The first one is the turbo. I already knew this, but this turbo is amazing. It can run on hills with ease. If you are a previous “HAPPY1” user, you will know that you no longer have to create traffic jams on hills. And you will no longer have to make long lines on the one-lane bypass road. It can climb hills with ease. Isn’t this what everyone wanted more than anything? I think one of the reasons why people who have considered buying the “HAPPY1” have decided not to buy it is that it doesn’t climb slopes. I think that more people will want to buy it because it will eliminate that stress. However, there is one thing to note. It has a lot more power than the normal “HAPPY1”. It is less powerful than a normal car. Therefore, if you are interested, I recommend that you test drive it once. The second advantage in terms of driving is the strengthening of the suspension. I was surprised this time. It can easily keep up with other cars on mountain road curves. Moreover, this “HAPPY1 Turbo” has a narrow body width. It can move to a certain extent on such roads. Therefore, when taking a curve, if you take an out-in-out line, it will turn even better. Large campers and trucks run to the full width of the road, so you can’t do that. Compact cars have an advantage when cornering. The suspension was set on a stiffer setting this time, so it shook a lot on the road surface. It absorbs softly. It feels like a strong impact occurs once and the shaking subsides immediately. What would happen if this was set on a softer setting? I’d like to try it out. I hope it can absorb this shock. It would be best if there was a setting that could suppress the low on mountain roads. I ‘d like it to be tuned like that. This is the third advantage. I didn’t notice it until I drove it this time, but the long wheelbase was a great advantage. Straight-line stability was good. Especially on general roads and bypass roads. It was very stable at a slightly faster speed of 60km/h and 70km/h. Even when a large truck came in the oncoming vehicle, it ran straight with almost no shaking. Also, the handling felt like it ran straight without touching anything. I’m looking forward to driving it on the highway. Next, I’ll tell you one thing in the extra edition. This armrest is on this side. There is no armrest on this side. This was quite convenient. I think it’s also easy to drive long distances. I think this is an advantage. It’s an original “Atrai” armrest, so it’s attached to the “Atrai”. Next, the interior edition. First, the first disadvantage. Traveling with more than three people in the summer is tough. Even with the optional high-output alternator, it feels like about 600W of battery charging is required while using the refrigerator. If a third or fourth person is sitting in this rear space, it needs to be cooled. The electricity goes to the consumption of the cooler and the battery does not recover. So after arriving at the car camping spot, the electricity will not be available. The second disadvantage is the 12V cooler. It consumes a lot of power. When I checked the power consumption yesterday at about 34 degrees Celsius, it was about 900W.(93.20000℉) Now the total power consumption is 400W. The outside temperature is not that high, so I don’t think it is consuming that much. But if you leave it on all the time, it will be a concern. If it is a Japanese-made household air conditioner, once the space is cooled, it will be at a level of 100W or 200W. After all, Japanese-made household air conditioners are the best. “HAPPY1” has a lot of space, so it may be a good idea to install a household air conditioner. Another thing that bothers me about this 12V cooler is that I don’t know how to clean the filter. It has a wooden frame so it is difficult to get your hands in. I wonder how easy it is to maintain. It sucks up dust, so I think it would be easier to clean a removable filter. But I can’t find anything like that. My camper also has an air conditioner built in like this, inside the furniture. It’s quite difficult to maintain. You have to remove all the furniture to clean it. I wish it was easier to maintain so that it could be cleaned. Third, a disadvantage I noticed inside the car. This refrigerator is small. This refrigerator is 22L. This time, like every other car camping trip, I bought some prepared food. But it didn’t fit. I put things that are good at room temperature, like water, outside. I think that people who especially like alcohol and beer will fill up the refrigerator quickly. The next disadvantage is the entrance. This entrance space is quite narrow, so you can put your shoes sideways. You climb up and put your shoes sideways. This was quite difficult to take off. There is a step as standard, so it might be different if you had that. It was a bit difficult to take off and put on shoes in this space. If it were me, I would put a board that I don’t mind getting dirty here to expand the entrance. Next, the last disadvantage. I was concerned about this lock. It’s very convenient. However, it locks when you press and hold it. It’s very loud. You unlock it by deciding the number yourself. This also requires a long press. I don’t know what it’s like in the video. It’s actually loud. If it’s a quiet roadside station at night, I think the sound will echo throughout the station. It’s quite convenient to be able to open and close it with a remote control, so it bothered me a little. These are the disadvantages. It’s not quite a disadvantage, but there was something that bothered me, so I’ll just mention it briefly as an extra. The tank here holds about 25L. The drain tank is 15L. So you can’t drain 10L. If you have 15L of drainage, you can use it for a long time for brushing your teeth, washing your hands, etc. I was a little concerned about the fresh water tank of 25L. Next, the smell of food in the car. This doesn’t matter to people who don’t cook in the car. I thought it might be a bit of a concern for people who do cook, so I’ll let you know. When ventilating, turn on this Max Fan. Use this as the intake and let it out from here. Or use this as the intake and suck it in from here and let it out like this. The air in the entire room is replaced. The cool air that was so well cooled is also replaced. This Max Fan is perfect for autumn and spring when the temperature is nice. However, on very hot and very cold days, the air in the entire room changes, so it is difficult to use. So I will attach a range hood here or attach a homemade ventilation fan. It may be better to suck in from here and take in outside air from here. Or it can be completed in the same window. Take in outside air from here and let it out from here. In that case, it will be enough with just this air flow, so the temperature in the room will not change much. Next are the benefits. The first is that this walk-through is very easy to do. It was easy to do because there was no need to go up. It was really helpful because it rained a lot this time. I was able to move around at a half-squat without bending over. Normally, I would have to bend down quite a bit. The second benefit is this easy-to-use underfloor storage. It was easy to access, so I used it a lot this time. This is a little different from the interior and exterior version introduced last time. A damper has been added here. Even if you close it randomly, it will close slowly like this. Before, it closed hard, but now it opens slowly, so you can let go like this. Even if you push it like this and release it like this, it closes slowly with little impact. The next advantage is this bunk bed. It was a bit quirky, but I think it’s great that adults can sleep on it. This is a light car base, and you can leave the food and drinks there and sleep on the sofa bed without unfolding it. It can be used like a larger camper or cab-over camper. The previous “HAPPY 1” was a little short in length. This time, even I, who am 170 cm tall, was able to sleep without any problems. It has a few quirks, but I think it’s a pretty innovative bunk bed. However, I personally like sleeping on the sofa bed. I would be happy if it could be unfolded more easily. Today I will sleep on this sofa bed. The next benefit is the interior atmosphere and lighting. This has a pretty good atmosphere. Especially this kind of indirect lighting. It’s an LED bar light. There is also a ceiling. The upper part on this side has a temperature color of about 3500K. This side is a little whitish. This has a color temperature of about 4500 or 5000K. The spotlight is about 3500K and a little warm. By using the temperature colors of these two types of lighting, the interior of the car was calm, but bright and easy to work in. I like this warm color. However, if it was just one color, it would make me sleepy. So I thought it was great that they had this whitish lighting. The last advantage is the sofa. It’s very comfortable to sit on. First of all, this leather-like seat. It’s waterproof, so you can wipe off dirt quickly. It’s quite thick. The backrest is great. When you sit like this, it feels like a sofa seat in a nice, stylish cafe. These are the advantages and disadvantages I felt after actually using it this time. There are some points to note for those who want to buy it. First of all, if it breaks, you have to take it to the dealer. Camping cars break down quite often. This is because there are many equipments. The same goes for the electrical equipment. Home appliances such as air conditioners, refrigerators, Max fans, FF heaters, and water pumps will eventually break down. Also, the furniture construction of the “JP STAR” is a bit weak. In the previous interior and exterior edition, I explained that the quality of construction has improved, but when I actually stayed there for one night and two days, I found some points of concern. For example, the wiring is exposed in these moldings. The windows are unstable. The decorative panels are a little loose. The quality is improving every year. However, compared to other major builders, there are some parts where the furniture is not well-fitted. It looks like this. If you tell them, they will fix it. I think it’s great that they will fix it completely free of charge within three years. If you don’t mind taking your furniture or equipment with you when it breaks, I think it’s okay to buy it. Second point. Lastly, a word of caution I would like to tell you. The price of the “Atrai” base keeps rising and ends up at about 6 million yen. “JP STAR” develops products at low cost. It is much cheaper than other builders. Still, compared to the Town Ace base, the price is about the same. The Town Ace has a maximum horsepower of 97 horsepower. This “Atrai” has 64 horsepower. In terms of torque, the Town Ace has 134 Nm. The “Atrai” has 91 Nm. In terms of numbers, the “Atrai” is quite inferior. However, the “Atrai” based camper is lighter. It runs just as well as the Town Ace base. The interior of the Town Ace base vehicle is quite spacious. A multi-room can also be added. If you can tolerate the size of the camper, the Town Ace base may be a better choice. If you prefer a compact body and agile driving, I think this “HAPPY1 Turbo” is quite suitable. When I actually stayed overnight in the car, I saw many things. But I think this car has a lot of potential and potential. It’s getting hotter again today and tomorrow. I would like to try to see how far I can go off-grid and use the air conditioner and home appliances without relying on external power. If the electricity runs out, I will head to an RV park or a car camping spot where I can use external power. I’m also curious about how it will run on the highway. This is a long-distance trip, so I will also be driving long distances on the highway. It’s the fuel efficiency on the highway. And will it shake with the wind? Will it climb a steep climb like a climbing lane? I will thoroughly examine this area as well. Then I will put away the induction cooker and frying pan so that I can move around.

Me encantan estos modelos, saludos desde España 😉😉
Assistindo de Curitiba que fica no Sul do Brazil. Muito Bom os teus vídeos. Parabéns.
JR STAR . Happy1 Turbo
Coupie I think the the chairs where u set at make it small and put a folded bed there in the space with cover to that as a room
Turbo
