I've seen the other versions of this story, but this is the only one that has a tragic ending. SPOILERS. In the other versions the leads forgive each other in the end and the FL is only presumed dead at one point but was actually rescued and returns years later. In this version though it seems final that the FL did die. There was also a twist with the ML that I don't think was in any other version. It actually makes me hate the ML even more. How dare he hold such a grudge against the FL for betraying him when he knows he betrayed her first. He approached her with bad intentions from the start. The fact he ended up in prison is kind of karma IMO. He should've let things go cuz he was in the wrong too, but his hatred was all he could focus on. I feel bad for Georgia. Now she has to grow up without her mom and I'm not sure she will be able to accept her dad. She only wanted a dad to help her mom but didn't want to lose her mom to have a dad. At some point she'll find out how awful her dad was and she should blame him for her mom's death. The only good thing about the ending is the FL completely gave up on the ML. She didn't accept his apology and never wanted to meet him again. Also, the ML now has to live with guilt and regret and one day his daughter will probably hate him too. That's a fitting end for him as well.
