【東京→名古屋】ベビーカーのような高級夜行バスに初めて乗車、快適な移動になるはずが…

Hey guys, it’s Yuuka here! Right now I’m at Maihama Station. I’m not coming back from Disneyland or anything… But I went ahead and bought a headband anyway! After this, I’m hopping on a night bus from the Tokyo Disneyland Bus Terminal West. Yep, I’m taking a night bus tonight. I’ll be trying out this seat called “Reborn” on the Willer Express bus! It’s not a private room or anything, but people call it the “adult baby stroller” lol A lot of you guys asked me to try it in the comments, so today I’m finally checking it out in person! Alright, time to head to the bus terminal now! Let’s go! Found the bus terminal! There it is! Apparently Disney gets like 40,000 visitors a day… And here I am, not even going in— just wearing a headband outside lol I might be the only one doing that, huh? The bottled water in the vending machine is totally dreamland-priced… It’s like, ridiculously expensive. I’m shook. Honestly, instead of playing in the park, I prefer chillin’ at home with a Disney vibe. It’s exactly 10 PM now, and my bus leaves at 10:20. I just have to show this QR code to get on. Flight number WT361! Time to go find it! Looks like it’s at platform 27. Ooh, that Orion bus looks interesting! Pretty sure it goes all the way to Hakata, right? I really wanna ride it someday! *One of the longest night buses in Japan, like the Hakata-go* As expected from Disneyland— even the bus stop is super cute! Right nearby there’s this super fancy restroom and a very *realistic* under-construction attraction. Not a fairy in sight… Looks like they hired pro builders, not fairy magic! Thanks for waiting! The arriving bus is Willer Express— Flight WT361! Heading to Nagoya! Please have your QR code ready, and wait just a moment for boarding. Last time it was white, but this time it’s red and black! Kinda cool, right? It went from cute vibes to a stylish upgrade! Good evening! Thanks for waiting! Here you go! Do you have any valuables, fragile items, or stuff you’ll need during the ride in your luggage? The aisle is soooo narrow… Uh-oh… this is gonna be tight. *If I eat too much, I might not make it through!* I’m in seat 6A, all the way in the back. Made it on board safely! Just like the rumors—it really does feel like a baby stroller. It’s kinda hilarious. First, let’s check out the overhead shelf. There’s a blanket up there, and you can fit small, flat stuff too. Please, universe, don’t let anyone sit next to me… Forget “Wish Upon a Star,” I’m wishing for an empty seat! Good evening, everyone! Welcome aboard Willer Express WT361. This bus is bound for Nagoya. For your safety during the ride, please make sure your seatbelt is fastened at all times. The highway may have some bumpy spots, so we might shake around quite a bit. Please stow your luggage securely in the overhead rack. Make sure it’s pushed all the way in. Thanks! Feels like we’re about to get moving! Let’s kick off a night bus journey full of laughs and maybe even tears. Thanks again for waiting— Willer Express WT361 is now departing for Nagoya! *Tiny round of applause* We’ll stop by Ikebukuro Station West Exit to pick up a few more passengers first. Then we’ll hit the highway and head toward Nagoya. We’re scheduled to leave Ikebukuro at 11:10 PM. And we should arrive at Sasashima Live around 5:50 in the morning. Miraculously, no one sat next to me! So I think I can actually show you the seat properly. The Reborn seat reclines— all the way back to 156 degrees! It leans back way more than I imagined, almost flat, like seriously flat! If you don’t raise the footrest, your feet won’t even reach it— that’s how much legroom there is. This is what it looks like when fully reclined. And the tray table in front is surprisingly big! The adjustable headrest is a total win for people who crash hard like me. The seat even comes with an eye mask, and there’s a little reading light too! Honestly, this thing is way too fancy for a baby stroller. I’m seriously impressed. There’s even a drink holder, so my overpriced “dreamland water” has a place to chill too. It’s been 30 minutes since we left, and the night view out the window is gorgeous. We’ll stop at Ikebukuro again soon, so the real battle begins— Will someone sit next to me or not? *If someone does, we’re jumping straight to the ending.* We arrived at Ikebukuro, and some new folks just got on the bus. Please let no one sit next to me… please… *Power prayer activated* Thank you for choosing Willer Express today. We really appreciate it. This bus is bound for Nagoya, on the Willer Express line. I totally lucked out— no one in the seat next to me or in front either! So I’ll go ahead and take charge of the snack seat, thank you very much. I didn’t go to Disneyland today, but I still managed to snag some Mickey cookies! You’re allowed to eat and drink on the bus, but nothing noisy or super smelly is allowed. *Beer is obviously a no-go* Alright then—Mickey’s ear, coming right up. Yum! This mouse is feelin’ the magic. Taking a night bus from Maihama gives you fun little moments like this. Love it. After we left Ikebukuro, the lights in the bus dimmed down. So I reclined all the way and kicked off my relaxation time. It takes about 40 minutes to get to the first service area, so I think I’ll take a quick nap till then. We’re already at the service area—time flew! If you know where we are just from this shot, you’ve got some serious skills. So you don’t get lost when coming back, make sure to snap a pic of the license plate or where the bus is parked before heading out. 4-5-2-3… *Don’t count on my memory for anything though.* We’ve arrived at Ebina Service Area! The Willer Express Reborn seat is *super* comfy—like seriously amazing. I already kinda dozed off. There’s no toilet on board though… Not that I ever need to go or anything. Apparently we’ll be stopping at three service areas on the way. So yeah, that’s your bathroom chance! They literally said that. So like… I don’t normally go, but I might give it a shot this time. It’s 12:10 AM right now, and we’ve got a whole 30-minute break until 12:40! So I’m gonna go explore a little inside. Whoa, the shops are all still open! That looks SO good. Ikura egg-on-rice—are you kidding me!? Looks amazing. *Too good to be ikura’d* Look! It says it’s an Ebina exclusive! A chick-shaped snack!? *Suspicious behavior unlocked* When you think of Ebina, you think of Ebina melon bread. I fall for it every single time. Spotted Hello Kitty still working overtime. Hang in there, girl. It’s past midnight, but lots of places are still open. I really wanted to hit up Yoshinoya for a beef bowl… But I barely resisted. Just barely. Pretty sure this is the one. Wait… this *is* the one, right? Okay, let’s go for it. *If I mess up, my life is over* Phew! I got on the right bus! Seriously though, just in case— take a pic of the license plate before you leave. It’s 12:45 now. The bus just left Ebina Service Area. We’ve still got two more breaks before Nagoya. I’ll try to hit all of them like a champ. Or maybe not… this seat is way too good for staying awake. Suzuki, signing off to continue her beauty sleep. Still half-asleep and totally confused. I was out cold. No idea where we are right now… but I think it’s the last service area. Looks like I slept right through the Fujieda stop… I wanted to hit all three rest areas! But the Reborn seat was just way too comfy. So I totally failed my mission. That seat is dangerous… in a good way. Honestly, I kinda want one at home. It’s so easy to fall asleep in. What time is it now? It says 4:03 AM. They told us to be back by 5:00, so that means we’ve got an hour-long break. That’s really long! Lucky me! Mystery solved! Looks like we’re at Okazaki Service Area. Might be my first time here. I actually drive a lot, so I’ve been to quite a few rest areas already, but this is a new one for me. Kinda happy about that, to be honest. A small bit of joy upon waking up. The souvenir shop is open! Can’t believe it’s 4 AM and still running. Let’s check it out. Since it’s my first time here. I wonder what kind of stuff they sell in Okazaki? It says “Okazaki exclusive!” Piyorin chick dessert! Wait, didn’t I see another chick snack earlier? *Chick souvenirs are just unbeatable.* Uiro sweets! I kinda wanna try the uiro… *But I went broke buying Disney water so… pass.* Still, it’s fun looking at all the goodies. As expected from Aichi, they’ve got tons of tebasaki chicken wings. Looks so good. Well, since I’ve got time, let’s go check out the restroom. Uh—not actually going, okay? It’s just for… sightseeing. (For what though?) Alright, be right back! Wait… where was it again? Is it this way? I got off half-asleep, and now I can’t remember which bus is mine. I *think* it was parked at the very end. That one at the far end looks familiar… Pretty sure that’s the one! *Imagine accidentally taking the wrong one back to Tokyo…* Well, not just a little… I’m still really sleepy, actually. So I’m heading back on the bus for round two of sleep. Next time I wake up, I’ll probably be in Nagoya. Good night again. So yeah, I totally passed out after that. Next thing I knew, I was already in Aichi Prefecture. We’ll be arriving at the final stop, Sasashima Live, in about 30 minutes. Time to hurry and get ready to leave. The Reborn seat is dangerously comfy. *This is a public service announcement.* Thank you for riding with us. We’ve arrived at Nagoya Minami, Sasashima Live. Please make sure you have all your belongings with you. We look forward to serving you again! *Me, totally unaware I forgot something.* Made it to Nagoya safe and sound! The first thing to do when you get to Nagoya… is say hello to Nana-chan. Good morning! *Nagoya, home of the fabulous Nana-chan.* After greeting Nana-chan, I headed to Nine Hours Nagoya, a capsule hotel nearby. If you pay 600 yen extra for the bus ticket, you can take a shower here. Alright, I’m going in! After showering, I’ve fully “Reborn’d,” so I came to Komeda Coffee nearby for breakfast. Apparently, Komeda Coffee started right here in Nagoya. I didn’t actually know that! They’re famous for burgers that are bigger than the pics. Gotta be careful not to over-order… *I totally lost to temptation.* This time, the night bus from Tokyo to Nagoya cost 9,100 yen one-way. The Shinkansen would be 10,560 yen, so you save around 1,000 yen. If you’re coming back from Disneyland, you can play until closing time and hop on the bus right after. It’s great for people who think the last train’s too early. I think this bus is a real hero for Disney fans. *The official bus of post-Disney people.* I performed a heartfelt dance inside Komeda. Today I rode the Willer Express Reborn all the way from Tokyo Disneyland to Nagoya. It was honestly *so* comfortable, and I totally fell in love with it for three reasons. First, the seat itself— it’s insanely comfy. The material feels like soft fabric, not like your typical bus seat. It honestly felt more like a nice sofa at home than a bus seat. It totally changed my image of what night buses are like. Seriously, it was so cozy. Second, there were none of those squeaky bus sounds— not even a creak the whole ride! Buses usually make all kinds of noises, but this one was totally different. It was super quiet, so it was really easy to sleep. And lastly, the third thing— There are partitions between seats, and they go down pretty far on the sides. You can’t even see the person next to you. Once you recline your seat, it really feels like your own private space. That part was super nice. But one heads-up— on popular routes, sometimes only the middle seats are left. If you end up in a middle seat, and you’re fast asleep, you might have to wake up if someone inside wants to get off at a rest stop. You’ll need to move your legs and make space, so— I think side or solo seats are comfier. Personally, my top seat recommendation is— if you’re in the very front, you don’t have to squeeze through the aisle, which is super narrow. So that’s a big plus. And if you’re in the very back, you don’t have to pass anyone either. When people walk by, you often make eye contact— and that’s kinda awkward when you’re just sitting there. But if you’re in the back, you don’t have to worry about that at all. So yeah, front or back seats seem best to me. Also, the overhead shelf is pretty small. If you’ve got something like a backpack, it might not fit. So it’s probably better to check bigger bags underneath and keep your legroom free and comfy. I think that’s about it! Compared to the Dome I rode last time, I definitely liked the Reborn way more. Now I really wanna try a long-distance route next— Like one that goes all the way to Fukuoka or something. Willer, please make it happen! *With this seat, even a long trip would be no problem.* Thanks for watching till the end today! I really appreciate it. Please don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe! Bye-bye!
