With Tony Gilroy’s hit Star Wars series returning with a massive 3-episode premiere for its second season, Greg & John give their Andor Reaction, Recap, Commentary, Analysis, & Spoiler Review!! Covering Episode 1 “One Year Later,” Episode 2 “Sagrona Teema,” & Episode 3 “Harvest,”
Andor Season 2 picks up 1 Year after the events of the first season with Cassion now deep inside the heart of the rebellion; as he attempts to bring back a stolen TIE Fighter, Andor is stranded, setting off a chain reaction that leads to even greater tensions as Bix, Brasso, & the other allies are subject, first hand, to imperial tyranny.. Elsewhere in the galaxy, Mon Mothma struggles with her crumbling alliances & mental state as her daughter’s wedding day (to the son of a powerful & dubious man) fast approaches…
Season 2 assembles a powerhouse cast as Cassian Andor (Diego Luna, known for Rogue One and Narcos) deepens his role in the Rebel Alliance. Standing by his side is Bix Caleen (Adria Arjona, celebrated for Triple Frontier and Good Omens) and the ever‑determined Syril Karn (Kyle Soller, from Poldark and Doll & Em). Denise Gough returns as the uncompromising Dedra Meero (Seven Seconds, How to Get Away with Murder), while Genevieve O’Reilly reprises Mon Mothma (Rogue One, Obi‑Wan Kenobi) with her trademark resolve. Guiding the clandestine network is Luthen Rael (Stellan Skarsgård, acclaimed for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Chernobyl), and the irrepressible droid K‑2SO is back under the voice of Alan Tudyk (Firefly, Rogue One). Ben Mendelsohn makes a dramatic return as Director Krennic (Rogue One, Bloodline), and Andy Serkis (The Lord of the Rings, Planet of the Apes) is also rumored to return as Kino Loy. Rounding out the ensemble are Vel Sartha (Faye Marsay, known for Game of Thrones and Black Mirror), Brasso (Joplin Sibtain, of Troy: Fall of the City and Spooks), and the quietly powerful Wilmon (Muhannad Bhaier, from Mariah: The Diva, the Demons, the Drama) as the rebellion’s unsung heroes.

  2. As a woman, I appreciate that a guy would question how the choice to make Bix a punching bag again after last season. The scene itself didn't bug me. I had a far issue with Syril essentially stalking a woman last season and ending up with her as his girlfriend this season.

  3. A lot of people are complaining about the Episode 2 plot with Cassian, but I think it's a perfect counterpart to Saw's comments to Luthen in Season 1. They may be Rebels, but they are far from an Alliance.

  4. Those rebel characters, are definitely representing real life Star Wars fans who aren’t ready for mature conversations

  5. Regarding the Bix assault scene, I don’t think they chose her because she’s just the character that gets everything dumped on her. From an in-universe/realism perspective, she was the obvious choice at Mina-Rau. She was not only a woman (seemingly more vulnerable), but she was also an undocumented immigrant. She was the perfect target for the horrible Imperial officer because she was the least likely to be able to cause any problems and the one with the most to lose, therefore most likely to comply.

    It’s disgusting, but it’s realistic.

  6. I have a bit of an opposite view of the rebels on yavin. I feel like its a great representation of the disorganized and undisciplined mess the early rebelion really was.

  7. Smart to make it ambiguous enough so everyone can insert their own political filter and still have it make sense.

  8. I want the best star wars trilogy since the OG
    shows the sequels
I said the best star wars trilogy since the OG
    shows the prequels
I said the best star wars trilogy since the OG
shows Andos S1, Andor S2 and Rogue One
    Perfection

  9. This show is just phenomenal. I love that they aren’t afraid to push the envelope and expand the world of Star Wars. It’s incredible

  10. Yeah I do agree it sucks to see all traumas inflicted on Bix. But also feel like it would be way worse if they created a new character solely for the plot line.

  11. I feel the only two points for the Andor side story was he needed to be unreachable for a few days and also, they were on Yavin 4 (Rebel HQ from a New Hope). It did show how rebellions truly are on the ground level, and how unorganized they can be…but yes, it didn't feel as natural as the rest of the show. Great reactions my dudes!

  12. I don't think the tone has chenged. the Show has just kicked into gear. The first season was the origin story, this season is the adventure

  13. I love this show so much. The only issue i have is no fault of the show. It was a rough one to watch with my parents because they lean mostly conservative, so when there were obvious political undertones there were a lot of arguments. A lot of which involved them telling me that I’m reaching or crazy. All this to say (and probably shouldn’t say it in a YouTube comment but eh fuck it) I’m just glad you guys validated my observations and it’s nice to have this part of the fan base that I can turn to. Keep up the good work and I can’t wait to hear what you guys have to say next.

  14. The Ghorman plot has me both anxious and excited for what's to come. For those who are curious I'd recommend checking out or reviewing an episode of Rebels season 3 called "Secret Cargo". I'm excited by the prospect that this series will get to that point parallel with the Rebels timeline, which would almost inevitably mean we're getting that Mon Mothma scene along with live action Rebels crew!

  15. There really are 2 kinds of people. Those who love this kind of show and those who legit hate it with a passion.
