Victor's death reminded me of part of Bane's monologue: Victory has defeated you. Vic got too comfortable, and too trusting. He thought he was safe, and he never was. Such a good, needed dearth story-wise, but so tragic equally.
Koi's monologue on this feeling like the comics, and fleshing out Gotham is so so on point. This is a masterclass on worldbuilding in a cinematic universe.

Just putting this out there, but Vick could still be alive if the wrighters mirror the Red Hood story line where Joker supposedly killed Robin. I didn't hear his neck break. He could've played dead as soon as he noticed Oz was trying to kill him. Also Oz walked away quickly too.
It's interesting that Francis refers to Oz as the "Devil". Because if you think about it it is almost as if anyone who works with him or is associated with him is making a deal with the Devil in a way. Francis made her deal by sparring him and betting on him to at least get her out of poverty as a sort of repayment for breaking her heart and in the end he does, she got the penthouse view she dreamed of. However, she only got it at the cost of her state of mind and now she has lost all her "dignity" and is a prisoner within her own body under the control of the son she hates. Vic made the deal by asking for his life to be sparred and the opportunity to prove not just to Oz but to himself that he can make something for himself in Gotham but his deal only really got him borrowed time and in the end he dies slowly in by the hands of what he considered his newfound family and was betrayed in a incomprehensible way that he probably spent his last moments trying to process and after his body robbed of what little he had and abandoned as just another dead kid in a crime ridden city. All he went through, experienced and survived just to be another statistic that won't even make the news. Sofia made her deal by trusting him to get her the connect with the Triads and help her get her operation off the ground. Just like in the past he made true on his word but the catch was it was taken right back from her first chance he got with no remorse or shame and her already mutilated trust in people was once again shredded. And Oz could've killed her, put her out of her misery and taken her off the chess board but his cruelty and cunning instead had him use her as a scapegoat and a first stepping stone into the world of politics. Now she is back in Arkham the place that almost destroyed her and she only narrowly escaped where she is likely to spend the rest of her life. You make a deal with Oz just know your soul is always on the line and like the Devil he ALWAYS comes to collect and only he will make a profit.
If Vic is really dead, it all makes sense because the series had the theme of killing off oyur Obstacles. So, Vic killed Squid for the same reason Oz killed Vic because both were a threat for different reasons. Same thing for most of Oz's ans Sofia's main kills.

Can't say how much I enjoyed this show. Havent enjoyed anything this much as this one. Personally I don't see any flaws, theres exactly so much time as there needs to be and all the actors nail it. If I don't see any won award later… And Im so freaking sorry for Vic… 😢

I kept forgetting that The Penguin is just straight up a villain and isnt an antihero of any sort. The writing is so good. It wasn't until Ep 7 and 8 where I was like "Damn he is a villain, Batman better beat the sh*t out of him now" lol.
