【北海道】一泊3300円の格安カプセルホテルに宿泊、鍵なし半個室はさすがに…
Hey guys, it’s Yuuka! Right now, I’m in Hokkaido! I just hopped on the bullet train today, and came all the way from Tokyo to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto Station. Then I made another transfer and arrived at Susukino Station. Tonight I’m staying at a hotel— I found one for just 22 bucks a night! Time to check out this super cheap hotel! It’s kinda chilly outside, so let’s go check in right away. *Only 5 minutes on foot from Susukino Station—great location! It’s right here under this sign. The hotel’s called Theatel, on the 3rd floor. This building’s got a bunch of shops inside too—it looks fun! Kinda wanna grab a bite to eat later. Alright, heading up to the front desk on the third floor now. This $22 hotel… Let’s see if it’s actually any good… As soon as I got off the elevator, I saw this super stylish giant map on the wall! Here’s the vibe of the front desk area— It’s way cleaner than I expected! Just finished checking in now, and when you check in, they hand you a slip with your room number and the code for your key written on it. So now I’m punching in the code to unlock the door! Tonight I’m staying in a women-only room like this one. There are earplugs sitting here already— Does that mean it gets loud here…? My room number is 117, so it’s this way. This is what the guest floor looks like. The rooms are separated by colorful curtains, all lined up in a row. Mine is number 117. Hope it’s a cute one! Here we are! (That was fast.) The curtain is emerald green! Let’s head inside and check it out. Okay, it’s literally just a bed— But I kinda love how it feels like a secret hideout! If you’re not careful, you’ll bump your head at the entrance, so yeah, it keeps you on your toes. Now on the hunt for the light switch. I’m totally winging it ‘cause it’s my first time here. Found it! Whoa, it’s pretty bright! Okay, this is actually kinda awesome? So far, I’m really loving this place. I can’t really talk out loud here, so I’ll switch to voice-over from here. From the inside, the curtain doesn’t seem see-through at all. There are two hangers on the wall. And for some reason, two bath towels. Guess I’ll use one for the top half and one for the bottom? Above the pillow area, there’s a storage shelf with a dial lock, so I can probably keep my valuables in there. There’s also a box of tissues, and a little flashlight that looks like a penlight. If I get lonely by myself, I’ll just party with this thing! There are two outlets too, and a flexible reading light right by the pillow. The bed is about this wide, so it feels pretty roomy and comfy. Check-in starts at 3 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. Most of the signs around here are in English, so maybe a lot of the guests are from overseas? I also found another storage space under the bed. This one doesn’t have a lock though, so probably best not to store anything valuable there. That’s it for this little room report! After all that moving around, I started to get a little hungry. Time for Suzukino exploration with Suzuki! Let’s go check it out! I mean, when you think Hokkaido, you think *that*, right? I came outside ‘cause I was hungry. It’s freezing, so I definitely want something hot. This place—Ramen Toguchi—looks so good. Could this be the famous Hokkaido-style ramen? I’m going in. Let’s do this. *They’ve got miso ramen, creamy chicken broth, chashu, tsukemen—so many choices! My ramen is here! I went with the white miso, butter, and corn combo. I mean, corn in ramen totally screams Hokkaido, right? Alright, time to dig in. Looks amazing. And it’s huge! *Slurping intensifies* This is insanely good… Hokkaido, you’re dangerous… I got so caught up in the ramen, I totally forgot to talk about the hotel! But seriously, the hotel was amazing too, right? For only 22 bucks, that quality? I was kinda shocked. I haven’t fully explored the whole place yet or anything, but the room felt pretty spacious, and I peeked at the bathroom earlier— it was super clean! Looked really nice. I’ll show you more of that later. *Honestly, it’s a mystery how it’s this cheap. So it’s May now, but outside in Hokkaido, it’s freezing. Like full-on winter cold. But indoors everywhere is surprisingly warm, so that’s a relief. I honestly didn’t expect it to be this cold, so I didn’t bring many base layers or anything… I’m a little worried about surviving the next two days… I’ll be in Hokkaido for four days, two nights total, so before I freeze to death, I’ll hit up Donki for warm gear! The other day, I stayed at a super cheap capsule hotel in Akabane. That night, I had steak for dinner— and it actually cost more than the hotel. So today’s ramen was about 8 bucks (¥1150), and thankfully, cheaper than the hotel stay! A $7–8 bowl of ramen doesn’t sound *that* cheap, but if happiness costs $7, that’s a steal. Since arriving in Hokkaido, I’ve asked station staff for directions, chatted with the hotel staff at check-in, and even with the staff here at this ramen place. Everyone’s just been so kind— like genuinely kind. They actually look you in the eye when talking to you, and treat you so warmly. Hokkaido might be cold, but the people are seriously warm. I’m having such a nice time. *I have zero vocabulary to express this properly, but I really love Hokkaido. Thanks for the meal! That was sooo good. I’m totally stuffed. Alright, time to head back to the hotel. Made it back to the hotel! Next up, let’s do a little exploring inside the building. Next to the front desk, there’s a cafe space— looks like you can order soft drinks and alcohol there. *But no alcohol for me today, okay?! This lounge area is open for anyone to use freely. Wouldn’t it be fun to go glamping here with a big group? (I’m daydreaming) They even have neon signs… It’s giving major extrovert vibes. I wonder what’s upstairs past this staircase? Let’s go find out. Turns out there’s another chill zone up here too. A beanbag chair made to ruin your productivity. Better test it out—just to be sure, you know? It’s super soft, not bad at all… But I feel awkward so I’m escaping now. Oh no— I’ve merged with the beanbag… Here’s what the space looks like from above. There’s even a projector on the ceiling, and apparently this place can be rented out for private events. Now I’m gonna go check out the shared facilities area too. At the entrance to the guest floor, there’s a fridge, a trash bin, and even earplugs. You’re supposed to label your stuff in the fridge with sticky notes so people know it’s yours. Right next to the guest floor, there’s a room called the “Washroom.” Inside, there are two washing machines and two dryers—both pay-to-use. They’ve also got four shower rooms. All the water facilities are super clean overall, and the shampoo and other amenities are well stocked too. And get this—the hair dryer at the sink is from ReFa! That’s seriously such a nice touch. For a $22 stay, I’m honestly shocked at how good the facilities are. Now that I’ve explored the whole place, I’ve come back to my room. It’s 1:32 AM right now. Kinda late, huh? Time to go take a nice hot shower. Be right back! Just got out of the shower, and changed into my pajamas. *Goron~* This is technically the lounge space, and it’s open 24 hours. It’s already 2 AM now, so I’ve got the whole place to myself. I picked up some Hokkaido camembert cheese! And also some dried squid. Alright, let’s dig in. Cheers! *?!* That’s tasty. Wait—no, hang on, let me explain! I mean, when in Hokkaido, gotta try Lemon-dou, right? So I gave it a little taste… Now let’s try the cheese. *woof* Delicious. Seriously, sooo good. I wish you could taste it too. *If screen-tasting worked, I’d offer you some.* This Lemon-dou is crazy good. And this lounge is super cozy—it’s actually really fun here. But I only bought one drink… Bonbohoru. *Using local dialect just like my dried squid snacks.* This Lemon-dou is a Hokkaido-exclusive shiso lemon flavor, and it’s got this rich shiso aroma—so good! The shower was super clean and easy to use too. Not super spacious, but… They had shampoo and conditioner all ready to go, and the hair dryer was a ReFa, so yeah, it was awesome. If you register as a member at this hotel, you can stay for just $22 per person. And the room can fit two people! So if you’re staying with a friend, it’s basically $11 each. That’s ridiculously cheap, right? Being solo means I end up paying a bit more, but honestly, $22 for this quality? Still feels like a total bargain. I wonder if there’s a catch though… Like, maybe it’s super noisy at night? But the men’s and women’s areas are separate, so that might not be an issue at all. *I’ll give you my honest review now that I’ve stayed here. Anyway, I’m starting to feel sleepy, so I think I’ll crawl into bed now. Oh wait— Before I sleep, I wanna check out the hotel Wi-Fi speed. Download speed is 260 Mbps. Definitely no complaints there! Got an early start tomorrow, so it’s time to sleep. Good night! Good morning! I totally overslept… Gotta get ready in a hurry! Here’s today’s outfit. *I underestimated how cold Hokkaido is 😭 This is all I’ve got… It’s currently 10:22—yep, I extended my stay a bit. Gonna quickly tidy up my room and head down to check out. So I stayed at Theatel Sapporo this time! And honestly, it was really great. I mean, $22 for this location and this quality? That’s pretty rare. It’s just a 5-minute walk from Susukino, and even at night, the area’s super well-lit. Lots of restaurants stay open late too, so it’s super convenient. That said, it *is* a capsule hotel, so the noise was a little noticeable. I woke up a few times during the night, to be honest. But other than that, the interiors were super clean, and I think it’s still a pretty new hotel. It felt fresh and very comfortable to stay in. Also, having a women-only area really gave me peace of mind. I didn’t run into any male guests at all— I basically spent the whole time in the women’s zone. So I felt super safe and comfortable throughout my stay. If you’re coming to Hokkaido, I totally recommend staying at Theatel! Thanks for watching till the end! Really appreciate it. Don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe! Okay, bye-bye!

Beautiful, enjoyable to watch, very good.
It looks like the name is implying that it is a theater hotel. The lounge area looks like it could support a semi-private movie screening or something, but I wonder if that ever happens. It does look like a nice place to just relax outside it the room. I've never stayed at one of these, so I really appreciate that you take us along to see what it is like.
