When you press the “CC” button, subtitles will be displayed like this. Before departing for the 26th prefecture of my nationwide trip, Akita Prefecture, I did the bare minimum of shopping at a convenience store. This trip is my first national conquest trip in a while! It was the first time since April of last year. It’s been so long since I’ve been on a nationwide trip that I forget which prefecture I’ve been to. The Tohoku region is now complete! The last one will be “Akita Prefecture”! I came out on a whim, so I don’t have a solid plan yet.I entered Tochigi Prefecture! Currently running on the Kita-Kanto Expressway. It’s my first time going to Akita Prefecture, so I don’t know how to get there. There aren’t many RV parks in Akita Prefecture, so I don’t know if I can go there, so I have to try to conserve water. It will be a 4 night and 5 day trip, so I have to think about what will happen next… I took a break at Nasu Kogen SA and found some nostalgic things! I couldn’t resist buying this mayonnaise-like pudding. My mom , who won’t get mad even if I drink it directly, also carefully bought a high-quality jersey milk pudding. They say it’s a high-class pudding, but papa has several ice creams for 120 yen. There’s about 390km left to go to Akita Prefecture…I’ll do my best to go as far as I can! I don’t know what the difference is between a parking lot and a service area… I’m almost to Fukushima Prefecture! I feel like it’s been a while since I’ve been here. I’m running towards the lower right corner of Akita Prefecture, but even after entering Akita Prefecture, the distance seems to be long. I have entered Fukushima Prefecture! I feel like I’ve come this far without anything. The reality is that there is only 350km left to Akita and I have only covered 150km so far… It says to wear winter tires from Nishi-Aizu onwards. After entering Asaka, the wind and snow suddenly started to fall. There was a lot of wind blowing and it felt like the steering wheel was being grabbed. I was having fun while listening to music… Before I knew it, I had entered Miyagi Prefecture. If I went a little further ahead, there seemed to be a branch heading towards Yamagata. After driving 320km, I’m halfway out of fuel…I have to stop at a gas station somewhere to run out of fuel. If possible, I would like to refuel during my break without making unnecessary detours. If you go straight at the fork ahead, you will go to Miyagi/Sendai, and if you go to the left, you will go to Yamagata. I will take a break and refuel at Chojahara SA. I have covered about 395km since I started. Fuel is also more expensive than in the past… Von-chan seems to have had a full stomach. Studless tires don’t burn very well… It suddenly started snowing again. And it’s raining a lot. It’s interesting to drive long distances because the scenery and weather change from time to time. It seems that winter tires will be regulated at Maezawa SA in the future. Is it raining more? The snow has calmed down more than before. I’m glad I’m still wearing studded tires. As we enter Ichinoseki, we have finally arrived at Iwate Prefecture! Today I think I’ll sleep in the car at a PA/SA somewhere in Akita Prefecture. 100km left until Akita prefecture… The numbers are becoming more realistic. As soon as I said that, I couldn’t help but feel sleepy… so I decided to sleep at Maezawa SA today. It’s one hour from here to Yokote City, Akita Prefecture, so I decided it would be okay to travel tomorrow morning. It’s been about 6 hours since I left home… My physical strength and sleepiness are at their limit, so I’m going to sleep! On the second morning, it was still snowing outside. As U-chan has grown, it has become cramped for the two of us to sleep in a single room. I’ll be leaving soon this morning, so I’ll have a quick breakfast. I remember coming to this SA before…or maybe not, all the roads ahead are now regulated for winter tires. Today I will enter Akita Prefecture and go to Akita Furusato Village in Yokote. After that, I think I’ll wander around the area. First time on the Akita Expressway. Finally, I could see the characters for Akita and Yokote. The weather has become gloomy outside. It’s hard to see even when driving. The snow particles are getting bigger and bigger, and it’s starting to look like a snowy landscape. When you enter Yuda in Iwate Prefecture, the winter scenery changes completely! If this is mid-March, how much will it pile up in the middle of winter? ! I finally arrived in Akita Prefecture! It’s been a long time… Living in the Kanto region, I can’t see walls of snow like this. There’s so much snow, but I wonder what it’s like in the city. The long expressway ends here! Enter the lower path. I wonder how much the expressway toll has been so far… just over 7,600 yen! It wasn’t as expensive as I thought. (Although it’s expensive) Akita Furusato Village seems to be right around the corner. Akita Furusatomura ↓ It seems like there is also a modern art museum and many other things. There are more cars in the parking lot than you think! There are many Akita prefecture numbers! It seems like a facility that is loved by locals! Let’s go to Akita Furusatokan! It’s nice that it’s indoors so it doesn’t depend on the weather. This time we’ll have lunch at a different place, but you can also eat at the Furusato Ryorikan. Found a Namahage! I wonder how many times I’ll see Namahage on my trip to Akita? There are so many things from Akita that you can buy souvenirs all at once . Crafts are different depending on the region, so it’s interesting to learn about the culture and lifestyle. If you look closely, you can see that each kokeshi doll has a different face and expression! U-chan, who saw this and learned that she had eaten Yosuke Sato’s Inaniwa udon before, was also very interested! I seem to like this kind of thing quite a bit. There were also crafts on the second floor, and the museum was spacious and worth seeing. A nice chest of drawers and desk. If I had a Japanese-style room, I would love to have one! When I watch things like this, I think “Japanese” is also nice and nice. There are many other crafts as well! All of them are wonderful. I don’t use it anymore, so I’m curious about how it was used. I feel like the crafts around here are still used in modern times. I wonder what this barrel is used for…? Regular exhibitions at the Museum of Modern Art are free, but special exhibitions require a fee. It seems that it is OK to take pictures depending on the exhibits. The facilities are connected like this, so there is no problem even if the weather is bad! Paintings and Jomon pottery were on display. I had a lot of fun! Today’s sake search was quite interesting as there were clay figurines . I always wonder which one to buy… This time I decided on “Mansaku no Hana”! I’m looking forward to drinking it at night ♪ I found it in a vending machine! It seems to be a design limited to northern Tohoku. After this we have lunch. Apparently there is a place that is famous for conveyor belt sushi, so I will go there. Speaking of which… When I realized that the snow had stopped and the weather was a little sunny, my hometown village was full of souvenirs, crafts, art museums, and food stalls! I’m thinking of having lunch at Kaiten Sushi Makoto, a conveyor belt sushi restaurant located nearby. It’s a popular restaurant, and it might be quite crowded at lunchtime… I found “Kaiten Sushi Makoto”! Let’s go to Sushi Makoto! ! I just hope I can get it in soon. It was crowded after all. But it seems the peak has passed. I ordered 8 pieces left to the plate. U-chan eats all the tuna. By the way, the miso soup was free, and the shrimp soup stock was delicious. It was a Japanese horseradish kappa roll. It seems like there was only one spicy thing after this ! I was full! It was very delicious♪ After this, there is an Aeon nearby, so I’m going to finish my shopping first. Shopping complete! I was looking for a hot spring near here, but there wasn’t one, so I decided to go near my next destination. I actually wanted to do one more sightseeing trip, but it was raining and snow was piled up in some places, so I gave up. After this, I think I’ll move closer to the Oga Peninsula. Because it’s on the Oga Peninsula, you can see the Sea of Japan in Akita. I stopped by the PA and took a nap break for about 30 minutes. There’s still about 50km to the Oga Peninsula, so I’ll do my best to get there! The feeling of moving from city to city feels somewhat similar to Hokkaido. I like that feeling when you think you’ve entered a city, it feels like you’re on a road trip. Arrive at your destination, the roadside station Tennou. There is also a hot spring here. Coffee milk after taking a hot spring bath! I can’t get enough of this cup.Today I’m going to prepare dinner in a water-saving style. U-chan’s new item “Otamatone” U-chan came here after hearing about raw ham. I’m aiming for it. When I go on a trip, I also discuss the contents of my refrigerator at home. This time I brought meat from home. Today’s menu is beef with green onion salt, raw ham salad, bamboo shoots, fried chicken, and stick salad.I thought it would go well with alcohol, so I also bought yellowtail and cheese pickled in oil. Good luck on your first national conquest trip in a while! Papa is in charge of sake from all over the country, and U-chan is in charge of juice from all over the country. It was a mature taste that was perfect for snacks♪ Today’s comment theme! “What comes to mind when you hear Akita Prefecture?” U-chan and mama probably think of “Namahage.” papa is watching Yuru Camp, so it’s “Kiritanpo Nabe.” Now that I’m in Akita Prefecture, I want to go eat Kiritanpo Nabe! Please let us know in the comments section what comes to mind when you think of Akita prefecture. If you live in Akita or go there often, we would be happy if you could tell us your memories of Akita and your recommendations. I’m going to try some Yokote sake that I bought today. “Junmai Daiginjo Mansaku no Hana Yamada Nishiki 45” Cheers! The sake was refreshing, easy to drink, and delicious! It’s dessert time for U-chan after the meal. I was trying again for the pudding that I couldn’t eat yesterday.Today was the Japanese national soccer match, so I was watching the game while drinking alcohol. One of the great things about a campervan is that you can enjoy the same experience while traveling as you would at home. For dessert after the meal, adults will enjoy Akita’s famous “Babahera Ice Cream.” Eat all the papa and put it in the fridge – what’s the point? Ice candy! Shaved ice rather than ice cream? It seems that each rose is handmade one by one! Ice cream made with lots of love from Auntie! When I looked outside…the observation deck was lit up and I could hear the sound of rain inside the car.It gave me a sense of something out of the ordinary, and I surprisingly liked it. Papa seems to have reached the limit of his sleepiness. He teaches U-chan how to massage his face. His recent favorite is the facial roller. I bought this because I have severe stiffness on my face. It helped improve the stiffness on my face and head, and it was easy to use and felt great! *This is not a project! This was a personal review.I’m going to sleep in a bunk bed today, so I’m going to prepare my futon. The depth of the bank seems to be wider on this old Vaughan than on the new Vaughan. The bank is close to the ceiling, so the sound echoes, so you might be bothered by the sound of the rain while you’re sleeping. Did everyone go through some miscellaneous transportation of pillows and dolls ? George, who was treated roughly, started to fall asleep. Good night, U-chan! I’m exhausted from moving so much today, so I’m going to bed now! Good night ♪ The morning of the third day It has been raining since yesterday. U-chan! If I don’t wake up early, Namahage might come. Papa said anything would be fine, so he bought “salad bread” at the supermarket yesterday. 800 yen is cheap for this amount which seems to mimic the sound of fried Mac fries ! Surprisingly, salad bread is said to have originated in Nagahama City, Shiga Prefecture. But apparently Akita also has salad bread. For those from Shiga, it’s shredded pickled radish and mayonnaise. In Akita, it seems to be spaghetti and mayonnaise. I’m thinking of heading to Namahagekan on the Oga Peninsula! There are many places I want to go to on the Oga Peninsula, but I don’t have much time so I have to choose. A shrine related to Namahage, a market, a revolving observation deck, etc… It was quite windy. It was my first time at the sea after coming to Akita. “Ah, Namahage!” A Namahage tunnel appears. The Sea of Japan is rough today, and we will head inland again from here. Oga City is said to be the birthplace of Namahage. There are Namahage in many places on the Oga Peninsula. After entering the Oga Peninsula, there are many roads that feel like nature. You can also catch a glimpse of Namahage at the entrance and exit of the bridge. Depending on the location, there may or may not be snow left. “The torii gate has come out.” It seems that Mayama Shrine is located in the back here. I decided to park in the second parking lot. “There are “Namahage” here, so they can appear anywhere, right?” U-chan is a little nervous. “Namahagekan/Oga Shinzan Denshokan” registration has been completed . It seems that the Namahage demonstration is about to start, so I’ll go there first! *The performance time seems to change depending on the season. Flash is not allowed, but photography is OK. The name Namahage comes from the word “Namomi” in the Oga region. It is said that in order to admonish lazy people who spend too much time in front of the hearth, they would strip off their “namomi” (low-temperature burns caused by the hearth), and this “namomi stripping” is said to have given rise to namahage. U-chan is excited. A person who plays the role of head of house comes to the house in advance and asks permission from the landlord to allow the Namahage to come in. It is said that Namahage will not enter a house that has had misfortune that year or a house that has a sick person. Oga’s Namahage steps on four legs to pray for good health and a good harvest for their families in the coming year. It is said that he steps on his feet seven times when he gets home, five times when he gets to the table, and three times when he stands up from the table. Incidentally, there is a legend that in the Mayama district, hornless Namahage parade in pairs from house to house. U-chan was also scared and teary-eyed. It’s true that it can be scary for children… The owner of the house welcomes the Namahage with drinks and food, and talks about his gratitude to the Namahage and the events of the past year. Mr. Namahage, who sometimes surprises us, came to say hello to everyone! It’s so impressive when you get up close! It is said that the Namahage pray for good health and a bountiful harvest for the next year, and then move on to their next home. It is said that the straw that falls from Namahage is sacred and is said to bring good luck. (I was told that it was okay to receive it) I decided to display it at the entrance of my house. U-chan was still afraid of Namahage. It was a wonderful experience and I’m glad I was able to learn about traditional culture! We were both surprised to see each other on the Oga Peninsula! We received a shout out from the viewers! (Thank you very much♪) It seems that you can also watch a demonstration of carving a Namahage mask. Papa also transforms into a sluggish bald man! Am I the only one who doesn’t think it looks impressive? Apparently, only unmarried men can become “Namahage.” There are various theories about the origin of Namahage. More than 150 Namahage masks that were actually used in various parts of Oga City are on display. Namahage, which are not found in the Mayama area, have horns, and there are a wide variety of species that look completely different. There was also a gorgeous Namahage! I bought a Namahage ornament from the souvenir corner . It’s colder than I expected, and the snow hasn’t melted yet. I have no trust in papa who throws snow. The streetlights are sluggish! Oga Peninsula is far away in Akita, but it’s worth coming here! After watching Oga’s Namahage, I learned that they are so different. There is “Oga Aquarium GAO” near here, so I thought I’d check it out. The strong wind is still blowing. The scenery is very beautiful. Toga Bay is surrounded by land, so the waves may be calm. Turn right here and you will arrive at Oga Aquarium GAO. There is a parking lot in a pretty amazing place… Now here it is ↓ It’s near the tip, so the wind and waves are amazing… Maybe it’s a little harder here than I expected… It was too windy so I gave up. The average wind speed seems to be 12m/s, and the car body is shaking considerably due to the wind. It’s quite scary when the wind blows. I don’t want something to happen while I’m away, so I decided to give up this time. It’s a fresh start. I might have been able to go if the parking lot wasn’t at the tip. I think it was shaking more than Cape Soya in Hokkaido. It feels like the wind and waves are coming to the tip. I think I’ll head back inland for a while. I also wanted to tour the Oga Peninsula, but the wind was getting stronger inland, so I gave up. After this, we will go to an egg specialty store called “Tamago no Ki”. It seems to be a shop that originated in Akita Prefecture. Since I’m here in Akita, I’m thinking of having lunch at a restaurant in Akita. There’s a seafood market along the way, so if there’s no wind, I’ll stop by there as well. I want to get revenge on Akita when the weather is nice again. The seafood market is also by the sea and there is a breeze, but the wind is completely different from the one at the aquarium. (It wasn’t a strong wind) There were various things, but we arrived at “Oga Seafood Market”. There were also rice shops at the market. I found black-throated sashimi. I bought raw wakame and nodoguro sashimi. Business conditions and contents may change depending on the weather. It seemed like there weren’t that many today. It will take about 30 minutes to arrive at Tamagoko Tree from here. Why is the Sea of Japan so prone to storms? This time it’s the blue Namahage tunnel. A big Namahage that I couldn’t photograph on the way there! I guess they aren’t doing the egg tree…? That atmosphere. I would be very shocked if it closed down now. I was running a shop, but I was running out of time for a restaurant. mama and U-chan had demi-glace omelet rice and papa had snow crab sauce omelet rice. The eggs in the omelet rice were thick, plump and delicious♪ The pudding I drank was really delicious! The cream puffs aren’t too sweet and you can eat as many as you want… After this, I’m thinking of shopping at the Akita Marugoto Market. I haven’t been able to travel as much as I wanted due to the rain and wind, but I’m going to go to the market! There is a hotel hot spring next to the market, so if you have a day trip, I think you should go here. The whole thing arrived at the market. A wide variety of souvenirs, vegetables, and fresh fish are sold inside. There are many types of miso, so I’m confused. I was able to safely buy the ingredients for today’s dinner! The hot spring at the hotel next to the market was open for day trips, so I thought I’d go there. There is a round one that is strangely large… The facility on the left is “Natural Hot Spring Hotel Komachi”. You can enter the cab con in the second parking lot. Looks like I had ice cream after taking a bath today. I recommend going early because it’s empty. I’m curious about Round One in front of me, so I’m going to go there. Since I couldn’t go to the aquarium, U-chan will have some fun with her time! The target is George! It was quite difficult… I tried very hard to get it.The next one seems to be a minion… I was surprised that I could get it. U- chan is overjoyed to have more people to travel with . Apparently, this round one has a shuttle bus to the station! U-chan was also happy to have more friends. Tomorrow we’re going to Lake Tazawa, so I’m thinking of staying in the car there. Almost arrived at the roadside station Kyowa Shiki no Mori. The roads around here are pitch black… just 15km from Lauan, the scenery changes completely. There are really few campers in Tohoku. There weren’t many people on this trip to Akita. Egg bolo bought at the egg tree. It’s smooth and not dry and delicious. Bolo contest. Papa is not allowed to be greedy when he holds out his hand even though it’s already over ! I don’t even have papa! ! I just received it? This Namahage ornament I bought at Namahagekan has horns! A real mask that could be hung on the wall cost tens of thousands of yen. Even a small mask cost about 15,000 yen. I purchased miso from Akita Prefecture. It is said to be naturally brewed with no additives. Today we started making rice using ingredients from Akita Prefecture! The Sierra Cup is a versatile item for sleeping in the car. The chin is coming out nicely. This may be my first time making miso soup in my car. There is only one stove, so cook in an orderly manner. “It looks like it’s the first egg laid!” Stir-fry it with radish leaves, eggs, and bacon. The frying pan is small and frying is difficult. The white flesh is crisp and you can tell it’s fresh. U-chan also mixes it up ~ Seasoned with Kurose spice. Having one can be used for a variety of purposes and is very convenient. Reheat the miso soup and it’s ready. Today’s main dish was sashimi that I bought at various markets. Miso soup from Akita. (The tofu is from Tohoku) The radish and eggs in the stir-fry are also from Akita. Coincidentally, Sato’s rice is “Akitakomachi.” This time, the microwave is powered by a sub-battery. Since switching to lithium, the reduction has been completely different. Auntie said, “It’s best to put the seaweed in last!” so I added it in later! Itadakimasu and cheers! “Wakame is seriously churuchuruyan!” All of them are delicious. Pour the Nodoguro with Akita sake. Here papa is the one who silently eats TKG (egg-cooked rice). Here is today’s comment theme! ! “Is there anyone who drinks miso soup more than 3 times a week (3 days)?” Some people don’t drink it every day, and some people don’t… At my house, we serve it depending on the menu, so we don’t often serve it. In addition, “What is your favorite ingredient in miso soup?” P stands for seaweed, M stands for green onion, U stands for tofu and seaweed . Everyone, please let me know ♪ After the meal, I’m relaxing ~ On this trip, I made sure to save water when washing dishes. I’m currently watching my family’s favorite, “Zozozo.” U-chan and papa have tea time. mama is lazing around off-screen. When I came to Akita, I noticed that there were a lot of Akita number plates at tourist spots. It’s true that yesterday’s “Furusato Village” was full of Akita numbers. The Oga Peninsula is also a far away place in Akita, so there may be a lot of people who come there. It looks like you had a relaxing tea time. Only the minion looks dissatisfied below. The stuffed animals are starting to take over… See you tomorrow. good night! U-chan sleeps well. I can’t get up easily. “If you don’t wake up soon, you’ll come back late!” Papa is also trying his best to wake up U-chan. Since I was conserving water, I still have half of the fresh water left on the fourth day. I went to the roadside station to buy breakfast. Finish shopping and leave! Akita Prefecture, where you rarely see campers. I want to tell people that traveling in a campervan is great not only in Akita but also in Tohoku in general. After this, I’m going to head to Lake Tazawa! It’s about 50 minutes away from here. The first place we head to at Lake Tazawa is the Tatsuko Statue. Legend has it that Tatsuko, a young girl who wished for eternal youth and beauty, drank water from a spring in the forest as told, and eventually transformed into a dragon and threw herself into Lake Tazawa. Lake Tazawa is said to be the deepest lake in Japan, with a depth of 423.4 meters and a cobalt blue color. “There’s quite a bit of snow left over here.” This morning I have a long way to go to Lake Tazawa, so I head there while eating the rice balls I bought at the roadside station. There are so many cedars in Akita Prefecture that my mom, who suffers from hay fever, is scared. “This, this, and that are all cedar!!” What on earth is that orange film on the windows of the house in the snowy country? If anyone knows, please let me know in the comments section. About 5km from Lake Tazawa, the road becomes a little narrower. If you don’t look ahead and run…it’s dangerous. Gutters hidden by snow are scarier. The sign in front of me warning me to be careful about animals wasn’t a deer, it said “Beware of antelopes”! Surprisingly a mountain path? We were traveling on a flat road, not a mountain pass. “Welcome to Lake Tazawa” We will soon arrive at the “Tatsuko Statue”. Where is the parking lot? Where is everyone stopping? I found a shining Tatsuko statue on the right side. Huh? ? Where is the parking lot…? Drive-through Tatsuko statue unexpected situation. I couldn’t find a parking lot! I was only able to see the “Tatsuko statue” for a moment. Since I can’t make a U-turn, I decide to give up on the Tatsuko statue and move on. Even though the weather was bad, the lake was still blue and beautiful. I regained my composure and headed to Gozaishi Shrine. “The shrine has a parking lot, right?” I found a parking lot at the drive-thru Tazawako ! It started raining when we arrived… It’s useful to have rain gear on hand at times like this. “There’s also a statue of Princess Tatsuko!” “This is the torii gate of Gozaishi Shrine that I saw in the photo!” ~Gozaishi Shrine~ There was a statue of Princess Tatsuko. The “Tatsuko Princess Statue” is probably the one that incarnated into a dragon, and the figure of the girl before the avatar is similar to the “Tatsuko Statue.” I found a bad luck ball. I’m going to do my best to get rid of the bad luck! Maybe from here, I’ll throw it on that plate and break it. Torii and Lake Tazawa Lake Tazawa is blue even in the rain. I want to go to Lake Tazawa on a sunny day next time! When I travel to Tohoku, the rain rate is high… The rain was getting heavier and heavier, so I gave up on exploring this area. There are many types of Goshuin stamps at Gozaishi Shrine, and there are about 7 patterns. There seemed to be a sightseeing boat as well, but due to this weather, a lot of things weren’t going on. After this, I’m going to go to a school called “Omoide no Gata Branch School,” which is an abandoned school that has been restored. Are shops closed during this time? Let’s head to “Memories of Lagoon Branch School.” There is another route to the branch school, and that route seems difficult for campers. There was a tea shop there so I stopped by, but…it was closed. It looks like the road is a little tough from here… it’s amazing to think that there’s a branch school up ahead. “It would be a big problem if a car came from in front of us!” We will arrive at the branch school soon. A branch school suddenly appeared. Arrived at “Memories of Lagoon Branch School”. “Memories of Lagoon Branch School” Business hours: 9:00 – 16:00 (closed on Tuesdays) Admission fee: 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for children A retro classroom that will make you feel like you have traveled back in time. “Didn’t accordions exist in our time?” *Mama and papa are from the same generation. We had large protractors and triangular rulers in mama’s elementary school. Doesn’t it exist at your current school? I wonder if the snowy landscape seen from the window was like this now or in the past? There is no heating on the second floor, so the classrooms are cool. Walk down the wooden hallway to the gymnasium. Although it is small, the gymnasium has a high ceiling and is impressive. We can also have some fun in the gym. It was a place that both adults and children could enjoy. It was a great place to have fun regardless of the weather. Next, I would like to head towards the samurai residence. “It would be beautiful if it was sunny.” If you come in the middle of winter, there will be a lot of snow and it will be very difficult. Do you doubt whether a drive-thru Tatsuko statue will be made again? Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll be able to watch it. And then I came here and found out. The parking lot was here… we were almost at the samurai residence. I suspect that the parking lot at my destination isn’t working, so I think I’ll go to another one. Somehow, we arrived safely at the parking lot along the samurai residence street with its quaint townscape . As soon as we arrived, it started raining again. The samurai residence seems to be famous for its weeping cherry blossoms. I would like to visit again when the cherry blossoms bloom. ~ Samurai Residence Street ~ Found the miso shop I bought and used yesterday! You can also tour some of the facilities within the samurai residence. There are many armors and weapons on display. U-chan is also very interested. There are a lot of things that I wonder what they are used for. You can also experience actually holding a sword. “It’s heavy, but it weighs about as much as a light metal bat.” Contrary to what it looks like, it’s lighter than I thought. By the way, the Aoyagi family’s premises are said to be 3,000 tsubo. It is said that Naotake Odano, a lower-ranking samurai from Kakunodate who is related by marriage to the Aoyagi family, drew the illustrations for the Kaitai Shinsho. The mansion is also very spacious. It was decorated with photographs from the end of the Edo period. There are various exhibits and it’s a lot to see. The helmet is quite heavy and makes my shoulders stiff. When I thought that people were in here to carry it, I guess they must have had amazing muscles back then. Inside there was a backrest and armrests. An antique collection collected by the head of the Aoyagi family. Since you can also drink matcha, I decided to have tea time here. Apparently you can drink matcha. It’s starting to rain so I head back to the car. It seems like it’s raining everywhere I go today… The restaurant I want to go to starts at 5pm, so I’ll go to the hot spring next to the restaurant first. On the last day of our trip, we had a rare toast at a restaurant! Grilled mackerel! The one that goes well with alcohol… Kiritanpo nabe has also arrived. U-chan also said that the grilled mackerel was delicious. Kiritanpo hotpot is something I definitely wanted to try when I came to Akita. The kiritanpo hotpot is ready, so let’s eat it! Light and delicious! Kiritanpo still seems strange to U-chan. I also ordered Inaniwa udon. Complete the local cuisine you’ve always wanted to try. The final dessert is going to be amazing. U-chan seemed to be very satisfied as well. After finishing our meal, we headed out! I finished eating and taking a bath, so all I have to do now is sleep. I was satisfied with my long-awaited Kiritanpo hotpot and Inaniwa udon. Today I’m going to sleep in the car at a nearby roadside station. When I arrived at the roadside station, I was surprised that it was still 8pm! I haven’t gone shopping, so all I have in the fridge are leftovers. Adults decide to have a drink time. When I put it in the refrigerator, it solidified… I put it in front of the FF heater to thaw it. Now that the preparations are complete, let’s start tea time! Cheers♪ “We’re having a tea party tonight too♪” “It’s just a drink for dinner, though.” Sake while snacking on fresh seaweed. The best. “Please tell me about a good scene during your trip to Akita.’ ‘ Also, if there is a place you would like to go to, please let me know as well♪ It seems that U-chan liked school today. I think mama is Namahage. I wonder if papa is also a Namahage. Lake Tazawa is where I want to go on a sunny day! There were many places I couldn’t go because of the rain. This trip covered the entire Tohoku region! The smoked fish pickled in oil has melted. There were many people from Akita in both my hometown village and Namahage. Among those watching the video, have any of you experienced real-life mahage? It’s amazing that I’ve even been bald. Namahage, when will I stop being scared? U-chan has grown so big when I noticed it. I’m thinking of watching something while having a drink. I think I’ll take it easy after this. I think it’s time to go to sleep. The rain has picked up again outside. Apparently she wanted to sleep with papa. The rain suddenly became heavy. Tomorrow, the day I go home, it will be sunny. good night. Morning of the 5th day It’s sunny this morning. The two sloths are lazing around on the bed behind them. mama desperately talks about a dream in which she hated being chased by King Bomby. papa doesn’t care about that and cleans it up. Once you have placed your futon and luggage on top, you are done cleaning up. It’s packed with stuffed animals… I store various things in boxes. The gap between the banks is the place to place this mat. It was my family’s bank situation. I finally woke up. I let out a strange sound and rolled over again. I’m at an age where I still want to sleep. Put your contacts, lotion, etc. in a pouch and store it on a shelf. mama puts away last night’s dishes on the shelf. It’s always like this in the morning. I’ll prepare and leave soon. I’m just going to run home today. With a distance of 530km, I don’t think it would be possible to do non-stop. Today we say goodbye to the snowy landscape of Akita. Apparently, the maximum temperature in the Kanto region is 25 degrees Celsius… Today was a beautiful day at Lake Tazawa. I discovered Aeon on the first day. U-chan’s favorite hometown village is also nearby. From here, enter the Tohoku Expressway and exit Akita! Departing from Akita at 9:20! First, I’m heading to Iwate Prefecture. Entering Iwate Prefecture! I came to a parting road on the Tohoku Expressway. We are heading towards Sendai. Entering Miyagi Prefecture! I’ve covered about 100km since I started. A strong wind warning has been issued for the section I’m currently running between Ichinoseki and Izumi, and the wind is blowing pretty hard right now. I’m planning to have lunch and refuel at Chojahara SA. I think I’ll eat lunch first. We each had our own meal♪ I was satisfied with the beef tongue♪ Von-chan also had lunch (while refueling) and there was still 390km left… Everyone was full and set off. I plan on driving while taking breaks and being careful about strong winds. Entering Fukushima Prefecture! From Iwate onwards, the snow has disappeared and the temperature is warm. The time is 13:47 and things are progressing smoothly. The inside of the car was getting hotter and hotter… Things were going well, but on the way we got stuck in a bit of traffic. Entering Tochigi Prefecture! I made it this far with only one break. It’s been quite hard with strong winds up until this point. At Iwafune on the way, you will enter Kita-Kanto Expressway and enter Gunma Prefecture. I am now on Kita Kanto Expressway. Once we got this far, we were at a safe distance. This trip to conquer the country with just my family was our first trip in about a year since the last trip. I hope to be able to travel all over the country somewhere this year as well. Looking back on my Akita trip…this time it was snowing and raining. It was sunny and we were able to go to many places, but I think the rainy trip will also be memorable. I was able to complete my first mission, which was to see the Namahage. There were times when I couldn’t go or not because of the rain, so I’d like to get revenge next time. There were some places I was able to go to even though it was raining, so it was fun! This time, it’s the Akita edition of the nationwide conquest trip, and the Tohoku region has now been completed! I’m planning to continue my journey to conquer the country, so I’d be happy if you could watch my videos again! Arrived safely in Gunma prefecture. My car was pretty dirty after a long drive…! I returned home safely After driving about 550km, I returned home safely. Although I took a break along the way, I was able to return from Akita in about 8 hours. I was able to come home earlier than planned♪ After this, I’ll clean up a little and go home! Let’s wash the car tomorrow and get ready for next week! By the way, the time and cost on the way back was like this. The cleaning is done and the inside of the car is clean. Thank you for watching till the end♪
