hello everyone welcome back to shop Mania I am the art dance now let’s be honest there was a time 20 odd years ago everyone really loved Japanese horror right and we all thought it was the most creative thing ever with The Grudge the curse Dark Water all those really cool movies and of course recently we’ve had something like you know the the one card of the Dead which is really fantastic and if you’ve been following Japanese horror you know that the the industry has kept continuing and kept evolving this one this one’s already out again another one that’s already out this came out last month in April and it’s it’s a very Indie low Budgy kind of film it’s called Poison Girl um and it’s kind of got a kind of got a bit of a good vibe to it so let’s check it out and see what it’s about oh and thanks Lyle for um Peace sorry I don’t have subtitles for you about 30 seconds in it becomes pretty obvious what the movie is about [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] my I do like we spot from from white dresses to red [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] dresses potential cult hit written all over it just saying and if I’m wrong just I’ll just delete this video potential cult hereit written all over it that is Poison Girl um and it is out already and uh whether it gets a English subtitled release and a bit wider release I would hope so because that kind of looks groovy enough to get a bit of a wider release and have a bit of appe Peel what’s the movie about you’re asking oh glad you asked hagino her h hband atsuhiro and her teenage stepdaughter moika move into a new house for someone who was not blessed with a warm affectionate family this was what she had always dreamed of however one day while hagino is out she receives a call from mikica asking for her help she rushes home and finds her house turned upside down Malika’s clothes torn to shreds and a strange young girl is standing over her with a pair of scissors in her hand an I want to watch this I do want to watch this it’s it’s a longish movie an hour 46 so we’re going back to um pretty decent length for a horror film and the cast I don’t recognize at all just looking at the cast this not recognizable at all and the director let’s have a look Li Leaf okay so that’ll get a few people excited if you’ve seen Li Leaf um this is the same director as that film so so you probably already know what you’re going to expect from him oh he’s also done Dome boy side and Dome girl side which I really hated uh those two films so ooh I’m conflicted whether I should still be excited or not but you know what I’ve seen the trailer and I’m going to say I’m still excited by it even though I’m not a fan of some of his previous works but it’s worth giving it a chance um so let’s do it that was poison girl now you can see in the bottom of the screen the thumbs up and thumbs down let me know if you want to watch the film or you don’t think it’s worth your time what did you think of Poison Girl is there something that you want to watch leave me a comment leave me a thumbs up or a thumbs down I’m the adans you are watching shock Mania and I will catch you next time
