Beyond The Star Ep 8 Reaction – BTS Admits They Won’t Be The Same In 2025

BTS won’t be the same in 2025. And that’s bitter sweet. But we, ARMYs, won’t be either and BTS knows that too. As I hear each of them talk about wanting and working on keeping the group together after they return from the military,

You hear a certain kind of determination to keep things still exactly where things are beautiful comfortable and loved. But there is also the hyper awareness that everything will and has to change. That’s just how things were designed or created or evolved, whatever you believe in.

That is the blessing and the curse of impermanence, of time, and of humanity. We have to move forward and it’s the one thing we don’t get to have a choice on. So, we should know that while they very much clearly are fighting to keep the bond between themselves

And between them and ARMY, they will evolve. They will become better persons, better artists, but still different. And ARMYs, much as we try, will change just like them. There’s certainty in that. And the only thing left on our hands is to make sure just like BTS will we change for the better

Episode eight. Raise your hand if you cried. It’s so bittersweet, there’s so much I always love watching content about them, the ones that they officially release but also I wanted to sort of see how they were going to conclude the entire series.

And so it was bittersweet. There was like, there was some joy inside of me because I sort of got what they were trying to communicate and I do think that to a certain degree, I was right in the first episode, um, reaction that I did

I said that I felt like this wasn’t really about their  success or the records that they have broken, it was going to be, I felt like it was going to be really about three things, music, about each other, their love and commitment for each other, and about ARMYs and I think

I think I was right. It was really, at the end of it, the conclusion was that they are doing Chapter 2 because they wanted to go back and rediscover who they were in the beginning and that would be seven boys who just wanted to do music

But there’s also the undeniable commitment to continue going forward as BTS um and that it was a commitment that they are giving ARMYs because ARMYs were the ones that were there for them for better for worse. Okay, if you ended up liking this video, please give it a thumbs up.

That you see on your screen right now. Okay, let’s go back to the video. Creation is semi-divine It’s the closest we could really ever feel how to be God or a God. Whether it’s the creation of a child in the womb or a painting from a blank canvas or a poem from

The invisible representation of emotions, the ability to create is a gift of divinity. What makes or breaks us is what we decide to create. Whether we create relationships or gossips to destroy other people, we can also create art to unite people or trends for greed.

BTS showed us you can always make a choice to create something beautiful, in substance and in form. They were given the raw utilities to create, eventually, they achieved fame and success that gave them the ticket

To do just about anything and they made the decision to use their art for good, good for them and good for other people. It was a miracle that unfolded right before our eyes and it was a real privilege to witness that. Faith

I’ve always found it odd but also necessary that the most divine union, a marriage, has to have a contract. I mean here are two people, promising the most pure of commitments in the world to each other and they have to sign a contract to be filed in the city office. How so impossibly romantic.

I guess the tangibility of things is what we need to live in harmony. From contracts to warranties, we build our lives around promises, hedged against horrible consequences executed by the police in order to live peacefully.

So when Jhope said it all boils down to faith, faith that BTS will continue to exist I am aware that it’s a tall order. While they have a contract with Big Hit, they don’t have a tangible contract with ARMYs. All we have is their assurance that they will try to come back together in 2025

And that they want to continue as a group for a long time This is a test, somehow, and some will walk away, turn their attention to other groups or simply get caught up in life  and then move on It would be interesting who will have enough Faith to stay until 2025 and beyond.

It’s BTS and ARMY Several times Jungkook has emphasized the importance of ARMY living their lives while BTS does the same. Jhope drove it home in this documentary. To them, Chapter 2 isn’t just about them, it’s about ARM too. Army has been beat BTS’ ally in their journey and it’s surprising no one acknowledges that.

The truth is that whenever people expected BTS to do well in the charts, that pressure extends to ARMY to do better than they did before. It’s ARMYs that warded off haters,  clarified rumors and spent time to make sure   the substance in BTS’s music doesn’t get drowned  in the glitter of their stature.

Whatever BTS went through ARMY went through with them. ARMY deserves a break too to find themselves and as expected, it’s BTS who knows that more than anyone else. If you’re a real family, you never ever stop being one. You can never disconnect. You can live away from family, disown them, curse them, not talk to them,

But if you are family you can never disconnect. And it’s a relief that they manage to realize this early enough to allow themselves to sail on their own and still know that no amount amount of experience or individual success will ever pull them away from their family. Family of seven. BTS.

They are a family they don’t need to stay together  all the time to be one that’s the beauty of a real family Redefining Idols No one comes out of the military the same. I’ve heard that so many times from people I know who serve the military and from Idols who served before.

There’s something about being a part of something so dangerous by nature, something bigger, and something so out of their control that changes them. That’s why Idol groups never actually return to their old form after serving the military. Maybe it’s impossible.

That’s why I know the level of awareness RM has when he said they want to continue being a group in their 30s. He knows it has practically never been done before and probably impossible to get done.

What he is aiming for is something proper to to who they will become but undoubtedly still together as one. They have done the impossible before, so if anyone can actually redefine what it means to be a boy band in their 30s and maybe even 40s, it would be BTS. The industry isn’t moving on from BTS

It was very important for Bang Si Hyuk to actually say that that he isn’t really expecting anything from BTS anymore but to continue loving music and for them to gather together every now and then and just talk about their love for music and the happiness music is bringing them.

It’s not much for, not really for BTS, I think at this stage, BTS knows that already but for other people. because it’s a clear statement that BTS has done enough, they’ve done enough for K-pop, they’ve done enough for Korea, they’ve done enough for Asia, they’ve done enough,

Quite frankly, for other non-english-speaking countries they’ve done enough. And it is time to allow them to just do what they want to do and that is to just go back to where they began, as boys who love music and they should be allowed to just enjoy that process without any kind of expectation.

And everyone else should hear that. I think BTS is has already made a resolution, they know that’s what they want to do. But everyone else, they just keep on expecting for   BTS to come back and break new records. That’s not the whole point.

The point of this entire thing, the point of Chapter 2 is so that they can go back to to the beginning and they should be allowed to do that. Not that they need anybody’s permission but everyone should just leave them be and just enjoy this process. Accidental Legends

It seems counterintuitive. People who have done great things always talk about the effort they put into achieving what they have achieved. I believe that is true. You won’t achieve great things without  great efforts but Global recognition and adoration are a different story.

It’s not something you can get just because you worked hard for it you can give people a reason to admire and respect you  but you can’t force them to like you. BTS from the beginning wanted to make music that speaks of their own experiences, music that will inspire.

They didn’t set out to be Global Superstars, they were just sweating it out in the basement level rehearsal studio. They blinked and they sold out Wembley. That’s why it was scary, they were on a journey they never planned. Somehow they landed on an undiscovered land. How do you live in a world no one has been before?

You can take BTS out of the hustle but you can’t take the hustle out of BTS  When they have all the time in the world to do anything, they please they go back to working I don’t know them personally but based on what they are doing,

They seem to be the kind of people who find satisfaction in discovering the unknown, challenging the beast, pushing boundaries, and expanding their territory. They are creators to the core but they’re also explorers craving the thrill of conquering themselves and mapping out Uncharted territories.

One of the things that we clearly saw in their individual  activities is their dominance over their own art. They mold and paint and write the legend of their  own identities, each member is an alpha, a king reigning over his dominion, pluck any member out of that seven

And make them a leader of another group and you will be able to clearly see how they will lead So it’s nothing short of a miracle that seven Alphas can build a kingdom together and not wage war against each other.

I guess it is possible for love and respect to overpower vanity and grief.  ending with gratitude not expectations   I think the way that they ended the series was  really perfect. When they started delving into the boy’s individual careers and individualities, there were a lot of mention about coming back together

And it’s probably because the boys kept on mentioning it, so there’s this underlying promise,   an underlying message that although they’re going into their individual careers the priority will always be BTS and also that’s something that they  voice out, they said several times.

But when, the last person to talk was actually Kim Taehyung and he said that no matter what happens in the future,   he is most thankful for the fact that they have stayed together as seven in the last 10 years.   There is some sort of a finality in that and an understanding that although that there is,

That BTS members are promising that they’re going to come back together. That it is okay, that that is enough whatever they have done up to that point, that’s enough, that we should not be expecting anything else   And so they ended it with gratitude rather than expectation and so I thought like wow, finally

Finally they are firming up on that  message that let’s just stop expecting anything from them. That from here forward their priority is to just explore music, rediscover music, rediscover themselves   But whatever happens cuz there’s a lot of things that can happen. But whatever happens, what they have done is enough and they are enough

So I thought, that’s like, you know,  that was just a perfect ending for such a perfect career and a perfect series I would love to hear your thoughts though. I have to admit it actually  made me cry. Would love to hear your thoughts let me know in the comment section um

In this video, we react to episode 8 of Beyond The Star, where BTS openly admits that they won’t be the same in 2025. As ARMYs, this news may be hard to hear, but it’s important to support and understand their journey. Watch our reaction to this emotional and honest episode now.

  2. After the solos and their growth and maturity and musical independence BTS will change. ARMY will change because ARMY is not the same. ARMY loves BTS but now with their solos they are different. They have come into themselves. And bias will change to stans because we want to ensure that all the members grow and sustain themselves. ARMY has to be honest. Not all are going to support everyone equally. They are not doing it now they won't do it later. So let them grow. Let ARMY grow. When it's BTS we who are stans will always be there for BTS but we know that for our stans we have to throw our support behind them because others are not going to do it. Yes. Let them be. Let them be who they want to be the music they want to do and hopefully ARMY supports all of them . If they can't that's ok but respect them and their solo careers.

  3. Regardless of our age, we are all
lived another youth with the guys. They have all grown both physically and creatively. Therefore, it is strange to expect them to repeat the path they have traveled: tours, records… Now our joy will be multiplied by 7, we will love 7 new incredible creative paths.

  4. A very good narrative about the Boys, they always shown how much they love and respect ARMY and for that we should always be grateful ❤💜❤️

  5. BTS is at a level now that they can do whatever they want with music. They are at the top of their game having put years of experience into their craft and honing their skills. It might be a bit of a struggle to get all that back after military but it doesn’t have to be the same as before. They have their ARMY who love and care about them and want them to be happy with what they want to do with their lives. It is now just a ride together with ARMY discovering what else they can do with music and beyond! I’m looking forward to experiencing whatever they want to give us in the future. I’m there for the ride!

  6. May I call you my personal therapist? You always have such a wonderful way putting things into perspective with such profound meaning. Thank you again for all you do for true army. Borahae!

  7. A huge thank you for delving into this documentary. I loved your insights. Chapter 2 is going to be a sunrise – new, beautiful, one of a kind, colorful, and filled with music for our souls!

  8. Your reminder of their words and the endless possibilities of what the future will bring when it comes to BTS and Army made me cry again. There have been many times in the past when I wondered what kept them going because they went through a lot and had to fight so hard to be heard and respected. I came to the realization that the answer was love and gratitude for each other and for Army. They never wanted to let Army down, nor each other, nor Bang PD or just give in to the pressure, so they kept pushing forward with a strength that defied the odds. But then with the military enlistments looming ahead of them and being forced to stop due the pandemic, it gave them the chance to understand more of themselves and what they wanted, as well as figure out what that meant for them as a group. I am certain that Army was always involved, a kind of centerpiece, that their conversations and thoughts revolved around. They never want to let Army down. But it is time that Army stop expecting things from them and just enjoy what is coming on the other side of that mountain we all climbed together. I think that they will still be amazing, and I agree it will be different. I imagine it will no longer be a race to work with time restraints, but a slow cruise through the countryside where we can all just enjoy life together with no pressure and no expectations. I think the things I worry about the most for them is the people who love to start rumors about their personal lives and love interests. They are human, just like us, and deserve to be able to have that special someone to go home to, to share their days with, and their nights. That choice is theirs, and theirs alone. As close as some fans feel they are to BTS and the members as individuals, I hope that those certain types of people learn to let go and give them that respect and space they so deserve. It's ok to have a fantasy, but when a person starts thinking it is reality things can get dangerous and ugly. So I hope, for BTS's sake, that people refrain from that type of behavior and realize that when you truly love someone it also means that you have to also be willing to let them go. The other worries are from pressure of money from the business and government, I hope those entities realize that they should not be expecting BTS to continue the way they did also. Too much pressure could send them in the opposite direction, there has to be a life balance going forward. For them, and for everyone else. I expect there will be a lot of growing pains as we all learn to grow with them, but as uncomfortable as it may get, we must let BTS as a group, and individuals, take the lead and spread their wings even further as they see fit. Similar to a parent who watches their child grow, loving and supporting them along the way, we must also let BTS go and watch them grow, still loving and supporting but treating them as grown men who don't need to be told what to do, or how to live their lives. They need to learn, grow, make mistakes, dust off and get back up just like the rest of us. It won't always be sunshine and roses for them, life rarely is, but it's only through that growth, the joy, the struggle, the pain, that they will be able stay true to their passion in life. We as human beings always long for the past and 'better' times, but if you really think about it, their struggle and pain gave us our joy because it made us feel that we were not alone in our struggles. Then we, as their loyal Army, gave them the strength they needed to get through the struggles, and break down walls that allowed them to keep dreaming. Now, they have new dreams, new goals, but they may not be as we want…we should not, continue to depend on them for our own joy. We need to love ourselves, and spread our wings as well, just like they taught us. No matter what they come up with, we need to respect it and support it. That's what love really means.
Sorry, did not mean to write a short story, but it is just how I feel.

  9. They’ve established a legacy. For such young men this is an amazing achievement. It is time for them to move beyond chasing the numbers. It is time for them to finally be the artists that they have always been. 💜

  10. Thank you so much for your beautiful and meaningful insights of the documentary. I love it. I love BTS enough to let them grow and explore with their music and life when they come back in 2025. I will be here always to love and support them unconditionally.

  11. loved your analysis for each episode in this docuseries! The ending gave me a lot of hope. I don't know what the future holds but I just know that in some capacity BTS and ARMY will be side by side for a long time. It may not look or feel the same as years past and it honestly shouldn't. We all have to grow and evolve as you said. But the beauty in this symbotic relationship is that there is acceptance and love between the members as they discover themselves and there is acceptance, love and support between ARMY and BTS. 💜

  12. Again, thank you for your thoughtful analysis. I think that they really have earned the right to produce whatever they want. The test for ARMY will be in separating the brAGMYs who are in it for bragging rights and records from the ones who enjoy the music and want to embark on this new journey with them. By now, they could stop putting out new music and just do world tours every few years and have fun with their audience, no sweat.

  13. I really hope that ARMYs undestand that message you just said "BTS have done enough for kpop, korea, asia and any non-english country. It's time for them to enjoy the process of making music" 'cause there are a lot of people thinking that records/charts matter more than just chilling with their music

  14. this ep. is true but it make me sad. its like the song with v and iu . everything you say is true but i cannot help but feeling a little greedy. even though it does not matter to me i willlove them either way

  15. Thank you sooooo much for this 💜💜💜
As always, your thoughts about BTS are remarkable and amazing and I love you for that❤

  16. Omg BTS has just begun. They are finally going to get what they deserve. Accolades and honours. Post 2025 Namjoon said BTS will be better than before and do things only BTS can do. And Jimin said each member will bring their own story post 2025 BTS and make the stage even more richer.
Namjoon with his interest in preserving country's arts and culture already contributing hugely to give BTS and S Kr so much cultural currency and clout. He will be instrumental in presenting an already vibrant local indie music scene to a wuder world audience. Plus his second solo album will soon be out any day.
Jin is already doing lots with local food and agriculture. And his album will be out after his military discharge and definitely will be fun with few trot songs. And probably feature Coldpkay too.
Yoongi is the BTS representative for bridging local mainstream entertainment industries with BTS and Army. His Suchweta is so engaging.
J Hope will be doing huge work on local street dancers and choreographers and probably form charitable organisation to help them. Plus his legendary concert will be coming soon after 2025. He may have a second solo album out too,
Jimin's second album will soon be out too. He probably has concert tour already planned. He will be the icon of the era. Without Jimin its impossible to see BTS as it is now. Like a local astrolger said during their debut time PD Bang has to look after 7 boys well especially Jimin. He has to treat Jimin as if like to a neighbour. So far PD Bang has been unwise and wrong n his estimation of Jimin.
Taehyung has huge potential and probably got a big acting gig post 2025 awaiting him. Who knows he may be in Squid Gane 2 that's about to come?
Jungkook definitely already have path laid out for him by Hybe America. Because of military service its put on pause. It's interesting to see how it will all pan out.

  17. BTS members are so unique in that they firmly believed that there is intangible message to deliver in their creations. And they were correct for they broke cultural, linguistic, even space and time barrier. They captured elderly, intellectuals, artists and academics audiences at the side of this new generation able to address common human longings and aspirations.

  18. Thank you for your reviews of each episode. Sadly, it's come to an end. Do you still plan to do a video on the anecdotal stories of the time when you were original ARMY? You talked about doing this when you were reviewing the book chapters. I would find it most interesting, as I am coming up on my second Armyversary, and I missed out on so much. Thanks again!

  19. I do not think, Army cannot expect… , without expectation, there is no motivation… I don't expect them to create like a boy band, but a young men's music group that will finally be free to create, I believe they will enjoy it… And I dare say that this is what the ARMYs expect. Yes, the members have achieved a lot in the music field, but I feel their desire to express themselves freely as a group only now, I feel their potential and determination to show the world that we can please each other, they with their work and army admiration for them and their work. And I'm really looking forward to it.

  20. “Love and respect to overpower vanity and greed”! I love that so much! Imagine world leaders like that. BTS is amazing. So much admiration for them. Thanks for the great analysis.

  21. LA Times article on BTS is full of misinformations but its headline was spot on  "kpop superstars BTS were on hiatus in 2023. It may have been their most interesting year yet"

In Suchweta with J Hope, they recall how rapline as teenage trainees refused to vacate their flat when Big Hit was having financial difficulties and they told to leave. They didn’t know why they stuck on stubbornly despite knowing that their prospect was a lost cause then. This is one example out of many of why BTS are definitely the chosen ones and no matter what they will not drift or change nor their collective shiny destiny. HOWEVER only one big thing will change is the mythical status quo Army have projected onto them that 'Hyungline are not popular and Jimin is the third popular member in maknae line. " Example Jin's The Astronaut and  Taehyung's Slow Dancing charted the same with Jin in fact having the stronger chart and less resources like playlisting and versions. Another example Jimin's Like Crazy and Jungkook's Seven both achieved #1 debut in Billboard Hot 100 however with vastly different resources and advantages. Yet another example is how J Hope and Jimin are pigeonholed primarily as dancers with their vocals and rapping sidelined and their writing potential overlooked. Plus J Hope and Suga's successful and iconic concerts proved its not only maknae line who have individual star power.

So come 2025 its going to be uncomfortable for Army and not for BTS to see this huge status quo change among members. In fact it will be redressing especially for J Hope and Jimin.

  22. Of course they won't be the same. With the exception of Jungkook, they will all be in their 30s and all will have a military enlistment behind them. The military alone changes people, war or not. They are fully grown adult men with a lot of experiences that have formed and shaped them. They are now in a position to use the experiences in favour of them. The hiatus they've been forced to take will allow them to fully sit and reflect. If they came back the same, I would be worried about the lack of growth.

  23. My only hope for them is that the come home from the military healthy without physical or mental scares. Everything beyond that will be beautiful because it will truly be their choice.💜

  24. I think BTS has not just "done enough" ONLY for Asian & other non-English speaking countries but ALSO for English-speaking countries! Not only have they brought amazing music and art and been incredible role models & advocates to the entire world, but native English speakers (Americans in particular) have notoriously ignored & undervalued popular music in any other language (with only the occasional Spanish pop song sneaking through.) and BTS has blown the lid off that! Now, because of BTS, many native English speakers have discovered the joy of literally listening to the rest of the world. So, they've "done enough" for us too!

  25. There were so many great moments in this one and so many spoken gems, that I pulled out my notebook to write them down. I was a bit emotional the entire time, but when Yoongi and Jungkook showed up for Jin’s military hair cut I kind of lost it. Jungkook tried to lighten the situation, but the honest emotions of Yoongi’s face got me.

  26. The thing is, as an ARMY I don't care anymore about the external validation for BTS. Screw all award shows and "prestigious" trophies. As you said, they really don't matter anymore, because BTS has indeed done enough. As long as they want to do music, I will be listening. And if the day comes when one or all of them decide that they have had enough, I'll be on my knees bowing and thanking them for all the marvelous years and songs.
Even though it feels a bit bittersweet, and even at times uncertain, I am convinced that they are not done. Whatever the members will occupy themselves with will surely be worthwile, and I am thrilled to witness what they can conjure when they don't have the weight of the world on their shoulders and are allowed to breathe.
    Apobangpo! 💜

  27. Most ARMY's love each member as one of our family, so it doesnt matter of Jin wants to come back and make wine, or grow strawberries, if Tae is going to be an actor or a farmer, they will still be a part or our family. I just would love to know some news about them sometimes and keep listening to the wonderfull art they have created along this years. I just want them to be happy.

  28. I feel a huge void in my life as they may not be back the way they were. Juncook asked us (Army's) to go and live our lives while they were in the military, in his last live. I thought that was very mature of him. Rm has inspired me in many ways. One thing is to have a go at studying literature. I still watch alot of re runs and videos and have my Spotify account playing and streaming all BTS albums and their Solo material playing all day. Borahea 💜
