ジャズというそもそもアメリカ発祥の音楽を日本でやると言う事は、実はアメリカ人が日本の演歌を演奏している事に等しいのです。日本でゴスペル・グループを流行っているのは、海外で盆踊りが流行っているのと同じでしょ（笑） この曲に出てくるシカゴで僕はブルースと本格的なスイング感を体得させてもらいました。単純なブルースでも、聴衆の皆さんが踊り出したくなるようなスイング感を提供したいものです。このトリオはこの４年間共演してここに到達していますし、特に最近ボーカルの阿部純子も進歩が目覚しいです。ここでは僕はフレットレス・ベースでギターは弾いていませんが・・・
The challenge of performing anything which was not originated in your home country is to how much you can authenticate the feeling of the arr. In this case we are playing a very simple, super well known standard blues, root 66 by 4 Japanese musicians. Just imagine. this is just like American musicians are trying to perform a Japanese traditional pop song! While I lived in Chicago, I learned the true meaning of swing and the blues.
