Hello everyone, I came to ‘Takadanobaba’ today. There are many universities here, and I think it feels like ‘Hyehwa’ in Korea. Since there are many young students here I heard there are many affordable restaurants for students (Many cost effective restaurants are here for students!) Shall we go?

As soon as you leave the station, there’s a mural right in front of you. Do you recognize any characters? I came here knowing there was a mural, but it’s longer and more colorful than I thought. There’s an explanation about why there’s a mural here.

The area under this overpass gets dark because sunlight doesn’t reach it much. It’s because of less sunlight is getting here, that is why I think they made mural to make the atmosphere brighter here that is why I think they made mural to make the atmosphere brighter here

The characters’ color is very vivid and people like this characters a lot so you can feel the atmosphere is brighter than before so it’s definitely has a good effect When I was preparing to make a video about Takadanobaba I asked my Korean colleagues about the awareness of Atoms.

(In Korea, it was serialized under the title ” in 2001.) It seems that people in their late 30s and above are more familiar with the character so it was funny haha It seems to be an anime that reflects the generation gap. I think it’s interesting that Atoms invented here

(*Tezuka Production : The Japanese animation studio that produced works such as “Astro Boy” and “Leo, the King of the Jungle”) There is Tezuka Productions, so that’s why they made the character was born in Dakadano Baba It’s right in front of the station

There’s a big building called ‘Big box,’ which is a representative complex shopping mall in Dakadano Baba and there are many different shops inside They have gym, bookstore, clothes stores and game center So, students planning to have fun in Takadanobaba can also enjoy a lot within this building.

Takadanobaba is often associated with Waseda University by most Japanese people. Takadanobaba is often associated with Waseda University by most Japanese people. There’s even a bus stop in front that can take you to Waseda University. In fact, there’s a saying that Waseda University feels similar to Korea’s Korea University.

(Waseda university = Korea | Keio university = Yonsei university) I went to Keio University, and there’s a feeling that Keio is similar to Yonsei University, they say. Koreans would find it easy to understand, right? Since I went to Keio University,

(It’s like Korea vs Yonsei, Yonsei vs Korea? ) there was a bit of a rivalry feeling with Waseda, you know. It’s competition haha Takadanobaba is known for intense competition in ramen, curry, and pork cutlet, leading to many good restaurants

(Today’s menu : Ramen) Today, I’m thinking of trying ramen. Let’s see what they have! #Yakimen Tsurugi I heard you need to buy a ticket from a vending machine first, so let me get one. I heard the recommendation menu includes yakimen and fried egg, so I might order that.

I got the ticket! (There are instructions on how to eat it here.) Guys, there is description about how to eat I will show you! The information is quite detailed I think we should probably do the first thing written on the list first.

(1. First, crush the katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes) finely) It seems like you should crush the katsuobushi here with a mortar. You don’t need much force! You can easily turn it into powder even without much strength.

(2. Now, taste the soup as it is.) It’s recommended to try the soup before mixing it with the noodles. I’ll try my best not to forget! I wanted to come here because the noodle is very unique It’s yakimen that’s been crispy grilled,

And this type of ramen is not easily found even in Japan, so I’ll try to eat it properly following the method here. Hmm~ What is it? It’s really savory. I was curious about the soup base, so I looked it up it’s “Tonkotsu and Potato.”

The soup has a slightly rich sensation like potage, and I think I know the reason for its creamy flavor. (3. Mix the grilled yakimen into the soup and taste the broth with the infused grilled flavor.。) And then, mix the third noodles and taste it. They say the soup changes!

Let’s see how the soup flavor changes when mixing the noodles into it! Mix the noodles into the soup. Curious, hmm? Originally, there was a slight nuttiness, but can we say the pressed aroma of the wheat flour noodles has been added to the soup? It became really delicious!

It has the nutty flavor that I really like! (4.Experience the two textures of grilled noodles (crispy and chewy) and the nuttiness of the wheat.。) Fourth, enjoy the two textures of the noodles and the nutty taste of the wheat flour.

That’s right! Since it’s divided into crispy and chewy parts, I’m looking forward to it. Wow, it has a crispy texture like a snack. This texture is quite refreshing and nice. If you think of it as ramen, it feels like a whole new world, but it’s delicious!

(5.Tasting the changed soup by adding crushed katsuobushi to the ramen.) Since they say the flavor changes when you add katsuobushi, I’ll sprinkle some. I should be careful, I really like this soup now, haha. How does the soup taste with added katsuobushi…!? A slightly fishy smell is added,

But luckily, the original richness of the soup remains, making it interesting as the taste continues to evolve. (I was able to experience new flavors in various ways!) It might get a bit rich, but because the taste keeps changing, it’s kind of fun. Full haha. It was a good meal~

It was really fascinating; here, the ramen feels like a ramen version of yakisoba made with firm-textured noodles, known as Kata-yaki soba in Japan. the ramen feels like a ramen version of yakisoba made with firm-textured noodles, known as Kata-yaki soba in Japan.

I thought the charm lies in being able to change the taste without getting bored Well then, I’ll go to the next place. Everyone, I got picked up girls, now, hehe. Oh my, it’s a bit surprising, hehe. This young neighborhood seems really nice.

I feel like my heart is getting younger too, everyone~ He spoke English, so I thought he wanted to find the way, I was going to help him, but he wanted to know my number, hehe It seems like a town where you can feel that young vibe.

Also, I was curious about this place. It’s a street called Waseda Dori, and there’s a theater called “Waseda Shochiku.” It’s a completely urban area, and suddenly, a retro movie theater appears. They bring in new movies every week, so the schedule changes with different movies each week.

It seems to have a lineup that movie enthusiasts or those who appreciate old films would enjoy. As someone who loves movies, it was quite nice because new movies came out. Wow, this director is really amazing. I want to see their other works.

But when you want to watch in a theater, you can come here. It’s a movie theater where you can watch other works of the director who created that work! Oh, it seems like a good theater~ In Takadanobaba, there are fewer cafes than I thought.

It’s not a neighborhood with many unique private cafes, but I chose this one because it seems quite unique and fun, hehe It’s “Re:S Cafe Bar & Sweets.” #Re:S Cafe Bar & Sweets It was fascinating from the moment I entered, with the sign of Re:S Café and the dog-shaped mochi…

Although you can’t make reservations for seats, you can reserve the menu. I made a reservation via DM on Instagram. The desserts here are diverse and fancy, so I came to try them out. Among them, I ordered the most extravagant one, and if you see it, you might be pleasantly surprised, hehe.

Everyone, I ordered this! I really wanted to order it, even though it’s meant to be shared among several people… It’s a dessert filled with the romance of all things strawberry~ Let’s try the pudding full of strawberries first. Ummm~~ It’s so good~ Now, I’ll taste the strawberry milk!

The whipped cream is smoothly melting, and it tastes delicious. Everyone, this friend! It’s a strawberry-filled sticky rice cake! Can we call it a Japanese-style dessert? It’s a combination of soft rice cake with whipped cream, red bean, and strawberries,

It’s a combination of soft rice cake with whipped cream, red bean, and strawberries, enjoying the three flavors. The shortcake has a parfait-like visual that reminds me of Sapporo! It’s not too sweet, and it’s delightful! This one has strawberry jam inside, so it’s a bit sweet. It was sweet and delicious!

You might be surprised, but I finished it all. I ate it slowly, but it’s a bit funny that I finished it all. haha (This place is heaven for strawberry and whipped cream lovers…!) I ate until I was full!

It’s simple and charming atmosphere made me feel comfortable and it was really nice. I felt like I was there for a while…! I had such a great time, and time flew by quickly! How was exploring Takadanobaba today?! Rather than having a distinctive feature,

I think many international visitors choose it as their accommodation, so I tried to capture various places around here for those who want to explore nearby restaurants while staying at their accommodations. Personally, I enjoyed feeling the youthful energy, and for ramen enthusiasts,

It might be fun to discover their own favorite ramen here. Well, that’s it for today’s video~ Bye-bye~ *There’s a brief cookie video. Under the distant, bright blue sky,~~ lalala, vigorously travels Astro Boy~ What’s interesting is that in Japanese, it’s called ‘Ato-mu,’ but in Korean lyrics, it’s ‘A-tom.’

It was fascinating because the final consonant gets buried, making the same song feel slightly different in atmosphere, which was quite amusing.
